- Sometimes gardeners stray away from succulents because they've had poor success growing them indoors. Other times gardeners hear how easy they are to grow, buy them, and then watch them wither away. Well in this video I break down everything needed to know to grow your favorite colorful succulents indoors in a way that allows them to retain all of that beautiful color. Plants like Echeveria, Sedum, Kalanchoe, Graptoveria, Pachyphytum, and many more. I then go on to show how to do the beheading method of propagation as well as how you can create new succulents from a single leaf.

I appreciate that!
I have over 400 Echeveria that I grow all indoors under grow lights all year round. I have way too many succulents to bring them all outside and then back in for my MinneSNOWta winters. And they are doing wonderful. So it is possible to grow Echeverias and other sun loving succulents all year round indoors. And have them do really great. You just have to have a proper set up with really good lighting, fans for air circulation and proper soil mix. I do bring a few out every year just to make my outdoors beautiful filled with succulents. But other than that they are all “stuck” indoors where they are safe and sound. ☺️ What a Great video!! You gave so many wonderful tips for beginners and even great ideas for people who have been doing this a while. I always love seeing what others are doing with their succulents. I share what I do on my UA-cam channel as well. My channel is focused mainly on indoor growing of succulents of course. 😁
Looking forward to getting to know you better. I subscribed to your channel just now. Take care!
Wow!! I’m going to look up your channel now, sounds like an awesome collection you have.
@@plantvibrations My channel is still very new and I’m working on sharing more. I only have part 1 of my indoor collection shared. I have 5 more parts to do. 😆

Hi, thanks for the great video! Do you find that the rain does not disrupt the farina on the powdery succulents? I am always hiding one of my big echeverias from the rain because I don't want anything messing with her protective layer.
Hi! I’ve never noticed any problems due to that, I will begin to observe more closely
My QVC order turned out to be a waste of money. Your video is so good fir indoors. Thanks
Sorry to hear that
(IF) Only cutting off a Toe would 'propagate' Devin. the World needs more knowledgeable plant Teachers

Good morning from Central CA. I wanted to ask if you propagate with any stems? Or do you toss them? Love your videos...TFS
I have not done any propagation from the stems!
hey where’s the link to the rocks in bottom of pots? thx
which minute was that? i'll review and find the link
Great video Devin! Very informative. I am bringing my potted succulents indoors now to overwinter. I do not have a grow light, so I usually put them in a sunny window area. They do get a bit leggy over the winter, but I cut them back in the spring, and they seem to do well. I do have a question concerning a very large pot of succulents that are growing outside. The pot is too big, and heavy to bring indoors over the winter, so I was wondering - if I pull it into my unheated, but never below freezing garage, do you think the plants will survive? There are no windows in the garage, so no light. My other option is to drag it into my screened in patio. It will get the light it needs, but will is suffer from the cold, zone 6B winter temperatures? Please let me know your thoughts concerning this matter. I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you.
Unfortunately they will not be happy if left I the garage without any windows or lighting :(
Thanks for the quick reply. I am looking into buying an LED interior grow light now. @@plantvibrations
💚
:)
How about the succulent that was be headed, does it grow back to the new succulent?
Unfortunately no
Did the first plant that you cut off continue growing?
Yep!
Home Depot has a lot of outdoor succulents at a good price
Yes they do
Great video! Btw my air plants keep dying, so you know anything about that, I know to give them a bath once a week
are they staying too wet? enough light?
@@plantvibrations probably not wet enough
