It's weird, I KNOW I am good at what I do and that I was hired for a reason. But for the first few months I always feel like a moron until I get into the groove of things
Same here
Same here & sometimes I think I am not good enough in something in part of work because of that I imagine something bad will happen guess what sometimes it happens that where you get yourself up rather than hide
Me too!
After only four DAYS on a new job, the guy training me got visibly impatient with me, which only exacerbated my anxiety more.
I have dreadful
imposter syndrome
"you didn't trick anyone into getting this position." I now have tears streaming down my face. I needed to hear that.
2:55 hit and just instant tears for me. Exsctly what I needed to hear as I'm in my first week at a new job, fighting feelings of imposter syndrome. Thank you so much.
Starting a new job is scary but not given proper training is the worst I just got hired as a service coordinator for regional center and they already gave me a large case load and haven’t taught me how to do one thing :/
😢😢
Lol are you serious? You didn't happen to mention at the interview that you were capable of fulfilling the requirements of the role, did you? Or did you say you have no experience, are not confident and would need one on one intensive training? Sorry, that sounds harsh, but you can't be serious.
Did the job get better? Did they train u?
Just got a new job in corporate America, very intimidating atmosphere, I’m trying to build relationships and it’s so stressful and I have anxiety hope it works out
Tip one, relationships! Anxiety intensifies. 🤣
Thanks for this. I start a new job next week, anxious, and needed help with my mindset
Nice video. Reduce intrusive thoughts to feel better Be careful what you feed your mind. Avoid comparing yourself with others, reduce watching negative social media and avoid constipation as it affects the mind. Your breathing is closely related to the brain [mind] and gives relief from stress-anxiety. For a relaxed mind observe the sensations of your natural incoming--outgoing breath at the entrance of the nostrils for 10-15 minutes or more. You can sit or lay down--eyes closed--No deep breathing. Don’t fight your thoughts. Never meditate with expectations. Make it a habit to observe your breath day and night before sleep, at work, when travelling, walking etc with eyes open or closed. Best wishes--Counsellor.
Omg, you're the man. You really helped me out there, buddy!
I’m about to start working offshore and staying 5 hours away from my family for weeks on end and I can’t say exactly how terrified I am but I’m praying to god I can get used to it fast and enjoy life moving foreard

I've been in my new job 2 days, I feel like running away. I suffer terribly with mental health, I'm totally overwhelmed.

I can't do it...
Sorry. Totally off topic Will but you look and sound like a journalist from east Idaho news, Nate Eaton. He's on UA-cam.
I’m better looking but totally! 😂
Starting new job in 2 hrs... Ive always ONLY had in home health jobs. Never a job, like, AT a place... Always on my own timeframe essentially.... Im freaking out. I haven't worked in 15 years. Taking care if my mother who needed constant care. Unpaid obviously. Because she had severe mental health issues and couldn't have strangers come in, so she lived with me. She took her life almost a year ago... Now idk how to function in the world. She was my priority always... My husband hired me. And i can't really do anything. The people there are going to lose patience. Im so insanely terrified.
How's it going buddy
I suffer with Imposter Syndrome. It’s very real!
Great video! I just started a position at a company I’ve always wanted to be a part of - Anheuser Busch. I have new hire nerves and this helped put things into perspective.
How's your new job going? I'll be starting at a company that I've been wanted to work at for years and am so nervous.
@@sandooch6465 it’s going well! I’m in my 4th week currently. A little worried about work volume once I fully transition into my role, but it’s going smooth so far! What is it that makes you nervous?
@@WesT-ge2jh that's great! I'm sure you'll be able to handle anything they throw at you. The first couple of months are the worst for most, right?
I'll be an administrative assistant at my sister's company. While I am so grateful to have her there to train me, as she has the patience of a saint, it's a job I've never done before. Even though she has assured me that I will have it all down in 2-3 weeks. So I just have to trust her, work through my anxiety and take it one day at a time.
@@sandooch6465 yeah, the first months are always tough. I’ve found that a positive attitude is the most powerful tool. And being where your feet are AKA not worrying about what’s ahead and being in the present moment.
@@WesT-ge2jh great advice! All my best to you.
Right off the bat, you gave me anxiety.
I think focusing on the WORK and building relationships slowly is the best bet in a new job.
Tomorrow (job training) I’ll be worrying about who I gel with instead of focusing on learning the job.
This is horrible advice for people who have social anxiety.
It was the opposite for me, acknowledging that it can be stressful made me feel normal for being stressed about it and took away some of this stress. It is just normal to worry, everyone does, so why worry about it that much if everyone is in the same shoes in this position
:)
this is terrible advice
Never let your intrusive thoughts win Delong 😂❤
