That jackets cool I like how it's got a slot for a mobile phone for your left wrist.
Best relax ( no idiot screaming ) instructions i have seen
Greetings from the Netherlands
I’ve definitely dropped a bike pulling in the clutch when turning at low speeds and stalled the bike. And over I went. Got back up and practiced to not pull in the clutch. It’s such a natural instinct to want to pull in the clutch. Same thing with the front brake, “grabbing it” seems to be instinctive. I’m practicing. In real world experiences, just last night, I grabbed my front brake, luckily I was going pretty slow and didn’t high side or do a stoppie! 👍😬🌟😊 Thank you for making such excellent and detailed videos!
I’m right there with you. All we can do is practice and get better!
@@jshumphress13 For sure! Thanks for your reply! 😊👍
Happened with all of us... especially difficult for top heavy bikes
@@PRO2358 Thanks for saying this about top heavy bikes. 😊
It happened to me already two weeks ago, I just got my new motorcycle and I was getting scared after my second time, that I lost control, heating the throttle and let the bike go, it took off for a good 12-15 ft. having my new motorcycle for a month, I thought I wanted to stop for good, last time I ride one 250 was 18 years ago, now I got the street bob 114, maybe was a mistake..
Nice videos! Thank you for your help,
I am going to go out to practice tomorrow
After watching your videos on slow speed, I had no problem passing my M class test with a R1200RT. First bike I have ever owned and haven't driven a bike in over 43 years. Thanks. I also take your advise and practice, practice and practice.
Fantastic! Can't wait to get a bike now after watching your excellent videos. I looked at a second hand bike yesterday and applied your technique (seen on an earlier video) and it worked flawlessly! I wasn't afraid and thought of your instructions as I did a U turn using the clutch. Your help is invaluable. Many thanks from me and probably thousands of others.
Always good to watch Greg demonstrate so smoothly
I'm always blown away with the control you have in these tight turns and with a big heavy bike too.....
I can turn my 600 Bandit reasonably well but not like you're turning that big 1250.... awesome videos...learning all the time
You are saving lives 👍
understanding angular momentum. Motion, mechanical balance, positive friction. It's all physics but we just do it without all the thinking.
Super! When I've practiced tight bends for the 1st time, I got scarred and I dropped the bike for the 10/10 reason... 2nd time and after that I've done it properly bcs I just did what you're saying in this video and I've leaned the bike properly... You also have another great video where you explain that we must go over the fear of leaning the bike. Great video!👍
Great video thank you. Such a treat to watch how smooth you are.
Keep up the good work Young Man. Glad to see you doing so well. People who work hard deserve good things.

Fantastic video! I've been riding all year round for over a year here in the south of Portugal. Put over 10k miles on my Indian Scout. Still learning from your videos. Also just downloaded your app Please keep em coming.
True, true...and it needs tons of practice...The "high speed" turns by you at 4:46 are superb. I am not yet there, but at least I can see what is possible. Thanks a million for that video.
Another great video thanks👍👌
Again a great video with a very clear explanation 😎`. Thanks 👌
Thank you, the best slow speed tip i have heard from anyone, ur second best tip was, learn to “lean”
That helmet makes you look like a cop. If I saw you I would definitely double check my speed to be sure.
With my big & bright Clearwater lights I have and the white helmet, people move over real quick 😎
EdEdThePoliceman
Just add orange reflective stickers in the back of that helmet and blend with the French police…
Those little BMWs look like a lot of fun!
This is super helpful info. My biggest issue isn’t making a 6.1m uturn for a test, it’s doing it in a marked box 😂😂 I get target fixation on this lines and almost/do drop my bike. Then again I’m only 15 days into riding haha
Been riding for 5 years now but I still watch these kinds of videos.
Great vid as always my friend, keep it up.
I've been riding for 20 off-road. Just recently started driving on Road and his videos have been excellent for making the transition.
Greetings Motojitsu. Love all your incredible videos and the valuable no-nonsense info you share on a regular basis, hey where did you get that cool rear trunk on your bike and is it a universal mount?
It’s bmw top case 👍🏼
@@MotoJitsu thanks for the quick response, I'm looking for a case like that to mount on my 2021 Honda rebel luggage rack, I strap a gym back to it with Rokstraps but getting tired of doing this everytime I ride, I ride with tools, air pump, first aid kit , water, etc,
bro you just come on here and flex better tight turns than 75% percent of riders... with no throttle???? you're a savage lol
😂
@@MotoJitsuI love your channel bro. Please post if you ever come to Georgia bro I would love to group ride with you and friends ❤
Will do! 👍🏼👍🏼
Is it all in the way your turn your head that helps too, I noticed you looked exactly at every turn.
Question. Have you ever used or adjusted a clutch to have no or little dead zone? Would than be a benefit/would you like that or no?
That dead zone is called free play. Anything with a clutch needs free play trucks cars whatever or you will always be slipping the clutch and it will burn up.
Is AS 200 a good bike i am confuse buying 2nd hand
Dropped my bike doing u turn on steep hill made the mistake of looking at the kerb instead of were I was going .I new not to look at the kerb but became fixated with it breaked but with the bike been leaning over in the turn it was to heavy for me to hold when I stopped. Snapped clutch leaver . Annoyed with myself even as I was looking at the kerb I was telling myself to look were I wanted to go but could not take my eyes off the kerb
I was taught to stay in the friction zone, with some throttle to get 3000 rpm, and modulate my speed with the rear brakes only. Is this a good technique also?
Many ways to do one thing. No “one” way. Learn all ways.
You must be shapeless, formless, like water. When you pour water in a cup, it becomes the cup. When you pour water in a bottle, it becomes the bottle. When you pour water in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Water can drip and it can crash. Become like water my friend. - Bruce Lee
@@MotoJitsu thanks I see you cover this in your last video, I'll keep watching and practicing
I’m a new rider, just been practicing around my house and residential areas. Downshifting and understanding the rpm’s and how the gears work is the hardest part, though I’m getting the hang of it. I’ve watched many videos so far and just to make sure, when you’re turning at slow speed either from a stop or entering a cul-de-sac, you are counter steering correct?
Also, if I’m turning say coming from a street where the speed limit is 45mph, and I’m turning right but don’t have to stop I’ve been pulling in the clutch and banging the gears til I’m in 1 while I turn but it feels like the engine is lugging when I slowly let it out, though I haven’t stalled yet. Do you have a video on this? I’ve found videos though nobody mentions what gear they are in while doing what with the clutch or throttle. I guess im just a bit afraid if I stay in 2nd gear, I’ll turn at 10-12 mph and stall out since I’m going too slow
Counter steering is how you get the bike the lean (and turn) while rolling. From a stop you could take off going straight then counter steer to get the bike to lean and turn...or just start with your bars already turned..up to you.
You can go from whatever gear you wish all the way down to first if that's what the speed requires you to do...if you're going from 45mph to 30mph...first gear is too low to go to...if it's 45mph going down to a 5mph turn, then yes you'll want to be in first gear.
Best thing for you to do is keep doing what you're doing..things like this you'll figure out what works best for you and your bike with more miles. Go ride 3,000 miles between now and September 1st then write back to me in an email and I bet you'll have figured it out. MotoJitsu.com/contact
@@MotoJitsu appreciate it! I’m watching videos every day and then trying to apply it to my riding. Sometimes I’ve noticed I’ve been overthinking it and the best way to learn is by doing it in a controlled setting
Good one thanks, and of course your leaning weight opposite to the turn...
I'm definitely going to try 3 fingers instead of 2, i noticed 2 finger clutching has its flaws in terms of using left bar controls.
Turns out that 3 finger clutch prevents my pinky from gripping the bar, so i'll have to get better fitting gloves before it's viable.
Hi Fast Eddie, do you have a video on how to improve u-turns from a stop/standstill ? Thanks
Yes
looks like I've just got plans for this evening )
if i'm release the clutch to keep the bike stay up i can't go correctly in 19 inches lane in my U turn exercise (22 ft U-turn), any other advice?
@motojitsu do you do these slow speed maneuvers in first gear? second?
always 1st
@Motojitsu I unfortunately have clipons on my VFR800 and have had a hard time finding a higher up alternative like helibars or a hurricane bar available in my country, the clipons make the turning radius of my bars very inconveniently small because my wrist gets sandwiched into the tank before I can even get full lock.
What techniques could help better control the clutch and throttle in those scenarios where my hand position is forced to be suboptimal?
These two will help...but basically you need a whole lot of lean angle and practice.

ua-cam.com/video/F6tKzqILS6A/v-deo.html
@@MotoJitsu 👌 thanks, will check those videos out, i think i saw them when i still had my ADV bike so didn't really pay close attention to applying those techniques. 😅
I was trying the drills on your app and found that doing parking spaces level 2 was almost impossible with my bars not turning enough and my control inputs being ruined by my hands being pushed into the tank, so I lost my nerve and stopped, thinking I needed to replace my bars to get the kind of control I was used to on my old bike.
@@MotoJitsu Another thing I wanted to ask, I have a combined braking system on my bike, so pressing the rear brake sends some pressure to the front, how does that affect the way I utilise the back brake for low speed manoeuvres?
Just use the rear like it's not connected...nothing to worry about because you're never using more than 10% of rear brake anyway. It's mostly clutch and throttle.
good stuff.....now go and practice
I know its a expensive motorcycle and I respect that but I wish if you could do a video where the bike gonna fall and you trying to save it with the clutch etc. if u know what I mean 👍🏼
My entire playlist on slow speed tips I go over this
Not sure if you’ve ever mentioned it but what’s the medical alert tag in your jacket arm?
MotoJitsu.com/gear has all my stuff including the tag
what went wrong when i let out the clutch to stop a fall but the bike went over anyway, it felt to me like i looked to far behind me, is that even possible
I've watched so many instruction videos, I should be an expert. Now I just need a bike to try all this 😅
Go get one, man! You won’t regret it.
I have a R6 RJ03 from 2002 and I cannot use the clutch only. It always stalls, I can't even roll with a decent amount of speed. :/
quick question, is it ok to slip the clutch while in 2nd or even 3rd gear?
sorry if this is a nooob question
you usually only do any clutch slipping in first while you're doing stuff like this under 15mph.
Thanks! I appreciate the quick response!
"doesnt matter how many fingers you use..."
thats what she said :D
What gloves you got, Eddie ?
MotoJitsu.com/gear has all my stuff....these are Lee Parks' Sumos. the link to his site is on my site
yikes! sound scarry but I wanna try!
I know your most watched videos is slow sleep turns and u turns. May you do videos with doing the u turns but also setting your go pro on handling the clutch and throttle.
I have videos like that already. ua-cam.com/video/UPKSDa5OCGA/v-deo.html
Just found out why my uturns are horrible it is because I'm not looking where I want to go instead of right in front of me is there any way to overcome the vision problem as I think it might be a confidents thing.
Yes more practice. 15 mins a day for the rest of the month will solve it.
Try it on a bicycle. Worked wonders for me. You can really feel your body and bicycle respond. I'm prepping for my license.
Hey man, huge fan of yours! I'd love to cut a few seconds of your clips and introduce you in a few of my videos if that is okay with you of course?
Sure :)
Thank you, I will notify you as soon as I use some parts, thank you so much!
email me the video so I can see it before you post it MotoJitsu.com/contact

Why in moto gymkhana they don't use the clutch at all? What's the difference between their and your u-turns? Thank you!
Many ways to do one thing. There’s no “one” way
@@MotoJitsu ok! I was thinking I was wrong to practice the "no clutch" way..I will try your method practicing throttle and clutch ✌️
@@ErosSirianni Bike Mechanic here, The Moto Gymkhana bikes are geared so low, that its almost impossible to stall them. They are designed to compete at those lower speeds, with big lean angles, riding the rear brake in tight turns. The method Eddy is showing us, can be used on any bike, at low safe speeds on any surface. Like he always says tho, do what works for you, there i no "one way. PS I have helped build a couple Moto Gymkhana bikes, and they are pretty specialized for those courses.
@@Albertalorian i don't think it's about bike mechanics, I use to practice moto gymkhana with my cb650r not prepared at all, and I don't use clutch nor in first neither in second gear. Btw I agree with the statement "there is no one way"
400 GANG APPLY SIGHT THROTTLE WHEN EASING CLUTCH, thank me later! Might feel like a 1200s on twisties, but not with Uturns lol
