That’s for the refresh. For the next one, it would help to demo from a standing start. It’s easier to turn with consistent movement. The challenge is making a u turn. Moving from a standing start when you can’t initiate a lean. Especially on a typically crowned road that has you going downhill at the start of the turn. I modulate the clutch but it’s tricky, especially given the bars are basically kept full lock. Just a suggestion!
Its literally the same, just go between 2k/3k steady trottle rpm (depends on the supersport) and keep it around that, look left or right (twisting ure neck is the key, find a looking point) release the clutch to its breaking point and go you are from standing still a u turn
I've just bought an R7 and have found low speed u turns to be much harder on this chassis than any other bike I've ridden, sure takes some practice. Thanks for the great video.
@@jonathandaniel7321My first bike is a Ninja 400. I got to the point where uturning in 1.5 spots is easy. Just got a R7, and I’m struggling to do 2.25 spots. I think it has to do with the aggressive posture of the supersports vs normal sport bikes. Especially in right turns, if I dont pay attention, I forget to do the “over compensate wrist” thing he mentions and as my wrist bumps the tank, it cuts power right when I’m trying to ask for power. Feels sketch. Im sure with practice it will come

Aah the old Beamers with wonky looking asymmetric headlights, kind of miss them... Respect for the patience, because threading the same ground over and over would drive me up the wall. Teaching ain't for everyone 😅
Thanks for the great instruction. I think you could go tighter on some of those, but you looked like you didn't want to accidentally drop your buddy's bike. Point made once you were doing those last few tight ones. I love this stuff, but I'm a bit anxious. Been adjusting to slow speed maneuvers on my sport touring bike, coming from a smaller ADV... It's challenging!
Ok new rider on a katana 600. This helped me realize I'm not counter balancing enough but I'm doin pretty good only needing a little more than half the street to turn. Nice short n sweet video
This is something I learned really well as a kid riding a bicycle I remember leaning the bike over at insane angles and just keeping my body upright and leaning it further and further applying pressure to the pedal as it felt like it was close to falling over
Nice video! I'm driving a Honda CB650R and yeah it's pretty heavy for me, I always use counterbalancing on slow-speed maneuvers and I always have this question in mind..will the bike fall if I turn without doing any counterbalance but with enough throttle power on the clutch?

I always think its simpler doing slow speed stuff on older bikes which don’t have linked braking system as the abs compensation on the rear can be quite difficult to feel as its pulsing. Might be worth a demo alone? Ride Safe.👍🏻
Great video. Great tips and reminder it's all technique. However, what if you have a hydraulic clutch instead of a cable clutch? 2004 - 2007 CBR1000RR used hydraulic clutch. Thanks.
Motorcycle clutches usually are wet in oil so they are more resistant than cars clutches. of course it will wear but it wont burn unless you spend hours doing the same nonstop

What a complicated way to do a basic thing.... Fast idle, friction point, rear brake. Set the fast idle and friction point, and don't change them. Use the read brake as the accelerator and see decelorator. Everything else with body position is useful.

Why? Is it brcause of the torque?
