I recall someone saying this isn't possible because the upper floor doesn't load unless the second key is obtained.
That's why there will be improvement.
AFAIK, if a 0 Key run is to exist, it will be done by direct code
manipulation with the "executes arbitrary code" kind of tricks. If you play the game "normally", then it doesn't matter what kind of glitches you use, the final area just doesn't load without the second key in hand. Forcing it to load would require code manipulation and, if someone ever discovers that, it might actually be a "skip right to the credits" kind of run like in SMW.
If my rather pitiful knowledge is correct, then "no executing arbitrary code" equals no 0 key run. So TASers would have to discover a code manipulation bug to do that.

Peach: Dear Mario, I baked a c-
Mario: *Kills Bowser twice within 4 minutes*
Mario:What kind?
Peach: S-stuffed mushrooms?? How did you get here so fast?!

For those wondering why it took so long, if you do the math there was around 18 rerecords every frame!
That doesn't account for the intro either. Great work!

Underrated comment!
did any1 ever notice that mario and peaches blinks are on different timers
You're pointing this out because Pannenkoek made the video on it right?
Okay, we go to every video with the SM64 ending and point this out every time. Yeah?
do we need to talk about parallel universes now?
no we talk about how we figured out how love works in SM64.
You're basically asking "did anyone ever notice that mario and peach don't blink at the exact same time"
Mario must be like , really hungry for him to get to the cake that quick
Bowser: Mwhahaha! My evil plan is finally in action! Now i'll finally be able to stop-
Goomba Minion: Sir he's almost to our final stage!
Bowser: he's WHAT
When Peach tells Mario here parents aren't home.
Bowser: Sets a plan for years with so much effort put into
Mario: *And I took that seriously*
When you only have the 5 minute demo version
Wait does that even exist
@@Plazix999 honestly i made this comment a year ago and i was cringe back then. it might exist. the super mario odyssey one does at least im sure
How……
To answer that, we’ll need to talk about
Overflow jumps.
Oh, and parallel universes.
Mom: It’s time to have dinner!
Me: One more game?
Mom: Fine...
Me:
That platforming section starting at 3:18 is incredible!
