Yeah, most of the TAS is a demonstration that 0 star is possible, while the bowser in the sky section is part of the previous any% TAS. We are making a new TAS where we'll improve the clips and make everything even more awesome

The half-joke suggestion of "just clip through the door lol" ended up being exactly right; using absurdly precise positioning and movements, Mario simply walks through the corner of the door.

This game is my childhood. It’s the first ever game I completed on my own, and actually enjoyed. Now I want to play it again! Other than that, this is amazing!
I like 64 DS TAS speedruns better than OG 64 ones. The DS game is harder to break, so the glitches come off as more interesting and impressive to me. Also, warp door by falling through floor is a good tounge twister.
i grew up playing this game and picked up a few speedrunning hacks of my own (slide-kicking up a hill was my earliest speedrun move), but this? this is IMPRESSIVE! i didnt even KNOW the ds version could quantum tunnel to this degree!!!! im new to the sm64ds speedrun community, so i can only feel excited about how other speedruns lay out!!!

Sm64: Backwards Long Jump allows Mario to stretch his traveling distance per frame (and its quarter-steps) to the point that doors (and even the vast nothingness of the world boundaries) mean nothing. SM64 Shindou: First Frame Walljumping allows Mario to gradually gain speed to the point that he can fly through doors while going forwards. SM64DS: Walls and floors? What walls and floors? I'll just squeeeeeze right through, thank you very much
