      @@sorin_markov No it's not debatable, and of those "giants" as you called them, there are tanks too, and clearly hanbin hasn't been doing any worse than them.
      He's been the most consistent player for Eternal all season long, has incredible stats and you think him being in the discussion for MVP/ROTY is debatable ? That just blows my mind. I'm not saying he should be MVP, just that his name should be up there as one of the best performers this season.

    • @SiwanBouss
      @SiwanBouss 4 роки тому

      @@sorin_markov that's still the best stats out of any tank you know. And just check for over 400 hours playtime which is a must have to be in the discussion imo (it's 1/3 of the max playtime you can have basically) and he ends up first in final blows, 3rd in damage, 4th in elims and 5th in solo kills, choi being the only one close to him in the stats, but you'd do well to consider shock only lost 3 times the entire season while paris lost 7 matches, meaning he's been putting this kind of stat with a winrate way lower than shock's.
      Yes he's dying a bit more than the tanks that stay alive the most, but he's still 10th out of 45 with over 400 hours played, that's not so bad. He also dies barely less than Choi, and that's also the only stat where he's behind cr0ng who you put as a candidate iirc while he dwarfs him on every other stat.

      @saberwow 4 роки тому

      @@sorin_markov right now, Hanbin's sigma stats are 1st in final blows, 1st in eliminations, 1st in hero damage, 3rd in solo kills and around middle for deaths for any amount of time played above 35 minutes. His dva stats are also consistently amongst the highest, across the board, compared to the off tanks. It's mostly because of the meta shift. Before role lock the meta was goats, where you have a lot of close range brawl characters. In brawl you essentially run into the enemy team so your Rein can swing into them. Now meta is double shield, where you poke out the enemy team. The poke style has more long range heroes who can play split and still support each other (mainly Bap, who can provide a lot of healing from far away).

    The only real way to counter this play on high ground is all going heroes that can go across the left side void. Something like dva monkey genji hanzo mercy lucio, that way they don’t get caught in the pincer, and only half of paris is there to fight, effectively making it a 6v3. Now it’s possible the rest of the team rotate around to help them, but by the time they do they’re most likely already dead and the valiant have a successful push off. Of course opening picks could be used as well, but since the team plays in groups of 3, it would be really hard to get a successful flank off without dying to one of them.

    Here’s how I, a person that’s pretty bad at OW, would try to get past Eternals hold.
    Like you showed, when the Valient pushed the Orisa-Genji group, they just backed off, and then killed them with dragon blade. What I would do is, knowing that they would back off when they get pushed, is to save Hanzos dragon strike for the Orissa group.
    So they would push the Orisa group, which would make them back down the stairs again, but while they are pushing Hanzo would aim his ult at the bottom of the stairs. Now the Eternal would be trapped just like the Valient was the first push. If they killed that group, then they could easily walk onto the point, and now the Sigma-Baptiste group would be stuck where they were.
    Basically what I said is, Valient should have used Hanzos ult on the Orisa group, not the Sigma group.

    They should have gone Symm and teleported behind Hanbin and his crew. A hard 6v3 push would have netted 1-2 kills, maybe 3. Mei for a wall to deny escape/brigg health packs/orissa pull.

    Could have gone with a 3v3 as well with reaper/Winston/Lucio vs the sigma group and Doomfist/sigma/brig vs the orisa group ...with reaper dealing so much dmg to sigma or even lucio booping him off the HG so that reaper can basically deal with him on lower ground .with bap forced to either fight winston and lucio or backing off to help the sig ..it would create so much chaos

    5:38 There's a mistake here, Hanbin didn't die, Fielder did, and so it should say that Fielder's respawn timer is up, not Hanbin's.

    I honestly believe junkrat is a sleeper pick on hanamura attack. In this scenario specifically instead of the hanzo in the downstairs doorway, a junk rat would've been better as he could apply pressure to not only the top right stairs but also the bottom right of it two, dealing the neccessary damage but i'm hard stuck silver tank so....

  • @hammie265
    @hammie265 3 роки тому

    Wouldn't it have been possible to counter it with a simple brawl lucio and speed onto their sigma? Since they miss a lucio they will be slower and since the orisa group is sort ranged, the only thing that will happen is a bit of poke from genji and orisa, but a bap should negate that damage. I dont mind the strat but I think it should have been better to have the sigma group consist of people with good vertical mobility so they could bait the other team in getting them off of highground, then getting back onto highground and poking them down from 2 sides. (highground and bridge)

    Personally, I would've put KSP on sym to flank Fielder and Hanbin, catching them even more off guard, and giving them a real chance

  • @liamwhite1719
    @liamwhite1719 3 роки тому

    They could’ve done a switch to symmetra. She isn’t particularly good but she’s effective against shields and her teleporter could’ve been used to get behind the Sigma stack and eliminate them

    Great video. I think it would be even greater if you made suggestions on how they could've worked around it, (if it's even possible without a lucio).

    The only thing I took from that video is that immortality field is broken. Hurts my soul to see a dragon halt combo perfectly executed just to be nullified by a single ability that isn't even an ult.

    When I read the title I thought it was going to be some super strong attack and defense paradox where neither team can win if they do said specific comp making the eternal game.

  • @nial1396
    @nial1396 4 роки тому

    i think you guys were missing the point of the dragonstrikes. They were not to kill sigma and baptiste, but to allow valiant to push into high ground by cutting off sig and bap, and then forcing orisa and her friends to move off of highground because the dragon is headed towards them too.

  • @GamePolicies
    @GamePolicies 4 роки тому

    I kind of think pushing the long range is better because the close range comp only got Genji to close that gap fast. But still, without a Lucio, they can’t push at a faster pace.

    Not to discredit the Eternal but the Valiant were so bad here. They could have tried to just Symmetra Teleport straight into the window or on the left hand side instead of going Hanzo Tracer over and over.

    What they should have done is have ksp with them at the choke and dragon strike across the high ground towards Hanbin and basically cut them off for a while, then push 6 on 3 to the high ground and then push onto point

    2 CP is the worst game in overwatch period, so punishing for the attackers if they can't push, or the defences needs to keep stalling one by one if the attackers manage to push to the point.

    The coaches for paris are so extremely big brained. The synergy of this team is too insane. If there is a team that could keep up with the shock its this team. Shanghai is just coordinated - this is so much more than that.
