Yeah! I would've never come up with Wrecking Ball to stop the Fuel's amazing momentum. It really was a battle of an unstoppable object met an immovable and adaptive force
This pro analysis with the danganropa music in the back made me feel like a detective 🕵🏾♂️ this was super awesome and the dragons surprise us every season
Hey, thank you for this analysis! As a viewer it was difficult to understand how the Ball suddenly started to get value after losing initially, but now I see how creative the strategy was from Shanghai.
I’ve been waiting for this. This was an amazing final to watch live, and now even understanding how the Dragons turned it around makes it so much better.
i stayed up until like 3 am for this match, losing it sometimes bc of the insane plays of both teams. luckily dragons won so we have a competitive riveraly this season
@@ahamuffin4747 I used to play OW religiously, I know you’re asking him but I just want to get it of my chest, the game feels repetitive, this is not what I felt when I was playing the game in the first two years. Competitive feels so boring after I reached Top 500, there’s nothing new in the game. I don’t know why, maybe because I play Genshin Impact now, because the game gives the community new events every 1 or 2 weeks. I’ve uninstalled Overwatch, maybe if Overwatch 2 feels refreshing then I’ll give it a shot.
I thought the same thing, but there's no telling how good you'll actually be at thinking quickly in the moment and making all the right micro decisions. Knowing the game inside and out is a leg up for sure, especially knowing how all the heroes work with/against each other, but you really need experience to be good.
5:08 holy moly I’ve never thought of using Hammond’s Pile-drive Ability like that! The advantages of seeing these Analysis Videos of competitive play! Thank you! I may play him more tonight to test this technique out! 👍
Insane video! Keep up the good work! Also want to note that fate may not have the most experience on ball, but he worked perfectly with the rest of the dragons, giving them the win.
Kinda hard to make mei work with dive tanks because she has little mobility and her freeze which is her strongest abilities and because she’s too far away
you will get rushed and forced to cryo and when your cryo gone, you will get rushed again. mei cant block any of those heroes since they can just fly/fade/speed amp away
Fleta was the MVP Although he was not the focus of the vid, he still did a excellent job. He was like the 1 year older brother of Fate, he kept the enormous off the point while Fate respawns and he did an excellent flank
Taking out just one piece of a composition may throw it on it's head so the might have to adapt really quickly to things they don't have the time for to practice... counter picks are better and more skillful imo
Bans are very very limiting and create enormous amounts of unnecessary fatigue in a game already as counterpick-focused as Overwatch. That's why hero pool bans don't occur often anymore in the OWL, and when they do, they apply for longer periods so there's more time to comfortably adjust.
I am curious. Why would Reinhardt, Tracer and Sombra be banned choices from the June Jouse? Is something in their kits considered overpowered? If this sounds like a noob question, it's worse, as I'm an outsider to this game. ^_^; Oh... and between the swinging and the mines, Wrecking Ball looks like a rather fun pick.
It’s blizzard’s way of freshening up metas. Every now and then 3-4 heroes are banned from play for a set amount of time and then we go to no bans for a set amount of time or for different bans
@@Briseria Oh, that makes a lot more sense and thank you for clarifying. I hadn't thought of limiting choices as a means of changing the balance landscape rather than as a necessary remedial action for a particular hero being unbalanced.
@@laurenz5460 I suppose that pick rates would be a pretty good indication of the potential existence of something going for that character, whether it be: - some form of advantage - being easier to play, or - being more fun Thanks for the clarification.
Honestly, the only reason this worked was because Dallas refused to swap to counter the wrecking ball. They had no cc and both healers were short range, so ramming the back line was literally free and denied Dallas most of their sustain- all Shanghai had to do was chunk a tank in that split second and neither Lucio nor Moira has the burst healing to regain that during the rest of the fight without ultimates. They either needed something like a Mcree to stop the ramming, or just swap a healer to either Baptiste or Mercy since they can keep healing during disruption. Dallas did neither; the only thing they tried to swap was to an even more aggressive tank when they needed to control their back line.
Why do I have feeling that this is a curse for Everyone in the league against the dragons. Cause of the 0-40 in the inaugural season, everyone will have to suffer at least 40 Losses to the dragons in either maps or full Games. This is a dumb comment, but honestly I can see this as a possibility
Ball is so good in overwatch if you know what you're doing. Easily I get 4 gold no death games constantly. It's all a matter of positional awareness, map knowledge and ability tracking. With those techniques you can steamroll, stall, harass and hunt down your enemy and get in and then get away from all engagements with barely a scratch on you. He litterally is the high skill, high reward character of overwatch.
When summer showdown comes to an end, can y'all do an analysis on how the heck Chengdu beat Dallas, cuz I would love to see how Chengdu beat the best team in the NA region
Summer showdown will be fuels since tracer and sombra are available. Wrecking ball will be less viable against these comps because tracer and sombra are hard balls counters.
@@mishima433 I think the apac teams were playing at a faster pace compared to western teams because they were utilising ball compositions. The fuel couldn't couldn't any fights although they got the beginning picks because apac were heroes that are super fast and stallable.
Fate momentarily went off the edge of the platform to get enough height for Piledriver to be used, and then turned around so that the Piledriver could move back and connect.
I really don't understand it being called neogoats tbh because this comp has been played in numerous metas before (with like Reaper/Tracer and Sombra as the DPS lineup though), plus doesn't Rein Rush achieve the same thing as Winston Rush?

You forget the fact that fearless changed into roadhog on eichenwald because of fates wrecking ball.
That was when it felt like the fuel were on the run mentally.
There were so many people doubting the Fate Ball when he was playing it a lot in the regular matches, the June Joust taught us that Fate Ball worked

I want each team to ban the hero before playing, like dota and r6
It would be to difficult for the coach to etablish a good strategie
That would just tank the level of play because overwatch is more of a counter pick game than an fps
