Platinum players are always too focused to care
Great video guys. It was 100% a mistake to not play Wrecking Ball Ameng against Spark, and they should probably have played the Genji Tracer too over Sombra. Their DPS are incredible, but even though Jinmu is a solid Sombra he was always 5-10% where he needed to be for EMP. They're a team that's extraordinary at doing damage, and playing with Wrecking Ball's big damage output is a big part of that. Versus Winston it means diving targets who are going to be lower (coz slam, grapple damage vs Winston leap). Playing to their strengths got them 2nd seed, do so again in the cup and they defeat Spark. Plus Wrecking Ball is strong against Winston, and the secret is that even though Wrecking Ball is vulnerable when hacked, and Winston is harder to hack due to bubble, Winston is more vulnerable to EMP. He has less health and no range attack, he's more useless and harder to keep alive when EMP'd. Hunters, believe in yourselves. Believe in the mighty Ameng.
I’m a sombra main as well, and I don’t know why nenne didn’t just stay with his team and hack ball when he tried to engage, this will even get genii and monkey. And on top of that there will be more lit charge for emp. Of course playing the assassin play style is fun, but it didn’t accomplish the tasks that somber needed to do in this game
Because Chengdu had both Zarya and Genji. Lateyoung would've just bubbled Ameng on his engagements if Jinmu didn't deny the hack with his dash. Knowing that Nenne was behind Chengdu also forces them to play more conservatively. If they saw that Nenne was just going to camp his team all the time, Chengdu would've let go of all the stops and just go full aggro on New York.
@@mikeshaftx The theory definitely checks out but it wasn't executed well enough. Nenne's timing was so out of whack with his team's dives to the point that it almost had them fighting 5v6 more often than not because he'd hack too early and then translocate while his teammates were mid-dive. Something that I did realise when watching this back that I didn't when I watched it live was that Nenne's hack from under the bridge on the wrong target (Yveltal) when the cart was approaching point B I don't think was entirely on Nenne. If you look at it, I think he was checking where the Mercy was and then went to hack Molly who had Trans at the time but it looked like the game picked up Yveltal as the hack target instead. If he hacks Molly there, it's a pretty easy kill, Chengdu have no Trans and that fight would have been pretty smooth sailing if they could have prevented the rez on Molly.
