I tried farming for it in BL2 on OP10, and on one run I didn't get the drop, but decided to open the Hyperion chests. In one there was a Skullmasher with a Vladof scope, all Jakobs parts, and a damage+ accessory. Technically not a "perfect" Skullmasher, but it had my favorite scope and pretty much everything boosted the damage. Who cares about the crazy recoil, I'm playing Maya, I'll just bubble and blast their slagged head off!
The fact that the Sandhawk, A Unique Blue SMG from the Scarlet DLC in BL2 returns as A Legendary Sniper in BL3 and dropped by Katagawa is one of the weirdest Returning weapons... Surprised _THAT_ wasn't mentioned XD
Ammo consumption and the fact that sniper ammo capacity isn't very high, makes it very taxing to use. Been running it on Moze and it can slay bosses fairly easy
@@nicholausstevens1262 well i said "one of the". Grease trap is super strong but clone often dies from its explosion on bosses who run in melee, for example ultraviolet.
The Unforgiven Revolver is a good mention. It was the Holy Grail in Borderlands 1 that made you feel like a God Of Destruction. In Borderlands 2 Gearbox ruined it's reputation not being a God Tier weapon. And in Borderlands 3 I'm happy it's back but the Maggie is literally the better version of it with it's masher prefix. Hopefully the Unforgiven Masher will return in Borderlands 4 with it's Godlike Status like in the first game.
In Borderlands 2 it's one of my favorite pistols to use on Maya. I like slow and powerful weapons that have a good crit multiplier, Maya makes them great imo
I definitely appreciate how each bl2 pearl that returned was brought back in a buffed fashion: Things like the storm or the bearcat were always considered to be the worst respectively in both the pearlescent and well as item type categories, whereas now, you can have fun with the bearcat in normal mode, and it's a perfectly serviceable c-tier weapon for going through the rest of normal mode once you get it, but now, things like the Storm, Bekah, Sawbar, and Unforgiven are all strong contenders for A-tier and S-tier slots.
On my fl4k I have a crit build and I had a storm a few times and I just spammed it and it shredded, even on mayhem 10/11, though not as quickly, and I didn’t have to reload often as the secondary projectile electrical beams kept hitting constant crits and returning ammo
Unforgiven still really sucks as a weapon, I would even say it was better as a gun in BL2 if we ignore the pearlescent rarity. Even Guardian shotgun is much more fun to use!
@@RemingtonSteel I used it on FL4K and it was pretty terrible. Maybe it is better on other Vault Hunters, but Love Drill exist and I think it is much better gun.

the BL3 one still has the splitting mechanic, the only thing is the DPUH version got nerfed as it now only adds one more projectile instead of doubling them. By default it starts at 3, then the middle one splits into 3 so you have 5, then it splits again so you have 7. The DP just adds one so it goes 4 > 6 > 8 which is fair because the only UH that mattered in bl2 was the DPUH. You can easily see in photo mode with an amped shot.
Gunzerker with two unkempt harolds and thunderball fists could fight god. I guess they wanted to make some of the best guns pale in comparison to newer ones like the free radical or tizzy
My first legendary was the hornet. Literally dropped on my very first playthrough. Then i got a venomous hornet when i opened a chest during buff quest and never replaced it. It was my favorite gun!
Its funny tho how the Ogre seems to be in every single BL game except Pre-Sequel i believe. Storm is my favorite, got it early on and frankly.. before that saw no point of collecting but that beast, at 18 level... You will use it until level 30 and keep around until level 45. It gives those 4 electric balls that zap, plus 2 bullets at 550 damage, plus blast damage and is just excellent at taking enemies that are behind cover.. or ambushing teleported enemies, you shoot a full clip just before they even arrive and are half done... I played BL2 quite a bit but didn't collect anything there but this sniper rifle changed everything. I was running thru the levels that i previously struggled. Then i got level 13 Smart Gun and i've been on the hunt for a perfect weapon when starting from Sanctuary. I never knew guns make such a difference, and i also didn't know why the bank even existed xD
I actually tried the Conference Call on FL4K Fade Away build and its actually pretty good on FL4K if you play Fade Away build. Granted it's not as good as the Butcher or the Reflux but it works on FL4K and I like it. Its terrible on Zane More and especially Amara. Also I dunno if you own any doc but if you do try using MANTIS CANNON on Zane :)
I didn't think the Flakker would be on the worst list. Sure it got nerfed to hell for a bit but when the numerous weapon buffs started rolling out I thought it became better than it ever was, at least in BL3. Went from a magazine of 1 round and 33% reduced damage to a 50% (17%) damage buff, 23% fire rate, and +15 mag size buff. With Moze I could get a near 30 round mag with the thing at endgame and it still does great damage on M10-11
Dude honestly I would love to have your outro as my phone back ground I absolutely love.the colour the rotating brand of your 11/10 it deserves that 1 extra
Because BL3 gives out vending machine legendaries like candy I ended up with at least a copy or 2 from every character's run. By the fourth character I had 5 Butchers at various level points in my bank that I just swapped out as I hit it.
I'm actually a big fan of the BL3 version of the Conference Call provided that I have a Re-volter shield and a few other things but I still love to use it thou not as good as it's BL2 version but with the right build and other items it can still be pretty fun to use
Worst: Hellfire. "Look at what they did to my boy!" I'm still undecided if the sandhawk change was a good thing or not. On one hand, this game has too many good smgs, and not enough base game good snipers. On the other hand, it still destroys in BL3. Best: Cobra/Headsplosion. Honestly, they just need to stop messing with who manufactures what, and with the name changes. If you insist the name must be the same, then the Torrent. Slaps in BL3, even more than in the Presequel.
Sledge's shotgun sucked even in bl2 purely because they completely reworked it to be super boring from its fantastic bl1 version. And baby maker in bl3 is still literally unusable because of the ammo problem
you should do a play through, where it doesnt matter what you use at the beginning or the middle, but by the end for all the takedowns and what not you have to use only weapons that have been in all 3 Bls.
All the ones I can recognize have been done up in some cool ways with their animations, sounds, artwork, mods etc. Another that might make this list is the shredifier with those underbarrel attachments. I do like the hellfire in this one though and especially after they increased the damage of its ignite
I really wish they would bring back pearlescent weapons. Even though most of them weren’t that great there was still that awesome feeling of having one drop 😆
one of the underrated legendary's,the Slagga needed to return to borderlands 3 as maybe a radiation weapon. i would replace any other underrated weapons on borderlands 3,like the eruption.
I'm surprised the Unforgiven didn't make it in the list, since this pistol went through a weird rework cycle. It was an absolute powerhouse capable of shredding Craw pieces quick, then a shit pearlescent in Bl2, to finally an utility gun in Bl3 only gud for crit swapping with basically. Helluva a devolution I suppose oof
Strange, I remember the Helfire being very underwhelming in BL2, but every time it's dropped for me in BL3 it's been one of the best on level weapons in my inventory. Then again, I only started playing in December of 2023, so maybe it got buffed in the over a year since this video was made.
That thing absolutely CARRIED me through my playthough of borderlands 3. It was so good, it was atleast 15+ levels underleveled and it was STILL melting bosses. Straight up my favorite gun in borderlands 3
The flakker was pretty broken on release with 10-13 mag size ( some builds giving it 4-6 shots per reload ) but it got nerfed pretty hard since Fl4k and moze could maximize its potential.
I got back on borderlands 3 a while ago and I got the butcher around level 27 and it carried me damn near the rest of the playthrough that gun was so op
I think the thing that could fix a lot of the weaker weapons is just increasing the fire rate I have modded and infinity and like quadrupled the fire rate and that actually makes it pretty fun to use so I think doing that for the bitch in the ogre would also make them more fun to use
when bl3 first came out and drop locations we're whatever the heck they were I got the conference call 4 times. In my first playthrough from completely random enemies and the first one was from the second ratch i killed after getting to promethea but at all of the levels i got it it was pretty disappointing especially with borderlands 3 having awful recoil with those types of shotguns on console at least, so I didn't use any of the 4 for more than a couple minutes each.
On the ps4.....you can get the hellfire in normal mode and it is infact a pretty solid weapon.......the masher is quite the disappointment......and I was fortunate enough to get a world drop bekah.....WOW. I I really miss the pestilent defiler and double anarchy.....but then again they weren't ruined in the other borderworlds.
I love the infinity, I know its a joke of a weapon, but it is my first bl2 legendary to drop. If it had a 1% ramping damage buff in its base Version it could be a viable fun weapon, but as it is now I like my infinite pea shooter.
Bro I’m going to cry I just got done with all the raids on mayhem 3 solo and died a few times and thought I was just bad but I found out that most people do it with a team when you use mayhem mode
Don't think the Kobra is in BL3 but JFC they absolutely RUINED that sniper rifle in BL2. Dropped it in rarity to blue, but then made it one of the hardest to obtain weapons of all time and it's horrifically bad to boot. Weapons that never got reprised from BL1 that I'm still salty about: The Orion ( and don't me started on how Bandit weapons are just a straight dogshit replacement for S&S weapons all around) , the Tsunami, the Maliwan Crux and the Defiler. Seriously, where TF is the Defiler?! I loved that revolver!
Oh man, the BL2 storm was such a colossal pos, thankfully they finally made it worth using in BL3. Conceptually it's always been one of my fav guns, so it's good to see such a cool gun finally get the love it deserves.
I would say I'm surprised at no mention of the Unforgiven at all, but it's still relatively niche. It was trash in BL2, but damn did I love it on Zane in BL3
Honestly if gearbox can keep only *one* thing from BL3 in BL4 they have to keep the alternate fire modes (I'm counting the manufacturers gimmicks like hyperion shields as alt fire modes (the fact that it's in wonderlands bodes well))also I love the fact that the bitch drops from arguably the biggest bitch just wish the gun was better
If I’m not mistaken wasn’t there an infinity pistol in borderlands 1? I remember having an awful orange coloured gun with one of the hook melee attachments on the barrel that didn’t run out of shots.
I'm interested to see that the Hornet didn't make it on this list, though I guess it makes sense. I think the Hornet was a great corrosive pistol that made short work of those Hyperion loaders in Borderlands 2. It was also easily farmable, coming from Knuckle Dragger, the game's very first boss. In Borderlands 3, it's corrosive Dahl bursts made a solid midgame return, farmable from the Mother of Grogans in the Anvil. I think it's still reliable, but given it's a corrosive-only pistol, it's in direct competition with Torgue's Roisen's Thorns, which I found to be a great choice as well. It might be hard to rate the Hornet highly now that it's no longer in a league of its own.
I kinda hate to admit this, but I started up a new playthrough recently and I went to Eden 6 for the first time. I fought the Jabber Magui and got the Hellfire first try. First playthrough, normal mode. I was amazed and now it hangs on the wall in sanctuary because its not really useable. Loved the video anyway.
funny you say that warrior is stingy cause Im doing a playthrough of borderlands 2 where I go through the game and dlcs in the order of release got to the Warrior and got a slag conference call on the first kill for the campaign
I guess I just got lucky, but my krovvy infinity pistol was so overpowered that i considered not even using it at all, because it almost felt like cheating. Its the only one i ever got, so maybe i just havent experienced the total suckage of other infinity pistols
I picked up the hellfire at one point and used it for like 20 minutes in bl3 without even realising that it was my favourite gun from bl2. Just shows how they completely ruined it.
For the Hellfire, I got 1 singular drop of it from Jabber. Every other drop was the vladof pistol Magnificent after that. Then I had to try mayhem 3 to finally get it to drop
The Ogre is my favourite weapon to use with Moze and I don't care if it sucks. It has infinite ammo, splash damage, fast firerate and it's just a lot of fun if you can get your hands on a x2 variant
@@sugoha_2548 well yeah you explained it, and justified it by saying that you like the infinite ammo and fast firerate. I provided an example of a weapon that fills those categories, but statistically better, also still fitting to your opinion of what you enjoy out of a gun.
I made my own Infinity guns in bl3, one of them has such high fire rate and accuracy that it basically just projection infinity symbol on to everything like a laser, another one shoots flaming bats that seek out enemies
Backburner, Hive, Plaguebearer, Kickcharger, Ion Cannon, Yellowcake. All still very powerful. Check my Launcher FL4K to see just how good some are: ua-cam.com/video/FwCq19papNw/v-deo.html
The Bearcat was a dang pearlescent, but in BL3 it's cursed with a squirrelly firing pattern and mediocre damage. Good in Arms Race, bad otherwise even for Moze. On the other hand, how about the Sand Hawk? Despite going from a unique blue SMG to a legendary sniper rifle, even after the ammo nerf, it's still a monster in most situations (and doesn't even require The Bee to do good damage).
Which returning weapon is the most disappointing to YOU? Which one is somehow even better? Let me know in the comments below!
The Unforgiven, we need its Borderlands 1 counterpart for the fourth game.

Sandhawk kinda returned and it is quite strong, but eats ammo quickly.

I love the infinity pistol. It’s not like anyone needs to replace ammo which costs and it can get looted at any level
Krieg mains seeing the hellfire: "Look at how they massacred my boy"
I actually tried the Conference Call on FL4K Fade Away build and its actually pretty good on FL4K if you play Fade Away build. Granted it's not as good as the Butcher or the Reflux but it works on FL4K and I like it. Its terrible on Zane More and especially Amara. Also I dunno if you own any doc but if you do try using MANTIS CANNON on Zane :)
hate to be that guy... but man i cant help but think how awesome Yoteslaya content would have been in these later games... rip
Dude honestly
I would love to have your outro as my phone back ground
I absolutely love.the colour the rotating brand of your
11/10 it deserves that 1 extra
The Butcher is so flipping awesome. Carried me to like 20 lvls above its weight.
Because BL3 gives out vending machine legendaries like candy I ended up with at least a copy or 2 from every character's run. By the fourth character I had 5 Butchers at various level points in my bank that I just swapped out as I hit it.
I really wish the Excalibastard from the pre sequel would have made a return. such a fun and silly gun
Yeah the pre-release art for Wonderlands showed a sword in a stone so I thought for sure it would be back but nope
I remember the Heartbreaker in borderlands 2, I used it for a KREIG build until I reached the bottom of the Psycho tree
I'm actually a big fan of the BL3 version of the Conference Call provided that I have a Re-volter shield and a few other things but I still love to use it thou not as good as it's BL2 version but with the right build and other items it can still be pretty fun to use
Worst: Hellfire. "Look at what they did to my boy!"
I'm still undecided if the sandhawk change was a good thing or not.
Conference Call was my first ever legendary and it hurts my soul to see it fall so far
All the ones I can recognize have been done up in some cool ways with their animations, sounds, artwork, mods etc. Another that might make this list is the shredifier with those underbarrel attachments. I do like the hellfire in this one though and especially after they increased the damage of its ignite
My first legendary weapon in both BL2 and 3 has been the Infinity. It's not strong, but it'll always have a slot in my backpack
Got a shock Butcher for Zane from Traunt the other day and now I have both it and the Hellwalker, feeling like I can shred everything
I really wish they would bring back pearlescent weapons. Even though most of them weren’t that great there was still that awesome feeling of having one drop 😆
Orge is my favorite gun in BL 1. And the sleek white material of atlas legendary is so memorable.
one of the underrated legendary's,the Slagga needed to return to borderlands 3 as maybe a radiation weapon. i would replace any other underrated weapons on borderlands 3,like the eruption.
The crit and the hail are probably the biggest returning guns i love that weren't mentioned
rip the flakker, the explosive Moze build never forgot you before the 1 in the mag nerf
I'm a Maggie stan, that pistol slaps no matter where you use it.
Well naturally fl4k can sync well with the flakker
@@Flesh_Wizard pretty much, funny thing is they both can still use it fairly well if you max out your mag size.
the best all round weapon is the melee button
Love it! Great list! Totally agree with all of those.
Dam. . . I remember BL3 Ogre before lvl 72 and he was my main weapon FOR A REALLY LONG TIME! This weapon just destinate enemies on Moze.
On the ps4.....you can get the hellfire in normal mode and it is infact a pretty solid weapon.......the masher is quite the disappointment......and I was fortunate enough to get a world drop bekah.....WOW. I
I really miss the pestilent defiler and double anarchy.....but then again they weren't ruined in the other borderworlds.
I love the infinity, I know its a joke of a weapon, but it is my first bl2 legendary to drop. If it had a 1% ramping damage buff in its base Version it could be a viable fun weapon, but as it is now I like my infinite pea shooter.
When DLC1 dropped for Borderlands 3:
BL3 Hellfire: *looks at Ember's Purge* Who are you
Ember's Purge: Im you, but better........
Great video!
They really forced the unkempt Harold so much w that buff 💀
Let's buff because nostalgia, damn gearbox
Honestly if gearbox can keep only *one* thing from BL3 in BL4 they have to keep the alternate fire modes (I'm counting the manufacturers gimmicks like hyperion shields as alt fire modes (the fact that it's in wonderlands bodes well))also I love the fact that the bitch drops from arguably the biggest bitch just wish the gun was better
If I’m not mistaken wasn’t there an infinity pistol in borderlands 1? I remember having an awful orange coloured gun with one of the hook melee attachments on the barrel that didn’t run out of shots.
“Tough boss not pictured”
Awww. Poor graveward
IDK about anyone else, but the Flakker feels way more impactful and damaging with its shots in BL3 than it does in BL2 and TPS
Hornet is good but not great. Deserving of honorable mention though
I've actually gotten a mayhem 0 Hellfire. Not sure if it was from the pc community patch but it's the only one I've ever seen/gotten
I feel an honorable mention would be the Unforgiven. It was absolutely shit in BL2 but in BL3 it's an amazing utility tool for hitting crit spots
An unforgiven masher was hands down the best gun in bl1
The conference call should have hit just as hard if not harder than the heart breaker, and it's a real heartbreaker it doesn't
Agreed
On Zane you want skullmasher on a eraser/boresplosion build
funny you say that warrior is stingy cause Im doing a playthrough of borderlands 2 where I go through the game and dlcs in the order of release got to the Warrior and got a slag conference call on the first kill for the campaign
The Sand Hawk in the hands of Zane’s clone is straight up dirty, pure utter filth, it should be illegal to use
After playing ALL the borderlands games your list is accurate dude
I guess I just got lucky, but my krovvy infinity pistol was so overpowered that i considered not even using it at all, because it almost felt like cheating. Its the only one i ever got, so maybe i just havent experienced the total suckage of other infinity pistols
Honestly, GREAT idea for a video
I picked up the hellfire at one point and used it for like 20 minutes in bl3 without even realising that it was my favourite gun from bl2. Just shows how they completely ruined it.
Learning about the fate of some of the BL2 weapons hurt me so much
For the Hellfire, I got 1 singular drop of it from Jabber.
Why not the butcher? Does the same but better
@@badbadthingss because I prefer the Ogre ? Ever heard of personal opinions before ?
@@sugoha_2548 well yeah you explained it, and justified it by saying that you like the infinite ammo and fast firerate. I provided an example of a weapon that fills those categories, but statistically better, also still fitting to your opinion of what you enjoy out of a gun.
I made my own Infinity guns in bl3, one of them has such high fire rate and accuracy that it basically just projection infinity symbol on to everything like a laser, another one shoots flaming bats that seek out enemies
Mongol. Extremely disappointing.
But rocket launchers in general feel so underpowered
Backburner, Hive, Plaguebearer, Kickcharger, Ion Cannon, Yellowcake. All still very powerful. Check my Launcher FL4K to see just how good some are: ua-cam.com/video/FwCq19papNw/v-deo.html
"tough boss not pictured"
Hot damn, K6! Did you have to do poor Graveward dirty like that? What did it ever do to you?
i use the hellfire on my splash damage moze and its decently fun, but i mean its splash damage on moze so thats not really saying much.
I consider myself lucky that a Maggie was my first legendary bl3 drop
I think I probably got the Ogre once in a couple hundred hours of playing BL3. I didn’t even remember it was in the game until you put it on the list
I've gotten it gotten the hellfire ONCE on normal mode. Then lost it due to the bank glitch
Tunguska? Bad? I found it pretty good when I got my first one in 2. Pain to use though. Had to get use to its crazy range.
