Yea most of the Dahl weapons have a really nice feeling to shoot. Nothing too fancy just a nice accurate realistic gun feeling. Especially soulrender and breathe of the dying
I've seen this a few times but DAHL in BL3 is my favorite company-the guns feel good, not a lot of drawbacks, most of the learning curves for guns aren't super frustrating, and they're not really locked behind too many frustrating enemies. And shoutout to the Kaos, my favorite gun in bl3!
The Kaos does some crazy work in normal mode. I got one as a world drop in one of my playthroughs, level 14, and it CARRIED for 20 more levels. I love the Hellwalker, it's my all time favorite gun in the franchise, so when I got one as a world drop at level 16 on the same playthrough, I used it for the rest of the story, but when i needed range, the Kaos had my back. That explosion upon killing does some nice damage which is my favorite part about the Kaos.

In Arms Race, there's nothing better than getting a Dahl first and then gathering Maliwan pistols for the boss fight. Dahl always surprises with the damage they do while being super ergonomic, and they just sound awesome.
For real. In 2 and more notably imo TPS Dahl weapons kicked ass. But if you didn't luck out on firing mode during ads could really make them less practical. Why the hell would I want semi auto while aiming?
I've only ever picked-up the Pitchfork once, in The Pre-Sequel. It's just so much easier to use than other Dahl Snipers in that game, and great for hip-firing.
My biggest issue with the BL2 sandhawk was the projectile speed... Same with the bl3 version too tbh. The gemstone rarity dahl guns from BL2 were actually decent too. Like the emerald ones

Dahl manufacture is my favorite out of all the manufacturers in the entire borderlands series and I can't wait to see what bl4 has in store for us in the future.
I know it probably isn't on here, but for me, my absolute favorite weapon in borderlands history is my Dahl Penetrator from the first game. It was max parts across the board, which is super effing rare for that weapon especially on the mag.
Night Hawkin is my favorite from BL3, but you can't talk about BL2 without the sandhawk. Both of these carried me when I was Fl4k and Zer0. It's just very satisfying weapons.
I love the hail, you can get one straight from the moment you get to sanctuary 3 and it can and will last several levels, and when it falls off you can easily get another. Also on an unrelated note I downloaded a left for dead 2 mod that gives the Scar a blue Dahl skin, really makes me pick it up more.
Breathe of the dying is really cool I wish it did a nova instead of orbs though, I hate watching the orbs spread and miss enemies. Also agree on killing myself a lot with it. Some of these weapon effects just shouldn’t do self damage, it’s just annoying
I really wish they could have found ways to make both Dahl and Hyperion snipers stand out, somehow. Neither manufacturer has more than one sniper which stands out as being anything other than 'meh' in mayhem mode, and both of their 'good' guns are returning items in some form.
Someone suggested to me that Hyperion snipers don't get more accurate with firing but get increased crit damage with shots. That could be pretty cool. It really feels like snipers should just be accurate from the get go.
i've thought up a legendary sniper for dahl which is its a 3 round burst the bullets are a bit slow but for each subsequent hit in the burst the crit damage increases by 50% its not that unique but a lot of dahl legends are mostly bullet sprayers or multi-pellets
I'd put the Seraphim in the Honorable Mentions, besides the slow moving projectiles and the element exclusivity it definetively packs a punch. Nice video!
Considering they nerfed the Sand Hawk by increasing the ammo cost from 2 to 3 instead of touching the damage, my guess is that they made it a sniper rifle in an attempt to make it less spammable while maintaining the spirit of the gun. All of the bonkers damage of the original without the bottomless SMG ammo pool.
One thing you forgot to mention about the hail is that if you zoom in the bullets go above the crosshairs making headshots and crit damage easy. The gun does 100% crit damage making it very good and underrated.
Fun fact, putting a single point into Duct Tape Mod negates self damage for zane, significantly increasing the effectiveness of the Breath of the Dying and works well for a speed zane with skills in blue/red/purple tree

Being able to skip the burst fire delay with the Nighthawkin makes it an absolute beast on normal mode. I will agree that it definitely falls off in Mayhem mode, and by a lot, but because the Demoskaggons scale with you, it’s easy to always get a new one and that will absolutely carry you through normal mode. I also love the sound it makes. Just a brrrrr of bullets. Wonderful gun.

Without the ability to aim down sights while downed like in bl3 (assuming you got the bonus stuff on) the Sandhawk feels painful to use. Alternatively as a gun in general it is quite fun to use and can absolutely melt with the right build, even without the Bee shield. It is a ton of projectiles after all.

Obviously not the strongest ever but out of all these, the Kaoson is still by far my favorite and what I considered the most well rounded Dahl weapon ever. Was the first M6 gun I found when they were introduced and it always feels satisfying to fire. Also I'd like to mention the Quad Bow, White Rider, Skeep Prod and Ruby's Spite as all of em are really gud in Wonderlands

I tried farming the torrent in the pre sequel it’s an amazing gun but I swear to you I farmed an under level Meg in tvhm before continuing the story for two full level ups on console it feels closer to 1% lol
By far my favourite Dahl gun is the Warlord in Borderlands 3. Not the most powerful out there, but a lot of fun to use, especially with Moze. As for the Pre-Sequel, I always look forward to picking-up the Fridgia.
Since we are only talking about Dahl weapons here, it should be mentioned that Hail is Vladof in BL2 and TPS, not Dahl like in BL3. Also the Major Tom being essentially the same, bar the weapon skin and name, as the Veruc, should give it an honorable mention as well. I mostly agree with this, but In my opinion Pitchfork should've absolutely been on this list. I'd place it as the third best sniper in both BL2 and TPS (maybe even second in TPS). Problem it has it competes with monsters like Lyuda, Pimpernel and the Machine, which are way easier to obtain, so it doesn't get the love it absolutely should. But among Dahl weapons it's definitely up there. I would personally replace the Hail with it and move the Hail to honorable mentions. The second one might be just me, but I absolutely love the ZX-1 laser in TPS. It's so much fun to use on Athena.
I don't have much of a problem with ammo regarding the BL3 Sandhawk. An ammo regen and being careful with the trigger seem to work. I don't use it much tho because of the slow projectile speed
I think another Honerable mention could have been the Penetrator from BL1. It basically is like a beta version of the BL2 Droog/Lyuda but I mean it's a full auto high fire rate Sniper, in BL1. It shreds everything basically lmao. Sniper Mordecai and Specter Lilith go nuts with it.
Even worse in my opinion was excluding the Bulldog shotgun! It's almost like BL1 wasn't actually included in the making of this list! The Bulldog has outrageously good stats across the board, massive killing power even against the raid boss of BL1, and is maybe the most versatile weapon in the original game

Zane can make himself immune to self inflicted damage using skill called Duct Tape Mod. This skill combined With Breath of the Dying is a blast at close range.
I really feel like the double anarchy should be on this list even though most people that play the borderline series have probably never touch number one if you have you know that it is the literal best weapon in the game for most heroes, even though it is only a purple or blue
6:36 only downside to this gun, enimies with invincibility stages should only be for story kills, then after that take out invincibility stages. CANNOT stand waiting 15 seconds for a kill that would take me 3. Wanted one for zayne and I farmed and farmed and on like run 30 I got a shock one 😂. Still, it absolutely shreds. I would have wanted a cryo one but whatever you get will work. Needs a boosted drop chance
sandhawk numba 1. its just so deadly on Zane in bl3. Clone absolutly shithouses raids with on element Sandhawk. That being said my personal favorite is BOTD. I was a big D2 nerd as a kid. Plus crazy damage output. And it makes doing scrap traps for xp to 72 easy. Soulrender is close second. Its often in my main hand

I was pretty sure which one you would pick as #1 and I was right. Maybe not the best Dahl but my favorite Dahl is the Kaoson, damn I love that gun. Torrent is great too but man can that thing eat ammo.
I for a while mained soulrender on moze. Idk if Infernal Wish plays a part in doubling the skulls, but with 150% weapon damage while cub is active, it becomes too strong.
Loved Dahl and its legendaries since BL1 even though they were kind of plain... used to obsessively farm for the Jackal pearlesecent even though it sucked
i think Lascaux probably should be at 10 because it just doesnt scale well after normal mode imo. I find the lack of element does hurt the weapon a bit and just doesnt make is impactful with the higher difficulties and resistances.
Id agree with most of this list except for the BotD. It activates its effect from revolter, but not the action skill end elemental damage annoint. If you use it with flak, you will deal billions of damage. Ive done instant kills on the seer with that thing, and all you need is a revolter with action skill start and a simple fade away build
Ever since I basically 2-Shot Hemivorous with the BotD as FL4K, I basically never unequipped it. (Until I got a really good Soulrender. I hope it returns in BL4)
When u placed sand hawk at no.2 and talked abt how it cld be no.1 i wondered n realised that no.1 has got to be soul render cus it’s just so strong with the 20x dmg skulls😂
DAHL went from my least favorite Manufacturer in BL2 to my favorite in BL3. DAHL weapons just feel so damn good in that game.

i absolutely adore the hornet in both bl2 and bl3, it helped carry me through digi peak on axton, and it's just a really fun weapon in bl3.
Yeah one of my best pistols in bl2 to deal with the bots the bul loader and pwr loader had to eat the splash damage no deflecting or blocking it

I love Dahl weapons in BL3. It’s one of the primary setups I use on my main Fl4k with a 50/50/50 Dahl Company Man. So many incredible options.

Proprietary License is a lot like the Night Hawkin BUT it combines effects from all manufacturers. It’s in the Bounty of Blood

the torrent is also one of the best sounding guns when you fire it, almost exactly sounds like a gau-18
IMO #1 should be the Kaos. Specifically artic kaos on zane. Zane's cryo damage plus cryo from the khaos PLUS cryo explosions on kill are just godlike

I have a 20 level under sandhawk rn and its still doing visible damage aggainst uvhm healthbars. When the bee is down ofcourse

Agreed. Aside from Sand Hawk or Hornet in BL2 I never cared for Dahl. The Soul Render and Kaoson are in my top 5 faves from all the games.

Funny as it is the Breath of the Dying is reference to an item of the same name in Diablo II which shot out poison novas on kills
6:36 only downside to this gun, enimies with invincibility stages should only be for story kills, then after that take out invincibility stages. CANNOT stand waiting 15 seconds for a kill that would take me 3. Wanted one for zayne and I farmed and farmed and on like run 30 I got a shock one 😂. Still, it absolutely shreds. I would have wanted a cryo one but whatever you get will work. Needs a boosted drop chance
sandhawk numba 1. its just so deadly on Zane in bl3. Clone absolutly shithouses raids with on element Sandhawk. That being said my personal favorite is BOTD. I was a big D2 nerd as a kid. Plus crazy damage output. And it makes doing scrap traps for xp to 72 easy. Soulrender is close second. Its often in my main hand

Love the Blood Starved Beast purely because it is a reference to the ONE game I like better than the borderlands franchise
I was pretty sure which one you would pick as #1 and I was right. Maybe not the best Dahl but my favorite Dahl is the Kaoson, damn I love that gun. Torrent is great too but man can that thing eat ammo.
Soulrender number 1 I called it and wasn’t disappointed!!
I for a while mained soulrender on moze. Idk if Infernal Wish plays a part in doubling the skulls, but with 150% weapon damage while cub is active, it becomes too strong.
Loved Dahl and its legendaries since BL1 even though they were kind of plain... used to obsessively farm for the Jackal pearlesecent even though it sucked
i think Lascaux probably should be at 10 because it just doesnt scale well after normal mode imo. I find the lack of element does hurt the weapon a bit and just doesnt make is impactful with the higher difficulties and resistances.

Id agree with most of this list except for the BotD. It activates its effect from revolter, but not the action skill end elemental damage annoint. If you use it with flak, you will deal billions of damage. Ive done instant kills on the seer with that thing, and all you need is a revolter with action skill start and a simple fade away build

i got a breath of the dying on a new character at level 14 and it carried me almost to level 30, the orb explosion carries so far

Ever since I basically 2-Shot Hemivorous with the BotD as FL4K, I basically never unequipped it. (Until I got a really good Soulrender. I hope it returns in BL4)

When u placed sand hawk at no.2 and talked abt how it cld be no.1 i wondered n realised that no.1 has got to be soul render cus it’s just so strong with the 20x dmg skulls😂
I don't know that its "the best," but the Kaoson is definitely my favorite Dahl weapon of all time!

You need to try the sandhawk in bl3 with the 300% ammo regen anointment as that basically turns it into an op infinity
