The Psychos ranting about Lieberman can also be seen as a reference to former U.S. Senator Joseph Lieberman, who was heavily involved with legislative hearings on violence in video games, and was considered the leading push behind the formation of the video game rating system in the 1990s. When the psychos are screaming that "Lieberman KNOWS!" it's being implied that the psycho feels that the violence in games helped turn him into a psycho.
I love that every single player Universally accepts that they got trolled by the buttons at konrad's hold. I actually saw the switch I was supposed to use, but tried to start the puzzle thinking if I got all lights green I would get a chest. 30 minutes later, you know where I end up
that zap on shock weapon!!!! ive seen that, i thought i was tripping when i saw that, i even tried couple more times and i only saw it clearly once lmao
kyb's worth is also a reference to destiny's vault of glass, it's design is similar to the guns from that raid, and its effect referencing the plates you need to stand on
I thought he said Fawn Liebowitz. She was an unseen character from Animal House. We only know that she was From Fort Wayne, Indiana; she was killed in a tragic kiln explosion.
i have almost 3k hours in destiny 2 but the only reference i knew was in bl3 was good juju (which i _thought_ might've been destiny related but wasn't 100% sure) and fortunately for you, that was the only(?) secret i knew about that you showed in this video, so you taught me a lot today!
Some that i have noticed, in the mission when you help the gamer skagg lord, you get a snoper called the 2 time. Reference to dr dissrespect? Lol Also in the kreigs mind dlc, there is a halway made to look like the matrix 1 scene with the pillars. One of the biggest for me is the mission completely dedicated to disaster movie, with the funny talking movie director.
Tiny Tina's Wonderlands has a reference to the book House of Leaves. I found out about it *months* after I wrote a House of Leaves-inspired Borderlands fanfiction.
This was good! I'm usually hesitant to click on videos like these because half the time they say stuff like "Everybody loves Pandora, but you MIGHT NOT KNOW that the name is actually an incredibly subtle and obscure reference to Greek mythology!" Or "Borderlands 3 has a hidden mechanic where you can not only carry guns in your hands, but actually use them to direct ammunition towards your enemies, inflicting varying amounts of damage if they make contact!" Either that or they'll draw wild conclusions from their personal bias, like claiming that Typhon's two bots are a reference to Jessie and James from the Pokemon anime, or else the facts will be incredibly boring. However, I actually DIDN'T know a lot of these, the research looks to have actually been pretty rigorous, and the facts were actually interesting. 😄
Most of these I had no idea about! The only ones I knew were the rollercoaster (I took the time to 100% this game), the serpent one and the S&S one. I was looking for something in Eden-6 and just so happened to hear that in the radio, it's such a cool easter egg. Also I miss S&S, their legendaries were amazing. I'll probably never see the Moze watch one as I play on Switch, so the resolution and textures are obviously of lower quality. (Also I've only ever played as FL4K) Anyway, what's that Cryo pistol you're using in your gameplay? I play Gamma Burst FL4K as well and it seems to be pretty effective on them.
I did the exact same thing in Konrads hold I thought it had something to do with the main quest and then when i did the angel side quest I thought the same thing
Even better is that the Good Juju's effects are almost 1 to 1 on what the Bad Juju does in Destiny (extra damage and faster cooldown on kill). I don't recall if the Moonfire functions just like the Hawkmoon where some shots randomly do a lot more damage (or the last shot in the mag does more damage depending on how many crits you hit).
I don't know if they made a statement about this, but at the end of the mission where GenVi captures Sanctuary, Balex imprisons her in a memory card. We then give this memory card to Marcus. Normally, after this point, Marcus should turn this memory card into a Messy Breakup shield and give it to our character as a reward, but this does not happen. You must have noticed that the voice of the Messy Breakup shield is actually the voice of GenVi.
I don't think that was ever the intended way to get the shield. However, it was originally in GenIVIV's loot pool. But when gearbox moved things around the took it out of her pool and put it in Rax's for some reason
@lanceelamparo7593 I never considered a lower resolution would cause it to be illegible. Plus half the weapons won't show it, depending on how Moze holds it
I think this is actually just an internet rumor. As the only evidence to ever support that was from 5 years ago on 1 single reddit post. Nobody else has ever been able to replicate this. I did originally have this in my video script, but after tirelessly dealing 69 damage to a bunch of enemies in the game, there was 0 chuckles

Did you know that the photograph inside of Iron Bear is actually the two artists who designed and built the mech hanging with Moze?
I've never heard of that before, that's cool!

In the area that you're granted access to after completing the main mission of Bounty of Blood there is a message about Covid on the wall
Most of these I did not know. Good research man
I knew some of these before starting this video, but it's crazy just how many easter eggs they packed into this game
Very well done video! Didn't know half of these

Nyuk nyuk.

awsome video man

In bl3, if you do 69 damage, sometimes your character will do a little chuckle it's hard to notice sometimes too.
Change the title from secrets to Easter eggs, and you might do better.
I know everything on this vid.
Borderlands was never about being funny
The Lieberman one could also be an offhand reference to Half-Life. If I'm not mistaken, "Lieberman" is Latin for "Freeman" as in Gordon Freeman.
