This solution is the only one of a dozen that worked for me! Only hiccup was, I accidentally fat fingered the UDP port number (2238) in GridTracker set up. Symptom was that LOG4OM was not populating when I started Tx. However, once I corrected my error, LOG4OM came alive. Yay! Thank you so much!

I found the solution to my issue: In advanced sound options, Windows let’s you control individual App’s volume. I simply turned the sound off for the GridTracker App, again, in Windows. No more “talking” while transmitting in FT8! Yay!
"Wanted Call, Wanted Grid" is the garbled audio that I'm hearing when FT8 Tx starts. FYI this "talking" comes through my computer speakers, not the FT DX10 audio out. Whenever I hear these words, my Tx power is folding back. That being said, when I first got my FT DX10, these spoken words were very clear and clean and only occurred during Decoding. Which obviously did not affect the Tx Power. If only I could get back to that setting! ??

Liked this video and got my set up working first time. I had recently set up two instances of wsjtx for 2 rigs. Followed your advice about keeping both upd set ups the same. Both now logging to log4om. But then saw your video on two instances where they used a multi road cast set up. Please can you clarify the different reporting set ups? Regards Bill from UK.

Well, it now seems there's some kind of conflict.... because if GT is up and running, my FT8 Tx power folds back initially, and I hear muffled talking during the fold-back. It lasts for several seconds then goes up to full power. Closing the GT program is the only fix that I can find. Help!
I hope that you will answer me on this Question. In WSJTX the server ports numbering is turned around could that cause a problem? Good video and explanations. I also have FLrig to work, control, my Xiegu G90 radio. Leon ZS3LB 73 Sorry could you also add your new Video shortcut, TY

Isn't there another setting in LOG4OM for WSJTX..?? Settings > Program Configuration > Software Integration > Applications > WSJTx there is a [X] tick box for "Import QSO from JT Message #12" Should this be [/] ticked

The sound was a bit on the quiet side, I was struggling to follow what was going on.
