The, Masters custom’s are the only factory bearing edges, That are spot on . I’ve had all of them, Yamaha, etc. I’v been playing modern drum shop drums four years ! Joe Casados, / Willie , makes the best drums in the world !! All the cat who are factory endorsed, get their bearing edges re-cut by MDS ( modern drum shop ) . A lot of people sleep, on the 20 inch kick. But y’all need to know that it’s the perfect size!! Great for live and tracking .

The walls can be non parallel by just a little to make a huge difference . I built studios in the SFBay area and we would make the out of parallel by an inch or two from end to end. That’s all you need. We needed less treatment, and the live room still sounded alive instead of dead and lifeless but very even.
Did I come for the studio tour or did I come for the intro solo that I may or most definitely will be sampling
the all white wall rooms with gray panels and cold lights are getting out of hand.

in case anyone was listening at @24:05, the Pultec EQP-1S3 is not a solid state EQ, it is a tube EQ that uses 1 ea: 12AU7, 12AX7, 6X4. It has different low-frequency boost/atten response curves and additional/different frequency bands.
Hey! My Pultec is actually an EQP-1S3-SS solid state version. The plate doesn’t have the additional SS labeling on it
EQP-1S3 & EQP-1S3-SS have the same name in the front panel. at least according to the website.

I’ve been with MOTU since audio desk 2.0 it’s been my go to tracking DAW, I recently graduated to mixing in LUNA, but yeah DP has been great!

That’s great. I would love to have some of that equipment, but Stephan, the puppet guy does his mixes with plug-ins only and I dare anyone to say they can produce something better than what that guy does. But that is an awesome studio, undoubtedly.

Don’t do it! Buy a 4TB NVME drive, and the Acasis 40Gbps enclosure. Much Faster than any off the shelf 4TB external drive, and under $400.
