Smash the like button if you find the missing lut… 😅
You really should check out classic recording studio in Bristol Va. They are Grammy nominated and have a pretty cool place....
Keep up the content. Every time I watch i just get extremely jealous because i can't afford any of the shit i need hahaha
I would love to have a loft myself just for band practice and recording
My nightmare. Always watch stuff in full before you send it out dude!
I found it on Logan's OnlyFans.
The night scenery with the downtown vibes out the window has me rethinking everything lol. Logan nailed it
Yea, I'm super envious of that view. My sister had an apartment with a view like that and I wished every day I could get that apartment
I would’ve put my console and DAW on the wall side and left that window area relatively open with maybe a couch and end table . . I would know whether to look out the window or concentrate on the monitor and mix lol . But a nice room for sure 😊
MORE STUDIO TOURS....THAT'S WHY I'M HERE
ChungKing, Mid Town East, Manhattan, NYC. Famous studio started in the 80's. Lauren Hill, Amy Winehouse, Beastie Boys, Gaga. All the NYC artists. It was weird, slightly dirty and amazing. Another great studio tour! Thanks.
Nice Studio and excellent View.
This is such a great tour for so many reasons! First the room is amazing and the view! I frequent the artistic shops at Marathon as well. Secondly, I love Logan's attitude and outlook on everything! 13:10 is extremely encouraging. The Successor rocks as well!
WOW! I absolutely love the vibe of this studio. Oh, and I'll expect a cup of that Nettle Tea when I'm there this weekend... but FIRST COFFEE! LOL
haha thanks Laney!
I love the loft style! Brick walls with that view! so inspiring!
Love the studio tours. Didn't know there are that many studios in Nashville. But it makes sense.
I love tours, too! And yeah, there are literally *thousands* of studios here in Nashville. Of course major historic studios but also many many many killer home studios (which can also be insane and turn out amazing tunes)
This is such a vibe seeing this place with this location, damn
That room is a Vibe in itself. The question is that a Border Collie on his Screen? Thanks again Andrew for inspiring folks.
What a wonderful journey You've taken us through your Studio both of you guys are just Knowledgeable in the world of Audio Engineering. Thanks to Andrew Masters.
Great video. Awesome location. He has a great last name I don’t meet many Wall’s here in town. Happy to know there’s more of us.
I just looked up "Marathon Motor Works" - interesting story by itself. Seems that these buildings (or parts of them) were a cotton mill complex before the car production moved in and stayed until 1914.
M1's from Chicago. One time when I was an assistant, John Hardy dropped off 32 channels of M1's for a session. Love Hardys!
Yay for tea! I switched a few yeas ago... the acidity and jitters caught up with me; bubble guts.... I now drink yerba mate exclusively. 👍🏻
Super cool room. The EQs on that PM2000 are fun to work with and so is the bus matrix section.
Always loving what you do for us bro. Thank you so much. Your programs motivates, inspires me to work extra hard and never to give up. Thank you so much
Amazing vibe!!!
Nice studio Tour.
Oh man... that's a Yamaha PM noise generator. But an amazing fabulous space! Amazing.
That studio has a nice relaxing vibe.
Good to hear you switched to tea ✨
You forgot to touch the keys?!? 🤯🤯🤯
I blame the tea! 🤭
Awesome video and great studio tour! 👍🏻👏🏻🍻🍻🙋🏼♂️
Damnit! Thanks!
I eally emjoyed this video. Thanks and respect to both of you.
After decades, finally another studiotour!! 🤩🤩
Such a beautiful studio. I love all the ambiance and atmosphere. It's a vibe. Very Nashville looking. Wonder if he went to Full Sail? I went there as well from 2008-2009 but everything has changed since then lol Alot of money I think wasted for sure maybe for an experience but yeah... Great studio.
Maybe its an age thing...just started chilling on the coffee and drinking more tea myself
I just got bought a Yamaha pm2000, exciting to see someone using one ❤
PSI ! :)
Amazing video, love everything about this studio, so inspiring. Thank you!
awesome video!! I would love to know more about that Yamaha PM2000 console
A great view and great studio 👍
Thanks Andrew, keep up the great content. From S.A.
missing custom lut ⚠
Looking great!
Andrew great video! Thanks!
Am derick magic from Uganda Kampala it wud be nice to visit that studio and Kali audio I love that monitor...
Nice space
neat space
I have the same fender champ amplifier
Hey Andrew, Really enjoy your studio tours! Thank you for the effort you put in and your knowledgeable questions and comments. Every time you're in a studio I wish I could hear the studio! Even though the actual sound of the studio won't really translate, it still is frustrating not to hear something. I would appreciate you considering running something through their systems. I personally have a $6000 Grace Brothers D/A converter and Neumann KH310A speakers so I possibly would be able to hear some of the subtle differences. Maybe others would be able as well. Since we're all about sound it would be cool to hear a short sample of each studios sound. Just some thoughts. Thanks again for your work brother!
so much good content i had to L&S !
Andrew thanks for your channel we see these studios but could you perhaps include small clips of their recordings...Also could you chat with some of them and ask what they think of digital recording example Avantis vs Neve
Yeah that would be great, these videos take about 4 hours just to film in this format - doing a recording session, getting examples and filming that is often just hard to schedule for the guest, me and my assistant. We do literally all of it for free and the guests volunteer their time. Also not all of the guests are musicians. But I agree that would be a cool addition.
no city/car sound leak going through that beautiful window?
That view! Worth the reflections. Does he keep those curtains closed for mixing?
One would imagine so, but of his 35ish total credits on AllMusic only 4 or 5 of them are for mixing. Almost every credit is for composition.
Another beutiful studio and space in general. I have a question. In all these high level studios-music rooms don’t you find that the sound from the monitor speakers resonate the nearby guitars or other instruments with resonating bodies? In my humble experience, it does. Don’t you find it disturbing? I love the channel 🙋🏼♂️
And we’re back! 😎😎
Sometimes it surprises me to see the ambivalence to room treatment that is seen in so many of these studio tours. I know there’s a cloud way up there, and something on the back and right wall, but a full window in front and full brick wall on the left makes me wonder. Much asymmetry. I guess it’s probably not a final mix room, so maybe it’s not so important? That’s not meant as criticism, I just find it curious and makes me wonder if I’m overthinking it…
You are not overthinking it, honestly it boggles my mind you people can make "accurate" eq decisions in such a bad room.
I don’t understand How he is using his consol, does he have some In In protool or juste the stereo out of his consol ? Best regards from France ! Thanks for your work
Sooooogorgeousss
Hello Andrew.
Excuse my english, I'm french.
My question has nothing to do with your video. Sorry.
I am testing some room mics placement for my drums room, and I'm wandering if I should use the cardio or the omni...?
studio is dope but my mans Ostrich boots are nasty
Man I like his taste. That PM2000 looks sexy as ****. If he didn't have the direct out mod he should. It is worth it.
Andrew you need to toss the tea bags and get the lose leaf tea and brew it like you would coffee but don't use a paper filter....i started drinking tea years ago because I was drinking toooo much coffee. I now have my morning 1 cup of coffee then drink green tea throughout the day....and one more thing can I enter for the monitors even though I live in the Philippines now? I'll pay for the shipping,if I win
34:00 can anyone share what that box is?
Also would have loved to have heard what the Tone Hammer in line from a mic on an amp sounds like!
That box is the 'actuator' for the Wurlitzer's sustain pedal. There is absolutely nothing to it though. You can literally make one from a plastic "string-winder" drill bit and connect it to a generic pull-pedal. Don't know why this dude says his dad had to "re-engineer" it LOL ... plus, you can buy replacements on reverb for like $50 to $75. The original pedals are hard to find though. They've mostly rusted or fallen apart by now.
Anyone know which sidecars those are?
quite a few missing scenes - the audio is there so you barely notice it but figured i would point it out
Noticed that you only visit studios with UA Apollo as interfaces. Are you supported by UA by any ways? All EPIC series episodes only have studios with Apollos.
lol that’s a cool theory. I occasionally do sponsored videos for UA products but they’re sponsored by sweetwater. I just go to studios and I find out what they have when I get there. Also I have an apogee symphony mkii as my studio interface.
@@AndrewMasters So it seems like the Apollos are the new standard, I'm impressed with the hegemony. Thanks for replying.
My songwriting process starts with drums so probably would have to skip that studio set up even though it’s super cozy.
Its cool but lofts are really noisy and he has no acoustic treatment on side walls? Must sound super boomy with the amps turned up loud
The moment I saw that fcpx error I went straight to the comments just to find it already adressed. Well atleast youtube will like my comment?
firsty
Tea? What's going on?
Yeah bro - I still drink a cup or two of coffee when I wake up, but I had to dial it way back. Started to become a little too dependent on it! Haha
I think its pronounced Tineel
We’re actually very nice people in New Jersey 🙃 kinda…
uno
I'm glad you didn't force this gentleman to hold a stupid mug. That's become disgusting, buddy.
Hahaha yeah, I noticed it too and felt revived.
