I've been building my home studio for about a year and half and about 3 weeks to completion....you sharing the home studio family ecosystem has been priceless and inspiring, thanks bro.
The way he explained how the console was helpful to him is awesome.
I love how he wasn’t trying to be a knowitall and talks about learning different setups and the process.. I’m sure a bunch of us can relate to that.. I love that.
Finally a Wunder Console- Love their stuff. That Helios vibe is just unmatched.
That's gotta be one of the most gorgeous live rooms.
The tone button on the WA-412 is pure analog magic!
As soon as I saw the Wunderbar, I knew this guy has great taste. Amazing.
Nickolas seems like such an easy, cool guy to chat with. Great tour and great space!
Together Me and Nick, that Guitar Riffing Nerdy Muthrfukr Expert 👈😎🚬 and I were long hair THRASH GUITAR Playin Clinic Driven Maniacs 🤘🤪🤘 starting in 89' through 93' and then my Dad moved us out of the state in 94' my Junior year. And I should have kept in touch but literally haven't talked, seen, or communicated with him since.
Moved from Colorado waaaay down South to AlIurbamurr and that's where met him in 88' couple years before I started going to his school, same age, same grade, same lust for Fast Aggressive Guitar Playing. 5 scruffy friends total in our little guitar clinic. I call it a clinic cause there was no Hey Dudes let's form up a band and do gigs. It' was strictly showing off and how far a guitar could be taken and none of us sang, or fucked with acoustics, or bass, and wasn't even a Thrash Drummer back then anywhere out of All the drummers in that town of 200,000 thousand people.
NICK WHEELER was a Freak of Nature Born with an Electric Guitar stuck to him like a Siamese Twin and out of my 33 years of playing, watching, listening, to players...HE IS/WAS the Best I'd ever seen with the whole game till this Day Hand To God 🖐️on that, A True Blue Rounded Expert along with Putting in tha Work and then Backed That Up in your EFFEN Face Everytime and fun as Hell to watch.
This studio is incredible; it's very well designed and built! Nick, man oh man did I grow up loving your music. Thanks for giving everyone a tour of your space :)
Hi there Brother ✋😁... You wanna know how I got turned on to Nick Wheeler's guitar playin ? From being in the same room everyday together ! ✋😂👉Hand to God Dude 🙏 from 89' through Nineteen93' Me and that Nerdy Muthrfukr were running a long hair THRASH GUITAR Playin Clinic for Maniacs🤘🤪🤘 5 of us in total with 3 other Scruffy Friends of ours. Didn't give 2 Fuks about band forming at All at the time. It was Just seeing how far and fast an Electric Guitar could be taken with technique. My Dad moved us out of Colorado down waaaay South to Nick's hometown where he grew up...And BAMM ! Then That Ole FATE Thing Ya Know that Happens but can't see it till later in life reflecting on the coincidences and happenstances were in Full Affect ✨🌠✨ same age, same grade, same school in Tuscaloosa, Ala-Fukin-Bama from 90' to 93' but met him around 88'. I had not started playin yet but already Nick... at EFFEN 12 years old👈😳 WUZZA Freak uh Gott Damm Nature Born by Lightning hitting the Top of a Mountain as a Shaman was praying over his Guitar Playin/Learnin Curve/and Memory for ALL of it...for Days Man. By 14 Could set out to learn a lead solo from any song, any length, any style and have it locked up in his Brain in 45 minutes and rolling through it clean, like 98% No missed strings, No Muffled Strings, No strings ringing out that shouldn't, No Hiccups starting over the riff right before the place you usually left off. The Stuff that All guitarists are not Totally
Immune to or from well Nick None of that SHIT for hours and hours and hours before maybe a little mistaken insignificant 1 note not picked super clear and that's about IT ! 🍺😎🚬💨 Hit me Back if ya interested in some Cool as Hell, and Hilarious Stories that are 100% True ! My name is Russ Wade, bout to be 48 in age, and I have never told social media the inside stories about the fun and bad assness of Nick's early days nobody else knows. I'm talking exclusive interesting details, I NEVER told the shit except by mouth a couple of times over 33 year period with no posts internet till now, because I NEVER have had an account with Myspace Facebook Twitter Messenger Instagram Tik-Tok Farmers Only Dot Com 👈😂 or nothing to do with any dating Apps/Web Sites period. of Social Media That's got to be a Record somewhere, You Tube comments is as far as I ever taken it with social media communication or posting. And I don't count the eBay messages I've done for buying and selling, that's business Sooo.
Totally awesome! Love the exemplary quality and ingenious sound diffusion use of the natural materials used on the inside, and the hidden cabs. I look forward to seeing project construction photos. Great job!
Beautiful studio. Great interview. Thank you both for taking the time to make this awesome video!
now this 1 im excited for bcoz TAAR was one of those bands i loved growing up, his setup is so cool
I started building my studio when I moved into my new house about 2 months ago. Videos like this keep me motivated to finish it!
I absolutely love the stone and wood paneled walls. You don’t see a lot of that in studios today
Andrew, you've created one of the coolest gear nerd channels on UA-cam!
I’ve been there! Glad you made it over to tour!
Saaweeet Home Studio

"To me, the smell of a studio is coffee... and Nag Champa." I thought he was gonna say something else. But I guess that's what the Nag Champa is for. 😂
Fellow OK brethren! 😊

I went to an alternative school in Stillwater, Oklahoma called Lincoln Academy I’m sure he’s familiar with it. The lunch lady there said she was the mother of one of the members of All American Rejects, I kind of shrugged it off and never really believed her… All these years later she’s finally validated and she was telling the truth lol life‘s crazy!
you've. had several small scale studios like this one and I would love to see a drawing of the floor plans of these smaller studios. I think you had one 540 soft or so and now this one 700 something. Seeing the above floor plan would give me ideas of what I could get out of my space. thanks for sharing these.
Hahaha so much cursing 🤣 needs a parent advisory sticker. Loved the studio
amazing video as always andrew! great rec on the Mojaves! we have a pair of MA 37s at the studio i assist at, they sound phenomenal on everything i can think of that we've tried em on so far :D
I love this guy! How many times has he dropped the F 💣 😅😂
My Sweetwater rep calls me up after every new Masters vid now: "Hey Mike, did you see the latest Andrew Masters vid? See anything you like? Can I place an order for you
Hahahaha that is so wrong and so right at the same time 🤣🤣🤣🤣
He shouted out Cakewalk. I feel old, too!
Glad to know. Audio/Stage Manager, John Mabry Curly's Downtown when U were starting out pro.
Very nice! Do you know if/can you find out if that's real stone or faux on the tracking room walls? I'm about to build mine (north of Nashville) 720 sq ft in the woods with lots of windows for the view and our main house has that exact style of stone outside so I'm curious. Thanx Andrew!
that whole " I do plan on dying in this room" hit me pretty hard since my best friend and co guitarist was found dead in his studio. I wonder if that is how I'll go. I hope not, I'd rather be with my family
Love AAR. Love this studio tour. Thanks for this ❤️❤️❤️
Music is my passion and more than anything in the world I want to be a music producer or sound engineer but I'm 42 and at my age I have no idea where I should start.
We didn’t get a good look inside the iso booth. Do we know what kind of cab he has all the amplifier heads running into?
What was that Lynn drum alternative he has called?
If this is a home studio my studio might as well be a closet studio
Yeah for real. ‘Home Studio’ doesn’t mean what it used to.
What is a 412? Yawl use a lot of terms I am unfamiliar with. I guess the studio world has its own language. 😊
What stereo bar is the one with the mojave?
AEA. It's the bar that comes with the N8 stereo kit.
@@AndrewMasters thanks
Was Andrew born in a tent?? seems most videos he leaves the door open behind him upon entry
Born in a river

You guys look like a couple of Lumberghs with the coffee mugs.
Not a matched pair? Why wouldn't you get someone to align them? It wouldn't cost you even a quarter of their msrp of one of those.
Whats with all the studio owners walking around with empty coffee cups?!
did anyone count the audio cuts?
"studios should smell of coffee and nonchoppa??????" WTF is nonchoppa
I think its Nug Chopper like a pg version of weed grinder. haha
It’s nag champa which are those traditional incense sticks in the blue box.
The dog in the couch is Fender
I hope you get rich...

Love these Andrew, but for the love of god, make more eye contact with the person you are interviewing. Looks hella akward sometimes. Keep em coming tho, big fan of the series!!!!
I'll never stop being awkward.
Pretty unprofessional with all the cussing.
Move out of the entry for God’s sake!!
Amen
Studio smell for me is weed
I think that's what he meant by nug chopper ak weed grinder. If I am mot mistaken.
