I worked for Honda for 28 years, so I have to say.... you put the engine in sideways. That's the RWD way. You wouldn't believe how much confusion that causes with elderly American men looking for an engine part. They insist on their old school definition of how an engine is supposed to sit in a vehicle. 50% of the time they will tell you "they put the engines in these sideways". There's a whole left/right, front/back dialog that adds an extra couple of minutes to the conversation. I've been telling some of my old co-workers about Beam NG and Automation. This was the perfect example. Thank you! I'm not sure at my age if I've got the patience or the intellect to have as much fun as you do, but I'm seriously thinking about it. Especially after seeing that Meyers manx body.
Think something with that much power should not have a 5 or 6speed gearbox as you will just be smoking tires in 4th but more like a 3 or 2 speed even like real drag cars have ...should work a lot better
Top fuel cars have more than 3 gears, in 4,3, and 2 speed transmissions top gear is 1:1 more gears just means more ratios to choose from 5 and 6 speeds usually have over drive gears

Just found your channel. Right up my alley when I saw the Honda CRX reference. I owned an 89' CRX. My first car. Now you have me looking up Automation. What a fantastic application. I'm an automotive nut as well. Diecast cars, scale models, RCs, sim racing, tinkering/modding my '03 Subaru Forester, the whole deal. I need to get both Automation and Beam.NG as well. You have a new fan.

the tires being as meaty as they are, is probably one of the many reasons why it kept exploding. The higher rotational mass was maybe tearing them apart because of your high rpms. Even though this might hurt grip and top speed maybe going for super skinny side walls might help idk. Cool build tho! xD

I’ve been avoiding your channel for the last month cus my computer stopped working and you make me wanna play automation😂 I had beamNG open for about 18 hours while I was gone, so my computer was a little slow when I got home so I restarted it, but once it tried to turn back on the screen lit up but stayed black, then after about half an hour of waiting it finally popped up the logo, but then it just turned off and tried to turn back on and when it did, it tried to do the same thing as before except the logo popped up quicker, but it continued to do that for however long I left it in the boot cycle, I don’t remember exactly, I just left it and went to hang out with my friends and it was still doing it when I got home, it’s a Lenovo legion Y540, and I can’t find anybody else with the same problem, some people have said they go to turn it on but the screen won’t come on at all, but mine does it just doesn’t boot, I think my hard drive might be corrupt, but idk
You know, your power button may be stuck in and maybe that's what causing it to stay in a boot loop. Try pressing the power button a few times and clean it. Or, your laptop may have got permanent heat damage due to you leaving it on for 18 hours with beamng running. 🤦♂️
@@darkomatic_9975 😂 I tried again today and was actually able to load into the bios, but it still won’t boot, so imma assume the second option💀
when ur rolling into it and trying to be easy on it, maybe you should shift much lower in the rpms. going half throttle doesnt actually go any easier on it if your still at the same rpms
