I’m a big fan of grandpa vlogger . First time I’ve left a comment, but I watch your show every time.. I do think the corruption is so deep and so embedded that it’s gonna take generations to see it go away no matter who the president is. I think you have a lot of energy. Maybe you can still come in as that troubleshooter and get it done.
Sometimes one can be too conscious for their own good. Might not win all the races, but you are still my favorite horse! Learning alot from you on varied subjects.
Decades are not enough to see a change in the mindset of the Filipinos. It will take several generations and enlightenment to see the wasted opportunities and change course. Hope is eternal. Wishing you success in your goals. Keep on vloggin’!
I appreciate your desire to contribute your service sa ating bayan. Gayunman naisip ko you can best contribute sa continuation ng vlogging mo. Mabuhay kayo! Mabuhay ang Pilipinas!
Good that your letter was ignored or whatever, perhaps it was meant to be, I myself was so thankful that you didn’t get involved in the Duterte Admin. It’s a big big mess and a big big corruption in the history of the Philippines just like Marcos Sr. God bless you, Sir! I know you’re a good, talented and honest man. May the Lord lead you to the right path where you can still help our country the way you want ( I have no idea) but anyway, Thank you! I am one of your subscribers who admire your wisdom and honest advices. Salamat po!
Let's just say you dodge a bullet @vloggergrandpa. I also do know someone and now I prefer to keep a low key and not to get involved. Politics is a dirty game. I know you have good intentions but let's just enjoy our life in peace. God bless
Strong leadership by example is one of the keys to fighting corruption. Noynoy Aquino seemed to be on the right path but maybe 6 years of presidency may not be enough to fight corruption that is so ingrained in Philippine politics. The "lagayan" system starts from the lowliest Barangay councilman up to the mayors, congressmen and governors. Of course there could be some exceptions but we don't hear about it.
Vlogger Grampa Hi! That was funny but ironic of your noble offer of service when somebody from the current admin offered his/her “insider connections” is already an act of “corruption” isn’t? Grampa -I would say just leave them alone, not in our lifetime would we see the real or ideal change in their ways as it is part of their bloodlines, culture and mores. Yes, the word ‘PARE or ‘MARE or “bossing” alone, underlies some sense of corruption already, know what I mean? Meaning everyone is interconnected, meaning everything could be had in “PAKIUSAP” (in the deeper meaning of that word) that’s the Pinoy way. Btw, former DFA Foreign Service Staff, I was -until I left my swivel chair for a blue collar job in Tokyo decades back. ***No regrets on that decision as my wife and I are now happily doing our FREE global travel in our sun setting lives. Moreover, i risked my life answering the call of Ms June Keithly, we peacefully took over Channel 4 and done a defensive position. Looking back with a grin, i tell myself hmp that was so SILLY of me.
True. Actually, someone suggested that I should charge for information I'm giving re dual citizenship, etc. I said no. The fact that I'm helping others and being appreciated by some is my compensation. Someone had a negative comment saying that my ego is the primary reason I'm offering help. It's unfortunate that we have people like that. And, they are the reason our country will never have progress.
Greetings Vlogger Grandpa. At least you tried. But, I learned long ago in the military. Never volunteer, the job might be too much for you to handle. And dealing with the government, any government. Well let's just say, it's a good thing you didn't get picked up. High Blood pressure and other assorted aliments are not good for the body or mind. Love the videos and have fun back home in the Philippines.
It is going to take a major paradigm shift to change the culture of corruption in the Philippines. I am glad you did not get involved in that. Just enjoy the beauty of the Philippines and the people, they are still the most friendly faces in the world.
Don’t get involved in Philippines corruption issues, no matter who’s the president and what country, corruption is always involved..it’s in the system itself..enjoy your retirement grand pa
If the government dont want it fixed they wont fix it. That is a norm here in the Philippines. Why fix it??? They like how things are being ran here. There is MANY, MANY things that need to be fixed here but no one will fix the problems 😅😅😅just sayin!!
As a Davaoeño, I'd like to comment on your preface about Duterte and the perceived discipline of the people of Davao during his time as Mayor. It's important to consider that his leadership instilled fear in the hearts of the Davaoeños. There were reports of alleged drug pushers and addicts being killed by the infamous DDS squad, with little regard for due process of law. These actions were well-documented by the Human Rights Commission, headed by Atty. Leila de Lima at that time. When Duterte became president, he continued to use similar methods, and the consequences are now a part of history. He is currently being investigated by the ICC for crimes against humanity.
In my previous work in industry, I could fairly quickly detect issues that were not previously known to management using non-traditional and less-known techniques. However, it is extremely important that I have the support of the top executive officer...in that, case the CEO. However, in the case of the Philippine government, I found out (after the fact) that I would have not gotten that support. I'm glad I did not get involved for I would have just failed.
Detection method= Hula 😂😂😂 Just kidding! On a serious note, don't you think it's a bit naive to think you would be given unconditional and top-level support so you could have free access to the Philippines's sensitive materials under the guise of rooting out corruption? Would you trust some guy to have free access to your and your kids' finances, including all your passwords just because he said he wants to help make sure your finances are healthy and secure? You sound like an intelligent person and i suspect your heart is in the right place. But, even is your offer is sincere and you really can deliver what you say, don't you know that corruption has been going on in the Philippines for decades because it's by design? Sure, some people may start out wanting to change the system to do good for the common man. But, they see their colleagues living high off the hog, traveling the world, buying beach front properties faster than their housemaids can clean them, while the good guys diligently watch every penny that leaves their back account. Eventually, they get demoralized, and they tell themselves they'll give more money to the churches to help the poor. Job done!
I’ve never been comfortable traveling back in the Philippines until Duterte is running the country. If you listen to every speech he had, you will know him better and how true he is to himself , No BS or drama and those old pa masa masa and all the politics $hxxt. Doesn’t care what other countries or religious institutions say, he will say what he wants to say.he does what he thinks whats good for the country. I respect your opinion, but if I were you, just avoid talking politics on your vlogs .
In reality, Sir if you have the credentials you do not offer your services, they request it. Your desire to help seems to be driven more for personal ego versus actually wanting to help the country
Your offer was unsolicited so it did not fit the governments agenda. Or maybe it did not sound credible. So I suggest that u just enjoy retirement life and if u really want to help, start small. Maybe start helping within your immediate neighborhood. Just my 2 cents😅
About the drug killing, since your in the US you never experienced what we experienced because of drugs BEFORE xPRRD. My Dad bought guns because of this.
I don't mean to be rude or Disrespectful but SIR you are living in America not in the Philippines you don't know what goes on here I am sorry if I hurt your feelings didn't mean to

They will not entertain you because you cannot offer anything. They want a corrupt individual who can go along with them. Isaiah 56:11
Great offer. I feel so many philippine Americans don't care about the homeland.

Hi Vlogger Grandpa. I watch your videos from time to time. I just wanted to say hello. I like your video. It is interesting.

Did you really expect a response? Do you know how many so called 'trouble shooters' write to the office thinking they can fix the country? 😂
