I used to get very bad vertigo only at work. Usually always around the same time. It scared me so bad, it triggered major anxiety and panic attacks I thought I had something seriously wrong with me or I was dying. Come to find out, I used to stick my ear plugs to far into my ears and it gave me bad vertigo. Ever since I stopped putting the earplugs so far in it completely stopped. Thank God!
Oh shot I do that’s Bf I have bad vertigo.... I also wear headphones all day........... I should really stop because idk if I have vertigo but whatever it is is really fucking scary
It’s nothing to F with, vertigo is very horrible to have it can be crippling to your quality of life, I have it every so often it happens then goes away for years and comes back.
I got my ears checked and cleaned and tested and we found out that that’s not causing me vertigo.... now I’m worried cause my vertigo also does give me anxiety I feel like ima pass out . Especially in the subway station
I am a very light sleeper. I can't stand sound or light. I need complete darkness and quiet otherwise I can't sleep. So, I've been using earplugs for over a decade
These comments are so comforting. It really is the worst and for those who have never experienced it don’t understand. I’ve had it for almost 2 weeks now, it’s so scary.
reading these comments is so scary right now. i’m having the worst vertigo attack that i have had yet, and i’m worried its going to last me days or weeks now. was this two week spell of yours constant? or did it eb and flow throughout the days??
Dec 3, 2010 as I was walking into my high school just seconds after getting off the bus I suddenly got dizzy. I then collapsed hitting my head center on the concrete floor. I’ve had memory problems and a history of seizures ever since. It’s crazy how your life can change so suddenly.
I’m sorry. My situation is exactly like yours. I fell and hit my head and have had seizures ever since. And I’ve had vertigo several times and it was extreme scary for me. I’m having a little memory problems right now as well. How’s your epilepsy going right now?
When I was 13 I was outside in the school hallway and had Vertigo but luckily I instinctively sat down before I could fall and eventually found out I had a high fever which I’m assuming is the cause and only recently found out it was Vertigo.
First time I experienced vertigo, it scared me so much. It came on suddenly. Luckily I was at home so I could immediately lay down. The whole room was spinning fast and I felt like I was going to throw up and pass out. It's one of the worst things to experience.
That is so true I was frightened did not what it was or what to do I thought I was going to die I started to pray o God I don't to die yet 😊it a while to stop that was yr ago and now it happen last night I can even lie down don't no how long it be befor it go
Agreed. I was so scared the first time. Now i am 36, and get it every 2 years or so. Now when it comes im just like... dangit. There goes 2 weeks of productivity. haha
I feel like today...first time. Only came here cuz my bf mentioned and I never heard of it. Still not sure and really don't want to get out if bed after several attempts getting out of bed
I’ve only experienced it twice in my life and it’s scary as hell. The abrupt out of nowhere tilting of the world, the swirling vision, heartbeat in your ears, unable to move your body correctly, the headache.. my god, I can’t even imagine those who have to endure that terror frequently-
I had an episode so violent that I thought I might be having a stroke. I went from feeling mildly “off kilter” to be so sick I couldn’t deal with any level of light stimulus without throwing up. I’ve never felt that miserable in my life. I ended up being hospitalized for 3 days due to it. It took almost 6 weeks for me to fully recover. I had after effects of feeling almost drunk and still having balance issues. This stuff is no joke.
I feel like this is what Im going thru right now. Im no longer feeling off balance but things I look at and when I'm walking sorta scares me. I cant really explain it but I feel startled but what I see when I'm walking or should I say an overwhelming feeling comes over me.
how did you sleep? every time I closed my eyes my head started spinning faster and faster and I would have to open my eyes. I got scared and went to the ER. BP was high and the room was spinning. the doctors dropped my BP and gave me a pill for dizziness and diagnosed me with vertigo. I felt so much better afterwards. The last time I felt like that was 33 years ago from 2 long island teas. There was no alcohol involved this time. There was no covid scare but had to wear a mask in the ER. To my surprise, the ER was quite and virtually empty.

That’s how it all started for me. I’m not sure if o have vertigo Bc I haven’t got it checked out but basically have all the symptoms. But anyways, when I was seven I had a fever and I got vertigo (assuming I do have vertigo but maybe I’m just dying idk) and I had it for the next couple of months like once a week for like five minutes before I went to bed. And then it would stop but come back in the summer. Maybe I didn’t have it then but maybe MAYBE I do now because it’s so much worse now like I’m always lightheaded and off balance and dizzy
I’ve been having a vertigo spell for 2 days now. I feel like I’m going back and forth side to side around and around. I loose my balance a lot and it’s hard for me to focus I’m glad I’m not the only person suffering from this🥺😭

i stood up from my chair because i heard my dad call me for a hug before he sleeps. i stand up a little quickly. as i am hugging him, i become light headed and dizzy and my awareness of everything arround me seems to vanish. i “wake up” standing in the kitchen, forgetting what happened and i thought i was on my way to hug my dad. but instead im somehow in the kitchen, scared. and my dad is walking in to his room talking, but i dont understand what he said.
14 years old I’ve been having this so many times. I always thought it was symptoms of just almost fainting but that was not true at all. And what was worse is that i always got vertigo in public places. Every time i get off the bus or when i walk home from school. The most painful one was when i went to a restaurant and it hit so hard that my eyes were just trying to shut and i couldn’t even eat due to the amount of dizziness and how much my vision was going sideways like if i were falling. Its truly scary. I felt nauseous and it was so bad to the point i didnt eat for a whole day*
I'm 15 and today I have been having my first vertigo attack. It started 3 days ago when I was sleeping, I rolled over and woke up because I felt like my bed was tipped over and I was rolling off. It kept happening throughout the night. The next day wasn't too bad, but if I stood up to quickly or moved my head too fast I would get really dizzy. I also had somewhat of a headache, so I thought maybe I was dehydrated or maybe since I hadn't taken vitamins that day (I'm deficient in a few vitamins) that it was causing the dizziness. Again that night, rolling over made me feel like the world was spinning. This morning I woke up to get breakfast and start my online class, but immediately after sitting up, I nearly fell out of my bed. I almost fell down the stairs too so I asked my mom about it and she said it sounds like vertigo, which she suffers from. All day I've been nauseous and dehydrated so I've been sleeping it off. It really sucks.
I m going through with same problm frm the past one year .i cannot lie down with my head down on a single pillow .i have to take one pillow and one cushion to lie down and if i start feeling dizziness in between my sleep i jst tilt my head to 45° and this trick works and if this doesnt work i sit and keep my head down untill i feel ok.avoid using earbuds.dont move your neck suddenly go for a walk and if all dis doestnt help i take 2 tablets of betahistamine and they alwys help..
Idk if it's vertigo but I get this feeling like when you look into a mirror but it's tilted, so the floor looks like a steep hill. Lmk if you've ever felt this.
Same it started when I was in the living room a and I was standing up and looking at the tv next thing I remember is getting up and every blury and dizzy I had fallen over I had it for days everything looked step and tilted it went away after a few days it was no fun
I get vertigo too. Have had it for 10 years. Following after some one had rear ended me twice back in 2008 and in 2011. I know exactly how you all feel. It feels sometimes like your head is spinning and like things are moving fast sometimes. It makes your balance feel very off as well. I get nausea when eating sometimes too and migraine headaches sometimes and walk with a cane cause of the vertigo. It sometimes makes me feel like I am going to fall over or is walking on a slope sometimes. I have nystgamus and it also cause ringing in my ears too sometimes. I get dizziness too at times as well and spinning sensations. I hope that we can all be relieved from it someday. Sorry to hear that you all are going through the symptoms as well. Sorry to hear as well about the seizures some of you get from falls you have had. I don't get any seizures but I can imagine that is difficult that you experience them sometimes. Prayers for you all.

I was driving down the highway in heavy traffic and then all of the sudden the road started spinning in circles. I get vertigo sometimes from my medication that treats epilepsy. I fell down one day and hit my head and have had seizures ever since. The vertigo I’ve experienced are extremely scary the room starts spinning incredible fast and lasts for about 10 minutes of non stop spinning and you can’t open your eyes and it gives me an anxiety attack. Thankfully my medication changed and I haven’t had one in the last 2 years. But when I get very dizzy I’m always scared it will turn into it.

There were a few times I was extremely dizzy, like randomly I would wake up in the middle of the night and feel uncontrollably dizzy and it would feel like an eternity until it wore down. I threw up both times I had this severe dizziness. The first time I had it, I threw up several times since the dizziness came back again and again in that same morning. But the second time I had that dizziness a few months after, I only threw up once and I felt all better. I either thought it was food poisoning, or this. Now I have extreme anxiety whenever I feel even slightly dizzy. And the last time it happened, it was at like 3 in the morning, and I was so tired but I knew I couldn’t go back to sleep because I would feel dizzy again and throw up. It’s the worst, and I mean WORST feeing in the world.
Keep you head up when you lie down.i m facing same problm .i use two pillows while sleepinh and in between if i feel dizzy i keep my head at 45° and it works for me
It happens to me sometimes (not that often, actually once a month or once on two months) and for me it lasts like 5-8 seconds, but I'm used to it. My vertigo isn't serious at all,it doesn't make me feel dizzy or puke,it just makes me a little bit tired and that's all.
That just means either you didn't get enough water or got up too fast. When you get up fast from laying down blood rushes from your brain. What I do when that happens I look down every time I get out of bed.

I did not know what it was and after watching this video and reading these comments, I simply CANNOT even fathom how he did it. I was so scared. I couldnt walk cause everytime I stood up, I would get dizzy and my head would hurt everytime I shook my head. I kept it secret cause I was scared what might’ve happened to me if I did tell my family. When I had vertigo and dizziness many years ago, my doctor gave me penicillin and told me I had ear infections but I never had felt pain or swollen inside of my ears or discharge from my ears, but after took penicillin for four days, I was fine. But in these four days, I only lied on the sofa most except that I had take-away meals and went to toilet, felt the ceiling fan and ceiling spinning. But a couple of months ago, dizziness came back, my other doctor could not find the reason why I felt dizzy this time, still the same that I didn’t have felt pain and discharge inside of my ears, then I took vitamin C and zinc for a long time, and penicillin for my tooth pain, then my dizziness went away. I guess I got bugs infection again, then my vertigo came back again.

Dark and miserable by continental standards.

I remember I had gotten lightheaded right after my classes in school.I didn't think much of it till my third day..and oh my God It felt like hell.i felt so dizzy and I had been to the emergency room 2 times and no answer were given. When week 1 passed I was still miserable and my anxiety was just not having it.I begged my mom again to take me to the hospital and there I was brought into x-ray.Hours passed and a doctor FINALLY told me what caused my vertigo.i was relieved and I got physical therapy to help with the dizziness. I suffered with vertigo for 2 weeks and I NEVER want to experience that again.😅
Okay I'm gonna try to keep it as short as possible if I can. I'm not sure what it is but whatever I have feels like vertigo if not, it's mimicking vertigo symptoms pretty good. Ever since Dec 8th 2019 I tried to sleep, woke up felt extremely dizzy and felt nausea about an hour or two later. My dizzyness went away by that time, but I threw up 3 times that day. I never threw up that bad I thought I had a flu which is around those times when I usually do get a flu. This is where you people may call me crazy but I threw up those 3 times it felt almost as if my left side of my head was being drained or something as if fluid from my left side of my brain and stuff was bein thrown up because I felt it from there. Ever since I've been having vertigo-like symptoms and heaviness on my left side of my body (usually feels worse when I'm not physically active and on my knees, laying down especially on my left and sometimes when I turn my head left I feel slight lightheadedness) occasional tinnitus ringing in my ear that only lasts less than 3-5 seconds it seems. I know this doesn't make sense and it's probably some rare case but it's depressing me. Sometimes this stuff just saps my enegry and strength where I just wanna rest it off. Another thing my left side of my body feels weaker than my right as if I have the flu and it still lingers in my left side of my body and bothers me to this very day. My head/neck feels heavier sometimes and my left side in general just feels a little unaligned. Day one when I woke up with it I was scared matter of fact I couldn't really sleep I just tried to close my eyes to sleep and I just opened them to feel dizzy and terrified. I've seen my doctors, Primary, cardio, neuro, and ENT. Primary and cardio thought I had high blood pressure when I have White coat syndrome. Neuro did a scan of my brain to find no abnormalities. ENT just cleaned my ears with an earpick and looked and just sent me home. Epley maneuver didn't seem to help either. It's very frustrating and depressing for me because I feel trapped and nobody can help me especially with this pandemic I feel like people are just assuming I look young and healthy and probably all in my head and throw me out without even at least trying a medication. My mom had similar problems but her problem was she had too much earwax and she was fine. Me I'm still sufferin' I wanna try that or get that sterioid injected into my ear. Exercise gradually eases the symptoms and helps them subside but if I take a long enough break the symptoms return and the longer I go without doing physically activities like working out my back and legs and running this stuff comes back real quick and only gets worse and saps me like crazy. Lately I feel like it gets worse and left side feels weaker when I get out of the shower then it's also back to strengthening those areas again. Hell, my left buttock doesn't even feel right sitting down everything is just uncomfortable I can't stand it. Please I could go on but if somebody if you're feeling or ever felt what I felt please lemme know how you got well, it's unfair and uncertain that I may have the same vertigo everyone else is feeling but It's ruining my life and I'm getting really desperate to be normal again. I'm 25 years young and never felt anything like this in my life. I do get motionsick and someone recommended a chiropractor but I haven't heard enough testimonies linked to vertigo or in my case whatever is mimicking it.

@@southwell6866 I did THC edibles and they worked. I've been doing way better when nothing else helped and when doctors weren't doing enough. I'm still unsure whether if it was vertigo or not because it effected my whole left side and I just couldn't live like that.

First time I experienced vertigo, it scared me so much. It came on suddenly. Luckily I was at home so I could immediately lay down. The whole room was spinning fast and I felt like I was going to throw up and pass out. It's one of the worst things to experience.

There were a few times I was extremely dizzy, like randomly I would wake up in the middle of the night and feel uncontrollably dizzy and it would feel like an eternity until it wore down. Now I’m at the dr.’s office I wanted to know what should I do when it comes back cause it scares the hell out of me 😔

I wish I could stop my vertigo, I've been dealing with it for 4 years now (got diagnosed at 14, I'm 18 now) and this pass week it's been really bad. Living with frequent vertigo attacks has stopped me from doing a lot with my life. I've had to drop out because I couldn't be in school because of my vertigo. This is my first time experiencing vertigo. My first ever flight in my entire life (is in Hongkong where I'm currently in.) The first day, we just slept. Then the next day was a non stop bus, trams and train rides to explore Hongkong, rode escalators and lifts. Now, I am always out of balance feeling I'm still, or everything is moving.
Has anyone experienced a feeling of deja vu accompanying there vertigo?
Yes! Today I had deja vu and I started to feel dizzy like I’ve never felt before. I read up on vertigo and realized I had that
Actually, now that i think about it, i can kinda see it. Thats really weird
I still have "episode's" where I get a crazy feeling of dejavu accompanied by vertigo and a hot flash type sweat.... I was diagnosed with Chiari malformation and siringomielia and had brain decompression surgery 2 years ago and I must say the episodes have decreased drastically. I went from five to six episodes a day to one every couple of months Maybe not trying to diagnose anybody FYI just maybe something to look into.... Had to have a special MRI with a cerebral spinal fluid flow scanner.
@@mrjamila88 I had one to even my body started to jerk a lil bit but when I was in the hospital they took 6 hours testing my blood they couldn't find anything

I get this occasionally usually when I lay down and close my eyes or watch a video of someone skydiving. I don’t try to make it go away I just lay there and wait through it. Sometimes it feels like I’m spinning super super super fast in circles. Sometimes I would be spinning horizontally and then vertically. It’s a really weird feeling. I will open my eyes occasionally and still feel like I’m spinning. It’s really weird but I don’t mind it really.

I experienced this yesterday..it was so scary I was rushed to the hospital..thru gave me meds fluids and discharged me..Mind you I was still dizzy when I was discharged..I’m now home on bed rest taking meds for my dizziness..but I’ve never been thru anything like this so it’s definitely scary
It happened to me just in the last few days everyday. I turned around in my bed and it puts me down right away due to the spinning. When I lay down I can feel my head beating. But I had an ear infection the previous week
So true
It makes you feel high in some way
I don't know if this is vertigo, but sometimes I had this thing that I started feeling drunk and my vision was going around and around making me sick.
Same as mine, sometimes i hear ringing inside my ears when im in a quiet room.
I've had 2 very serious dizzy spells. I was just standing there and the whole room went round. I literally felt like I was on a roundabout and nearly fell over. My legs didn't feel right either. I thought I was going to pass out but I didn't.

I was so scared. I couldnt walk cause everytime I stood up, I would get dizzy and my head would hurt everytime I shook my head. I kept it secret cause I was scared what might’ve happened to me if I did tell my family. But I put a water bottle in the freezer, let it freeze, Crawl and grab it, and put on the back of my neck anytime I could even when sleeping. It actually stopped after doing that for a few days.
EXCELLENT VIDEO AND SUPER EASY TO UNDERSTAND ... SUPER EASY WITH RIGHT ON INFORMATION... DOESN'T SKIP A BEAT OR MISS A THING... GREAT VIDEO !!!
I was in study hall, and was laying my head down because I was tired. I lifted my head and all of the sudden it felt like the room was tilting then it would go back to where it was before and that repeated for a good 5 minutes. I kept tilting to the left.
I have had this 3 to 4 times now but didn't know what it was, thnx for the information.
Great video. Physical Therapy is also very effective with Vestibular Rehabilitation to treat Vertigo in conjunction with, or as an alternative to, medication.
Hello ma'am, i was just thinking if you could suggest some at-home remedies cause we can't really go to a hospital or a physician right now. The pandemic's still going here.
I got mine from my wireless headphones. It's like the process of recovering from a fair ride, except the dizzy feeling doesn't go away. I had it yesterday and today, except its not as severe. Praying that its gone by tomorrow, because its dreadful

I told the doctor once. they looked at my ears and eyes, and said "I don't see any vertigo". But, it happens in bouts, or phases not on command. Basically, I never got help beyond that.

I have vertigo daily, sometimes twice, no other symptoms other than pressure feeling in head and mild headaches (not the same time with vertigo though) I just went to get an MRI, hoping that theres nothing serious, I have had some very severe stress and anxiety for a few months, even spent a week in the psych ward

Feels like the walls going one way and the ceiling going the other. I had it 6 weeks ago, three weeks after the first Pfizer dose. I wasn’t sure if it was related because the previous week we had been hiking and rock scrambling. Covid clinic said probably not. I had a BP of 210/107 so I went to ED. they did blood tests and a brain scan and everything was normal. A week later the dizziness just stopped suddenly, the headaches stopped and my BP came down. I just had medication for the dizziness.

I had my Pfizer booster three days ago, have been feeling sick for two days. I had the first case off vertigo in my entire life last night, I could barely walk without almost falling over, and was nauseous and vomiting from how dizzy I was. Scariest twenty minutes in my life, and I've had epileptic seizures since I was 6.

One quick way to stop the spinning is to close your eyes and force your eyes to stop moving around with your hands. It works to me.
Helpful specially with my case.

I just got it today & it was the worst feeling I ever felt. I was with my boyfriend & we were just sitting in the couch when I went up to get something. I’ve done the blood work, I’ve done the EKG - hospital assures me that nothing “life-threatening” is happening to me.
I started experiencing vertigo for roughly 4 days and on day 5, I’ve come down with the flu; this included sore throat, headache, heavy congestion my motivation to work went to 0.
Now I believe I am on my second week, the symptoms have slowly become minute after the cold has seemingly gone away, I still have congestion and I’m coughing up mucus.
Not sure if vertigo is related to the flu I just went through or something else?
very useful video , thanx
Is it possible a dizzy episode could impact your cognitive functions and behaviour? I had a dizzy spell and was told I was acting weird and seemed intoxicated. I took the Prochlorperazine as directed and the problem's improved. I also found light very bright outdoors. Bear in mind I'm in the UK and it's early springtime. Dark and miserable by continental standards.
