He said in an older video about the low humidity level in his area. There is less moisture to dissipate in dry air, so the charge can build up more easily.

I'm really happy with Lian Li. Throughout the years they've really brought us quality for a rather normal price and sometimes even considerably cheaper than other premium manufacturers.
Do you remember when all their cases where 100% aluminium and used acrylic instead of tempered glass I had one of those cases for my Opteron build back in the day when ATI made better gpu's then Nvidia
I mean back when LianLi was a super premium all aluminum case, they had a very premium price. But it's clear that they adjusted and are able to become mainstream with well priced and even cheap cases that maintain high quality.
Which is so interesting because I remember many years ago Lain Li was the very expensive "not worth it" one, where they only used expensive aluminium for everything and their cases were super unaffordable.
Must be walking on the planet for very long :P Let me introduce you my PC-600D on my left side, full aluminum and just costs 599,- My Lian Li Odyssey X TR-01X was only 450,- :P Like all REAL Lian Li cases they are all FULL Aluminum :P (and not steel like the stuff the peasants buy)
few days ago built my brothers first actual gaming desktop coming from laptops pretty much his whole life. the one he ended up deciding on and was a breeze to build in is called the Aqua 7 by Okinos. it kinda has that lian li look with the side and front glass with the intake fans on the back side. but same with this case it has vents along the bottom and fans under the gpu on the bottom of the chasis. 80$ for that case with 6 preinstalled 120mm argb fans it was a hell of a deal. highly rec doing a video on it for people who want alot for not much at all
Went with a 216 for my current build. After dealing with the basically nonexistent clearances of a meshify c, it was a DREAM to build in. Not surprised that the Lancool series is solid all around.
You can't tell me that this was not possible 10 years ago. It just shows how other case makers are lazy AF, and only care about money and nothing else. I'm glad that Lian LI is at least not lazy, and trying to use current technology with good solutions at rather OK price as per today's standards.
I just installed a lianli edge psu in my rig, it really does make cable management so much easier. Also they arent over priced. I got a platinum rated 850w psu for the same price as and cheaper than some gold rated 850w psu.

I’m thinking about this case for my 5090 build, I’m just wondering if that power supply will go up to at least 1200 watts.
Definitely recommend this case. I did a build for a friend of mine recently in it, and it was very easy to build in, and the price point is amazing for what you get.
Got mine yesterday (in white) and swapped everything over last night. Absolutely love it. The single io connector is such an obvious thing and was my favorite part of the whole rebuild 😅 Edit: I had no issues routing my cables with my standard (modular) ATX PSU, for anyone worried about that.
Built my first PC earlier this year and built in the Lancool 216. I chose this case because of how much Gamers Nexus and Jay praised it. It's been such a fantastic case and easy to build in, still can't believe it was only $100
I think this is about the best use of space you can get with an ATX board and a 360 on top. No extra BS, no reason for it to be any bigger. If you want dual 420s on a custom loop and a 10 stack of 20TB HDDs just get a different case. The only problem I see is the distance of your EPS connectors to the back of your PSU. To cable manage everything into the proper canal, you will need to get about a 25cm cable extension coming off of your mobo's EPS if they are in typical above the VRM position, otherwise your standard length cables will have to go diagonally across the back plate. I see a good 2 pack on Amazon for $11 and I still think this case is the best thing available and a great price even with this addition, but it is easy for folks to get ripped off and buy a $50 cable if they don't search right - or worse, some fire hazard off of AliXP
I built my system with Lian 216 case. Great case ( was recommended). Great case. Easy to mount everything. Was reasonably priced ( back last August 2023) for 99.00.
Recently changed my very old Bitfenix Prodigy M to Lian Li LANCOOL 205M Mesh. The 205m looks like a bit smaller, a bit cheaper brother of this one. Still a lot of room to build matx, very good build quality, 2x 140 pwm rgb fans included - I'm very happy with this. No need to spend more.
The sideways PSU is a good addition for Lian Li as a core problem I have faced is wire management which is worse is smaller cases. I use a O-11 D evo and with a couple drives and loads of fans, wiring is still a cluster-mess, and If i need to change/add 1 cable it's a pain to get to the psu. I got tired of psu cabling so much I switched to a sfx psu just to have more room, which does sacrifice bigger gauged wires. Having that bottom mesh panel easily removable with a couple thumb screws is a good move because it makes it still easy to switch the psu off, unlike some other cases i've seen.
2.5" SSDs don't need to be mounted anywhere - just put them wherever they will fit. Most of mine are wedged in among the cables and are still only 30C, just 3 degrees warmer than the one in the proper mount. They have no moving parts so they don't need to be treated like HDDs. As long as you can hide them somewhere, you're only limited by the number of SATA cables.
Top panels don't really need dust filters. Most of the time having fans exhaust through the top is the way to go. Seems like a really solid case. LianLi has been on a tear lately with their cases. Wish they'd make something with a XBox Series X -sized footprint.
I agree, but I also think it's a good option to have for those that need them. I got some extended family I'll hopefully be building for next year, they got two cats and let me tell you the place is shed city. The desk with the cubby hole is okay, but having the filter ontop will prevent a lot of things from settling down inside. Block off the unused pcie slots with tape, probably tape and paper off a couple other spots like the bottom and call it good. Unlike with my bedroom that I don't let my cat into, but that little shit is a sneaky opportunist, I don't really clean out my desktop since there's basically nothing to clean. Maybe a bit of dust on top, blow out the front mesh if I'm that bored? Extended family though, cleaning will probably be a bi-monthly thing, and I'm going to have to be a real blowhard (huehue) about him keeping that schedule.
I have a 216 and it's my absolute favorite case ever, I may have to give this one a try. To shut the power supply off one could probably just use the little poker thingy used to manually open a dvd drive.
Sata mounts are nice, personally i belive twho mounts are as much as I would ever need. Enyway - with SSD's all you really need is a piece of double sided tape to mount them since they are light and don't have moving parts.
@@Dcs987that is cheap, was talking to a buddy who wanted to buy a formlabs printer and it was cheaper in Aus than UK..... That 51% and stagnating wage here has really done it for us.
15:00 Isn't the PCIe slot unusually low on that particular motherboard? To me it definitely looks like it and I've seen 2 people install some thicker 4080s in this case and be able to use the support bracket just fine. Think it's more a compatibility issue with motherboards with low sitting PCIe slot than it is an issue with thick gpus.
yup. it is lower than it normally would be. it's because there is an m.2 slot directly above it. I have the same thing on my X570S Unify X-Max, your GPU will be sitting kinda in the middle of pci slots array in your case.
I started out with a generic no name 386SX. First proper case I bought was Lian Li. it was an all aluminium thing, I still l have the case but my kit is wrapped in a Fractal R6 now.
All the emphasis on filtering bottom intake, and then there are big holes on the rear. Air flow will take the path of least resistance and take all the dust in with it.
This reminds me a good bit of my LanCool II which I love. has the bottom side mesh but they're on hinges so slightly more troublesome when removing and the PSU is in the standard back-bottom location. I have a custom loop in this case with a 360 mm rad up front and a 240 up top cooling a 5600x and 3090
I bought the Lian Li GB-001 GPU anti-sag bracket for my CM Mastercase H500 ARGB case. It mounts to the motherboard standoffs, not the case. It's such a simple idea, yet so freaking effective. 🙃
10:34 I wonder if that foam rubber piece could be used for video card support near the front. Looks like there's just enough gap between the fan nearest the front of the case & the power supply cage to squeeze that little guy in for some extra sag reduction without doing any damage to the card's shroud.
Always glad for the great reviews, good and bad!!! Strange question, what case was skunkworks in? The big case, am just wondering cause I can't remember!!!!!
I have one of those Worx screwdrivers, an LTT screwdriver, an iFixit kit, and an LTT precision screwdriver is being shipped soon. All different tools for different jobs!
I love my 216. Such a great case. The 207 looks like it's a little smaller and would be great if you need all the airflow and less space. Loving what Lian Li is doing.
I still like my Antec 900. That 200mm on the top is a monster, plus I have a slot for a dvdrom. Cable management is not there and it is so old it has openings for external water-cooling lol
Chalk one up for PayLess Shoe store - the best pair of steel toe hiking/work boots I ever had were $30 and it was a brand that only PayLess and Walmart sold at the time: Rugged Outback! 😍
With how limited the space for cables is I kinda wish that the back side cover would be actually the classic slide/swing with screws kinds, cause in GN video you could see that its quite easy for the panel to not stay at its place if you don't bukkake the cable side with zipties/something to keep them as flat as possible if you have a need to have a lot of bulky cables there.
Wow, they give you a plastic organizer even in a sub $100 affordable case and not just tiny plastic bags stuffed into a basic cardboard box -cough corsair-. I have the exact same worx screwdriver, it has worked well for what it is as well as how affordable it is.
toke a break from gulfing myself in vids and shorts to detox from social media, tell me why I come back to Jay smacking and throwing every box in every intro LOL
I'm not even a dad, but with how I'm built, I gotta rock the cargo shorts in summer times, only because I couldn't keep finding pants that fight my tall height + my expanding waist size as I couldn't keep myself in shape when small injuries started adding up over the years xD
Computer cases are still so cheap!! Everything else has gotten so pricey but I'm surprised how stable cases seem to have been in the last 10 years. Theres a lot of case and parts here for $80, just wow. Have a good day! Thanks for the content!!
I use a Worx 3/8" Ai Drill WX178L, I might try that little one. And I have a Grey Lian Li O11D-Evo built reversed, with a 5900X, Aorus X570 Master, 32 GB 4400Mhz DDR4, a Zotac RTX 4070 Ti Super, with 16TB of storage.
It is a little too big for me as well. Butttt I can’t complain too much because I wanted something that would fit any size gpu and also top notch thermals and I got it.
Yeah, me too. I used the 216 case for my first build, because the space makes it easier and compatible with pretty much everything. I dont really mind the size, it looks nice (and the PC worked on first try, heh)
This case will actually look full after you build it. As much as I love my O11D EVO it looks empty after I finished building. Only gripe I have is that the fans have RGB =/ Edit: that foam piece is for the power supply. It's used to make sure your PSU doesn't cause vibration noise.
Pretty sure this is the same model case I have. It's a fantastic case for the price. Highly recommend it. One thing I do remember though is if you use an aio cooler, there is not a lot of clearance on the top for the radiator. It does fit though.
@Audiosan79 maybe it's the 216? I don't have the box for the case anymore, so I don't remember which one it is. All I know is it looks really similar to that case.
I really like this case. We need more cases that are "just-atx". It looks so neat if it fits perfectly, instead of having this huge amount of space aroind the mb
Grabbed the Lancool 215 last year as it was one of the cheapest, okay looking cases at memex, and honestly i really appreciate their foray into cheaper cases.
I've been searching for a more compact case that will fit my RTX 4070 Ti and sit on the shelf that my stereo system sits on. I use my TV as my monitor and I've been questing for as compact a case as I can find but still provides decent airflow. This one you reviewed is definitely going on my list. The airflow on my current case, I am not happy with since I had to do the airflow out on the bottom of the case so I won't end up with heat getting sucked back in.
i rebuilt my pc into a 216 and recently built a medium end gaming pc for a customer and i built it into a 216 as well, they are really affordable and high quality cases!
As someone who has a 3.5" HDD in their brand new system, I appreciate that there is even a spot for it that doesn't interfere with other spaces. As for why I have a 3.5" HDD in a new built, its for heavy read/write storage.
Antec P20C white with 2 x 3.5" HDD and 1 x 2.5" SSD in my 3 month old AMD 7950 so I get ya. I'm actually also sticking a Molex and SATA cable out of the case so I can plug in my Blu-ray.
That's genius! Put the heavy read/write stuff on slow, outdated mechanical storage because you don't understand that TBW values for SSDs are merely their warranty rating and not their actual endurance rating. Rather than face potential failure some 10, 15 years from now... just make it slow from the start!
Its nice that they replaced the harddrive bay by the PSU, but then it now requires a "extension" cable for the PSU to be plugged in, and if that cables dead then the whole case needs to be replaced(?) which is a bit of a hassle
I have a Lancool II mesh and it came with the ability to mount 2 x 120 mm fans in the power supply shroud that pulls in air from the lower mesh panels on either side it does help a lot I noticed an almost 8* C change on the gpu once I mounted 2 fans there
Saw Steve looking at this when they were previewing it, and bought one a few days ago after more reviews kept coming out. Not here yet but excited to build in it. Was going to get Fractal North, but price and it not doing 360aio when the 207 can at a better price, had to go for 207!
Funny how the gage of the power cable is a thing to be concerned that much about in America. It puts things in perspective for me being from Denmark. That cable in this case would be more than thick enough even for a 1500W PSU here 😅
According to Amazon Spain/UK/USA/Canada this case doesn't exist. Is it already launched for sale or we'll need to wait for some time? Because THIS is the case I need. Oh! I see a shop in Spain and they say it will be available on 11-29. I can wait a month.
diet is the sum of food consumed by a person or other organism. The word diet often implies the use of specific intake of nutrition for health or weight-management reasons
There should be some testing to see how much the conflicting air flow between the graphics card and power supply (facing up) effects temps and performance.
Hi Jay, This was a perfect way to get all the "cheap" PC gamers to subscribe to your channel, hoping they would see more reviews of cheap components. Guess where those rubber pads go? They are a substitute for the GPU support. The magnetic screwdriver set is fantastic, but will it fit in your pants pocket?
edge power supply is a nice fit & def helps with routing/cable space issues, but a us$130 minimum power supply would be heavily cutting into this case's price advantage. i could spend the same money on an $80 power supply and a $130 case.
They already have the LIAN LI O11 AIR MINI which I like a lot and this one is not bad but small cases are made for desk top and neither come with their I/O in the bottom front. If they made it .75" wider like the 216 they could have fit a 160mm fan in it and made more room in the rear side.
damn that price, just checked uk £75. this is the case I wanted instead of the corsair 200t... like the layout and support are exactly what i wanted. if only this released like 6 months ago
You know you are getting old when you shop on amazon for things that you need like the screwdriver there (bought it cuz of you jay) and just waiting for the right time to use it, instead of buying parts for the pc and storage but i will never buy most of my clothes online though and yes i too was the walmart and payless bought stuff when i was younger. Still do from time to time.
I really have considered buying this case, but unfortunately the issue with the PSU is an absolute can’t do for me as my PSU cables just don’t fit. Maybe the next one will be better.

Chalk one up for PayLess Shoe store - the best pair of steel toe hiking/work boots I ever had were $30 and it was a brand that only PayLess and Walmart sold at the time: Rugged Outback! 😍
I bought the white lian li 207 with the white lian li hydroshift and it looks amazing. Very happy with lian li so far.
I was actually looking for a electric screw driver. Worx bought with your link, thanks Jay.
Wow, they give you a plastic organizer even in a sub $100 affordable case and not just tiny plastic bags stuffed into a basic cardboard box -cough corsair-.
I have the exact same worx screwdriver, it has worked well for what it is as well as how affordable it is.
Wow. What timing. I'm doing research for a complete rebuild to something smaller and that is exactly what I'm searching for.
toke a break from gulfing myself in vids and shorts to detox from social media, tell me why I come back to Jay smacking and throwing every box in every intro LOL
That Worx cordless drill is $24.89 on Amazon now
I'm not even a dad, but with how I'm built, I gotta rock the cargo shorts in summer times, only because I couldn't keep finding pants that fight my tall height + my expanding waist size as I couldn't keep myself in shape when small injuries started adding up over the years xD
The first case I bought to build in was the 216, it’s nice but it’s large.
I just did a build in the 216 and even though its bigger than the 207 it makes it easier to work in.
It is a little too big for me as well. Butttt I can’t complain too much because I wanted something that would fit any size gpu and also top notch thermals and I got it.
That’s what I’m saying. I’m not a fan of cases with a bunch of empty space, it makes it look like something’s missing.
Yeah, me too. I used the 216 case for my first build, because the space makes it easier and compatible with pretty much everything. I dont really mind the size, it looks nice (and the PC worked on first try, heh)
@@MrJet30 this is true but I didn’t check dimensions and it doesn’t fit where it should on my desk.
This case will actually look full after you build it. As much as I love my O11D EVO it looks empty after I finished building. Only gripe I have is that the fans have RGB =/
Edit: that foam piece is for the power supply. It's used to make sure your PSU doesn't cause vibration noise.
I was questioning whether my board would fit in this thing given it's tighter space and then Jay pulled out the exact same board I have.
Would love to see a custom water loop in a 011 Vision, seems to be so cool to do with all that visibility.
Last lian li case you reviewed i brought for my first pc build, and i couldnt be happier thanks Jay!
Pretty sure this is the same model case I have. It's a fantastic case for the price. Highly recommend it.
One thing I do remember though is if you use an aio cooler, there is not a lot of clearance on the top for the radiator. It does fit though.
I doudt it. This case is not on the market yet. they are up for pre orders.
I'm using Lancool 215 and I love those big fans at the front. This 207 looks great with the GPU direct fans. Putting this on my list for next build.
Its nice that they replaced the harddrive bay by the PSU, but then it now requires a "extension" cable for the PSU to be plugged in, and if that cables dead then the whole case needs to be replaced(?) which is a bit of a hassle
I put my first computer together last year. The case is a Lian Li lll , really heavy case, but i love it
Very cool and thoughtfully designed case and man it's so cheap too. Bravo
That's my kind of case. Cheap, functional, no flashy bullshit. Thanks for the review guys 🙌
Jay brought back memories showing his shoes...
My Adidas - Run DMC✌️😎
I have a Lancool II mesh and it came with the ability to mount 2 x 120 mm fans in the power supply shroud that pulls in air from the lower mesh panels on either side it does help a lot I noticed an almost 8* C change on the gpu once I mounted 2 fans there
I use of course Dynamic O-11 and Lancool Mesh 2 - both about 100-120 Euro. Best Cases ever.
The back ground audio in this video is so Awesome!!!!
Dude I built my parents PCs last year in the lan cool 107, those were damn good cases for the price.
I got a skil driver just like that worx one at sam's club last year, it's awesome!
3:27 Jay, as an older man to an older man, switch to Sketchers “Slip-Ins.”
not ideal for the bigger guy., my "memory" soles collapsed at around the 4 month mark. i think they remembered im overweight and gave up
as dumb as they look ... Crocs ! cant beat em way too comfy
He's not THAT old yet.
As someone who is 25 I love the slip ins
@@johnt.848 Sketchers don’t look “old.” They come in all sorts of styles. My 11yo son has a pair as well and he loves them.
Saw Steve looking at this when they were previewing it, and bought one a few days ago after more reviews kept coming out. Not here yet but excited to build in it. Was going to get Fractal North, but price and it not doing 360aio when the 207 can at a better price, had to go for 207!
Would love to see a sleek and minimalist water cooled build in this case!
Looks decent for the price. Similar to the 205 Mesh I had (and you have). I admit I prefer panels that screw on and not clips, though.
Thanks for providing the link to the Worx Screwdriver. You know your audience 🤣
Lian Li is so popular. I just got my Dan A3 Wood and I'm super happy with it.
No one is buying a 500$ power supply and 70 $ case..... oh Jay. You silly man
Yeah, the correct thing would be no one should
@rhynlock11 yeah you obviously spend 500 dollers on 2 fans and 70 on the gpu like the rest of us. Silly silly Jay
I definitely want to do a build in this case at some point. This case looks so good to work in.
I like it, I'd buy it for my next build? Get some HVAC smoke pencil's to show air flow! like a poor mans wind tunnel!
Not the dad shoe, get yourself some New Balance 623's or Nike Air Monarch's. The Monarch's are super comfy btw.
Nice review. Nice Case. Love that Lian Li brings out some cool Cases. @Jay: What´s the extension and Magnetiser for the 4V Worx called?
If you have a "want" in your build but there is a compatibility issue, a Dremel can usually solve it. 13:33
damn that price, just checked uk £75. this is the case I wanted instead of the corsair 200t... like the layout and support are exactly what i wanted. if only this released like 6 months ago
nothing prevents you from buying it now and replacing the old case, small amount of money to feel satisfied of your build
This looks like a Fractal Design Core 2500 (which I love, because I have 3, lol), and it's up to date design, makes it its successor...
Oooh just bought that screwdriver. Makes a change as it was cheaper than advertised :)
I ordered and received a Works screw driver. I love it.
You don't have to mount the PSU sideways if that is the issue
