To this day I still prefer the convenience of having the disc drive especially with how many games Xbox supports through backwards compatibility. I’ve kept my whole 360 physical library from over the decades so it’s nice I can enjoy them on the newest console with graphical improvements. Old news but still valid more than ever imo. @@SeanMoynagh-s8x no they’re not “all” compatible. Microsoft has a list on its website. Only Xbox One games are “all” compatible. The 360 has a smaller library and the OG is even smaller.
Not gonna lie, I don’t understand why everybody doesn’t like the fact that the Xbox controllers use batteries. The fact that I can swap out dead batteries for new ones means I don’t have to worry about having a long charging cable if I’m in the middle of a gaming session plus I can always just have a fresh pack of rechargeable battery packs on demand.
The weight of the console is a HUGE factor when it comes to making an informed buying decision. I know I'm always carrying my console around with me everywhere I go.
I prefer batteries or a removable battery before the dualsense method. And i think we all wanted a series S with a disk drive over a series X without one.
Tell me you are joking please, the price of the S might be real nice but it being 3 times less powerful than the X is a big problem, I play ark survival ascended on the S currently and it crashes an obscene amount, yet my mate plays on an X and doesn't crash at all. So why would you want a disc drive added to it when developers are struggling to get the games to work properly on the S as it is?

IMO, with the digital only consoles, the creators could be making them much smaller or to fill the larger shell with better and more efficient cooling.
The disk drive isn’t the issue, the top fan and split motherboard are what are keeping the Series X design the same, digital or otherwise. Plus, the SX is already a triumph in design and engineering, considering how small it is relative to the performance it has.

The difference is that the ps5 although capable of outputting 8k it doesn't support it which is dumb. The Xbox SX however does actually support outputting 8k resolution
I don't understand the complaints for xbox controller battery choices. I think it's the best of all worlds. You can use disposable double A's, you can use rechargeable double A's, you can use rechargeable battery packs that charge through the controller and you can use rechargeable battery packs that can use a standalone dock to swap out - stores 4 packs. -- All batteries fail. When the PS5 batteries fail in 10 years, you will have so much more trouble changing those out than the xbox batteries. The only valid argument is the extra cost. But the rechargeable battery packs with four batteries and a dock costs about $30 - $40 for four batteries. It's not that bad.

The disk drive isn’t the issue, the top fan and split motherboard are what are keeping the Series X design the same, digital or otherwise. Plus, the SX is already a triumph in design and engineering, considering how small it is relative to the performance it has.

Series x uniquely has serious problems this gen.
1 The install base is so pathetic, that the number of users with a series console that has a physical drive, after 4 years, is barely 7 million.
2 Xbox won't use 100gb bluray discs for their games this gen, only 50gb discs.
3. From the last point, this makes physical games going forward EVEN MORE hard to justify on Xbox.

Batteries are way better, just buy like 4 rechargable ones. The amount of times that ive had playstation controllers just stop charging because the port gets messed up or the cord doesnt work is insane.
everyone makes fun of AA batteries in the controller. I'm all for it. Just use rechargable AA batteries. You buy 4, 2 are always in the charger while the other 2 are in the controller, this way you have always a charged pair of batteries and if it goes bad, it's not propriatary, so you can buy cheap replacements.
This way you'll never encounter the situation when you want to play, pick up your controller and the batteries are low, so you need to charge them. Just pop in the other pair of batteries and you are good to go.
Am I the only one who thinks like this?
Bro PS5 is getting so much crap.
Oh no, wont someone think of the billion dollar company
Wait!? So why did the Xbox just release the same basic Xbox with 2TB of storage for 600 but when ps5 pro with a far superior GPU and pssr and advanced raytracing and even a 2TB hard drive too is 700 everyone freaks out about the price? Where is the massive outrage for a 600 dollar Xbox with just a 2TB hard drive upgrade.
Well graphically speaking the difference between the Ps5 and Pro versions are quite small.
because that shit doesnt even have a disc drive, and the games are still running in the performance mode but with PSSR
@@Faded.Visuals not to me. I always pick fidelity because of how it looks better, now it will be nice to get with 60fps. Have you seen the upgrade it does to ff7? I wouldn't call that a small difference.
@@aaa4181 fair enough, but I don't want the disc drive and the disc drive is 80. And the stand is stupid, I'm not even getting one. My point was why is 600 fine but 700 is outrageous for much better tech minus a disc drive.
@@mrpiratefox4497 not at all. I always pick fidelity, longer draw distances, thicker vegetation, more cars/NPCs, ray tracing. All those things at 60fps will be great. Hell, I still use a 1080p tv, I don't care about the resolution, I don't like screen space reflections in many games. And having an upgraded ray tracing that's not even on PC yet, that sounds great to me. I like the more dense traffic in games like gta5 or Spiderman 2.
4:31 wtf are you talking about, that's not warranty fraud, a company can't void a warranty over a sticker. The FTC literally sent out stickers to Microsoft and other big tech companies in 2018 about this.
Why ya gotta be mean about it
Daddy chill
Opening up the back panel actually doesn't void your warranty. They say it's fine to clean the console
100% Support AA batteries. Rechargeable batteries are cheap. Easy to replace. Easy to charge a set while using a set.
I my Ps5 I just have a $4 12ft controller cord . It never comes off even when the battery is charged .
PS5 Pro for $700... WHAT A RIP-OFF, SONY ARE CRAZY!!! Xbox Series X for $600... *this is fine*
i mean both are rip offs with the ps5 pro being the more popular console. i think most people don't even know a new digital xbox series x is coming out lol.
@@LCJammer you have to say that the top spec Series X is a terrible value proposition when you compare it to the PS5 Pro. MS have lost the plot.
@Boneso1982 like I said, both are rip-offs. The $100 price difference between the two is not much in the US, but in other countries, the difference is much larger.
PS5 pro is basically the same powerful as xbox series x .. base ps5 is more powerful than series s but underpowered to xbox series x
@@johntrooper1153 objectively incorrect. Series X is not as powerful as a PS5 Pro.
