The Bronze Mutha guitar slide is unfortunately out-of-stock. I'm having quality issues with them and would rather not disappoint anyone, so I've removed them from the store. Sorry 'bout dat...
I enjoy your simple lessons Shane..Keep up the simplicity...Thanks..
I've gotta stop watching these late at night because now all I want to do is stay up and practice... Thanks Shane, great stuff again!
You can't help but grin and tap along. Keep 'em coming.
Commenting for algorithm, wish I found this channel sooner
Thanks mate. The notation and exemplification on relaxation helped a lot.
Also tried this on a mountain dulcimer. Not the usual choice...but it works. Thank you.
Great video for the beginner Thanks 😊
@4:00 "keep strumming like that"..... I swear I've heard that before somewhere 😂
from the other side of earth, from Israel, I thank you for the great lessons 👍
Thank you brother I truly enjoy absolute beginner lesson. I have learned over my nearly six decades I was not gifted in music and for me the learning is fun
Gonna learn it👍
Thanks again 😎
Real Nice!
Awesome lessons please keep them coming.
Will do!
I cant wait for this lesson!
Thanks for the lesson. Love this riff, super versatile
You give me the blues 💙and I love it! 🎶
Loving this.
Another awesome lesson!!!!
Where have you gone why no videos for ages Shane??????
Thanks for all the lessons Shane, greatly appreciated here in the emerald Isle, 🇮🇪 Ireland. My biker buddy Gus & I are aspiring cbg disciples, still at an early stage yet but enjoying it. Built about 10 cbg's now & trying some ideas likes well as volume & tone controls, I've added a 6 position rotary switch with different value capacitors which really extends the tonal range.
Thanks for sharing another lesson!
Thanks Shane 🤘
Awesome love it ❤️
Well done Shane 🤘🤘🤘
Great video thank for the lessons
Me, deep in my man-cave: Guitar pick? Check. Slide? Check. Skully t-shirt? Check. Hmm, something's missing.
The voice of Shane Speal resonates: "What you're gonna need is a 3-string slide cigar box guitar."
Darnit!!!
Thanks again for the video 😊
Great as usual Shane 👌
Great video Shane!!!
good video thanks
Another grouse lesson. Very many thanks.
Thanks Shane I think I can crack this one.
I'll be looking forwards to please don't go.
These are great beginner lessons.
Love the video. My favorite artist is ZZ Top so this is perfect for that.
just bought one of your guitars, bout to buy a few of your song books. going to finally dig into learning how to play.
You are way too inspiring Shane. Some of us out here with our head way over our skies 😂
D'ya have a spare can of that "rhythm" hanging around, Monsieur Speal? Mine is from a discontinued line.
Another great lesson you are the King!
Aw shucks, I'm just the janitor!
@@ShaneSpeal talent knows no rank.
Another great lesson for this beginner. Thanks!
Let me know if you can play it!
@@ShaneSpeal I'm chugging.
Hi Shane, just found your channel while searching specifically for CBG tips. I just got my first CBG a couple of weeks ago, had a local guy make one for me after meeting him at our local county fair.
This will be a great one to practice, get the strumming down, use the slide and try to expand what I can play like you were at the end of this video.
You commented at the beginning of the video about making your own CBG. Is that something someone can realistically do if they have never built a guitar before? I'm not sure of the equipment required and also the skill level needed.
Thanks again, happy 4th, hope you have a safe, fun holiday!
Marc
Hey Shane where can i get that front Bridge next to your tune keys????
"Good guitarists borrow - great ones steal!" You'll be at Personal Jesus in no time!
Bring it on, 'Gypsy King' of the CBG World!
Thanks for all the lessons Shane. Me & my buddy Gus are cbg disciples, at an early stage yet, but enjoying it. Keep those lessons coming Shane. Greetings from 🇮🇪 Ireland
Shane, as always, you create killer content, and it's a major reason I first got into cigar box guitars at all. Quick question from a total beginner, though- is it possible to play "Old Dun Cow" on a four string (or three string) CBG? I figure if anyone would know, it would be you, so if you see this and have time, let me know. Thanks again for all the great stuff!
Hmm, I’m not too familiar with sea shanties, but I’m sure you could play simple chords to accompany this!
Great Video! That little piece of label sticking up on the corner about drives me crazy! lol I wanna reach through the screen and glue it or pull it off! lol
I just ripped it off for ya!
@@ShaneSpeal It wasn’t a bad thing I just kept getting fixated on it the last few videos! lol
Thank You Shane for sharing your Cigar Box info, here is "You Know You Have The Blues" my original Cigar Box Blues played with a broken bottle neck slide, enjoy! ua-cam.com/video/kfBC3W4bRwc/v-deo.htmlsi=0mr5AS7to-ONa8Ed
Sounded like the personal jesus riff at the start. Look forward to learning this one
Yep, very similar. That's why lessons like this are foundational... they allow you to morph these riffs into different songs!
Hey Shane, I got a question/idea, you mentioned something wanting people to make songs… would you consider doing a companion series on writing/arraigning songs… I think I’d be cool if you
Helped us take this simple riff and build our own song from it. Until you mentioned it I never ever considered the idea of writing songs… even though I’m a writer, and have even written poetry. But to craft a song?!?!
It's in the works!!! But until then, take this one piece of advice: My #1 tool for lyric writing is using www.RhymeZone.com. (It's a total cheat!)
You talk way too much man it drags the video out and it makes the lesson harder to learn
