Excellent lesson for beginners. I had to learn this through tons of videos. I dig the way you incorporate just enough theory to encourage further investigation, but not intimidating to a beginner. First of your videos I've seen, and this should help me quite a bit. I bought my first CBG last year, a local guy builds them, so no shipping was nice. I'm actually looking to upgrade to a better instrument. This CBG has been okay, but something is off with the action that even the builder couldn't fix after telling him about it.
I'm coming from a 6-string electric style to play the CBG, and I've always used a pic. So, I'll learn finger picking along with playing a 3-string. This video (and I'm hoping your other videos) should help with both of those.

Welcome aboard! Cbgs are an amazing adventure. Don't be afraid to build your own. If you're playing slide (fretless) the action doesn't matter, some of mine are over a half inch! I answer all comments and emails. Some of my lessons have tabs and they are always free 😀
