walk around towards end of video.
like and comment if you dig the ms6
sub for more mazdaspeed content!
I’m so glad speed6 content is still around
Trying to keep it alive as best I can
Nice, thanks for choosing CS.
Great front mount kit! When I find some time I will put together a video showing the routing and fitment. I need to get a battery box, and some other goodies from yall soon. If I got aux fueling best believe a cst5 is going in
Love my speed3! Happy to see somone still making content on this motor/platform. gl man! sick ride.
god i wish i never sold my speed6, just such a cool car. and just nice to drive, very stable at speed.
Miss my Speed3 all the time. I was freektuned as well. Wonderful engine that when taken care of properly is reliable too. Thanks for the vid!
Yeah they're really nice! I got my next revision today up to 19psi now. Gonna do a video on it tomorrow
Right on! Just keep an eye on that KR ;)@@OTBspeed6
@@Cooperdaleit you know it!
Beautiful Ride...
Good video bro keep up the content of the 6 there's not enough for this car and I really love this car I'm building mine rn.
Thanks man! Yeah we gotta make sure we push out the content so more people know about these badass cars. What mods you planning on?
@@OTBspeed6I got a new engine with the stock internals so just planning on going about the same as you ultimate goal is around 380 maybe 400 with stock internals i been told by people that it can go to that potential if built correctly and always keeping an eye on it. But eventually planning on going with Manley pistons and rods for internals.
Mods I currently have on it
CST4
CS Exhaust
BSD
EGR delete
PCV delete
Damond Oil catch can
CS FMIC
3.5 intake with upgrade map sensor
CS throttle body
I don't have much yet but I'm working on it lol
@@DonJulio6 sounds like a fun setup for sure! Well done
Speed6 gang has gathered together. I love mine, but it is a slow process to bring it back to good driving shape before I can mod.
subbed for speed6 content! also how is your steering? my power steering pump failed so had to change it and now I cannot recall how the feeling was before, but it feels hard-ish? anyway good video man
Awesome video man. Keep the speed content coming!
I’m boosting around in a Freektuned Speed 3 in Aus 😊
I really liked the freektune on the stock turbo it was smooth! Gotta love the Aussie scene as well!
@@OTBspeed6 What made you switch up tuners?
@jackholmes1246 heard good things about wills tunes and I worked a deal on the turbo + tune package. The response time as it's my daily was a big factor too
@@OTBspeed6 Makes sense! From what I’ve seen you can’t go wrong either way
@jackholmes1246 nope! It'd a nice change of pace for me as well. I normally tuned my own cars but enjoying not having to constantly tinker and adjust
driving vicariously in my speed6 through this video until I get a new motor Thanks haha
Guys don't mind the 'Check Engine' Its an illusion. btw love the mazda
I’m barely looking in to it. I always liked the tsx look alot but this has that similar vibe. Did spd 6 offer and awd and fwd options? Because it seems all im finding online is fwd’s. And i do prefer the awd
Will tuned mine, 24-26psi on a corksport CST4 turbo, i built a forged block for her. limited on fuel, spraying meth but not tuned. power is okay wish i could get more.
Ive been considering one of these for awhile now. As far as practicality goes, im really interested in real world mpg and road trip/highway mpg. Keep the videos coming!
You won't regret it. Coming from the turbo subaru world I enjoy this car much more than a wrx or legacy. Biggest draw is the fact the block handles more power on stock or moderate builds and the trans is almost as good as a sti 6spd. As for mpg I'm getting around 24mpg highway and 19 or 20 city
hope you can upgrade the exhaust manifold with something more efficient and balanced ^^
I have the bnr S1 in my speed6 with 21psi peak boost reliably. Is it possible to get more out of it with the S3? Ps. Also got the tune from will at PD!
I blew my speed6 back in February gunna buy a new motor soon miss it too much 😭
I have the same s3 with all cs bolt ons. I do love my car but I have a cracked transfer case.
On the bnr website I believe they say their turbos don't work well with divorced downpipe and could cause over boosting
Those were their older versions, they updated them awhile back and most all on market should be good to go. Can say no issues so far wastegate is 16lbs and it doesn't overboost checked for clearance and all is good!
hey bro any hp estimates? seen other coment of you saying 19mpg in the city i wanted to know how much hp you had i wanted to have a mazda6 stage 2/3 for daily use to
I'm probably sitting around 310-330whp and 340 torque. It'll make a little less than a ms3 due to tbe awd system. But im maxed out on 92 Oct. Could push more with this turbo if I went ethanol or further
On bnrs website it says they won’t work with divorced Downpipe. Has that changed?
That's the older bnr versions. According to corksport and bnr it should be resolved. In my case tbe bnrs3 I have had no issues with boost spike and hit 21psi
I just bought a speed6.. and I think one of the previous owner removed the obd2 plug…does the plug come from the ecu under the drivers dash?? I’m trying to find out where it comes from so I can see if there are any wires that have been cut
it should be above your inner most pedal, stick your head in and have a look.
Yep lower right of the Dash it's like a trapezoid shape
@@OTBspeed6 ya I found it finally…it was stuffed in by my shifter column kinda behind my stereo…it had a adapter for some sort of tuner but never put back..previous owner couldn’t find it entire time he owned the vehicle…thnx 4 trynna help tho
@@polneroff Ty I found it finally
i just bought a speed6 gen 1 with 93k miles for 8grand ☺️ any advice for me?
Maintenance. Plugs, coils, VVT repair, oil changes every 3k miles with synthetic. Change transmission oil, diff oil and transfer case oil. Then Cobb AP, high power fuel pump (hpfp) internals.
@@sevenmileshome hmm thanks! Previous owner owned it since brand new, and kept it stock.
mine has 148k miles and it started burning lot of engine oil do you think its fixable for the long run? cause i want to chip tune the car
Id take care of the burning oil first.
Basically a vf turbo?
Nah, more comparable to the blousch dom 1.5 just slightly smaller. It's a 46lb/m rating
Quarter mile time
Just had the boost turned up another 3psi. Gonna be another week or so of tuning but March the drag strip opens back up!
