This Mazda is crazy and Misha really showed what it's capable of
I have been secretly hoping for this for so long! I own a gen 2 stage 2, Amazing car.
Are you in the Uk by any chance? I have my top 3: RX7 , Evo 8-9 and 3 MPS. I’ll pay for a ride in yours as a passenger since I haven’t managed to buy any of the above 😂
Awesome to see an MPS and one with well done mods as well.. proper stuff
I was always terrified of the sound of these cars lol. I'm actually throwing a big bounce turbo on mine ad I speak
Some really sick driving skills! I really need to get out and practice more. I'd be happy if one day I can do 1/2 as well as Misha.
Great to see the Speed still putting smiles on people's faces, great car too!!!
Thanks for posting this as promised! I was very much looking forward to it as this is as close as it gets to a professional driving a Mazdaspeed3 around the Ring! This was one of my dreams to do in the 2013 I had before I sold it. They're great little hot hatches even in stock form!
3:15 The MPS actually comes with a LSD from factory
They suck tho. Coming from someone who owns and races one. Many other cars around the same years had better diffs.
Bloody good driving that. That 718 driver was scared sh1tless I bet like a ghost following behind you!
For an owner of a 3 MPS tuned to 370hp/520Nm, this is a delight to watch
Never heard or see this Mazda before. What a cool car! Those japanese they know stuff bro
I miss my MS3. This video has me smiling from ear to ear. Thank you both 🙏
Seriously impressive. Looks like you have 300 to 350llbs extra on-board as well, and still doing incredibly well through the twists. Great lap.
400 minimum
I dont use lbs much but from what I know I can guess misha is around the 200lb mark if not 210, and the bloke next to him is probably around the same then the chick is maybe 140-160?
All in all its probably closer to 500lbs
@@CRUMB. I am assuming one driver same weight as Misha, some only adding the two passengers. To me, it makes the Mazda lap even more impressive.
I recall 15 or so years ago in my Nissan S14a, and feeling the difference even one male passenger made to acceleration.
@@matthewwain9958 ahhhh I'm an idiot, I get what you mean now as in 350lbs more that the porsche 🤣
Yeah I have an i30n and I took a work colleague for a drive, he is on the hefty side and i noticed the difference
@@CRUMB. Jelly of you getting the i30n. We got the Veloster, but the i30n was just so much more practical. (Ended up with a 2018 STI lol, but wanted the Veloster if it had been been able to carry my ever increasing height daughter lol).
Those tires did so well with this car
Man I've really been waiting for the day you'll track a Mazda MPS..Thanks mate
THIS MAZDA MP3 NEEDS ANOTHER RUN WITH MISHA ALONE & NEW SET OF MICHELIN TIRES, THIS IS A CAYMAN KILLER🎯🎯🎯🌟👌🏾‼️
Not to disagree with you but that Continental is something you can't Imagine... I had michelin too, awesome tyres, but contisport contact 7 are really amazing. But... Everything has a cost.. i had mine gone in 10000km... Super tyre, super soft... But the grip on the corner it's really ridiculous high
Hello Misha, you are probably one of the best drivers I have ever seen on UA-cam! As a student myself, I'm wondering if you can do more videos of affordable and modified cars on track?
Very cool I have a 08 Mazdaspeed3 as they were called in the US! Great to see Misha's excellent shifting work (until the camera fell off lol) Gotta keep the boost on in the MS3!
I owned one of these when they first released. Was an animal as stock, ate tyres real quick. Needed good tyres and some suspension tweaks to improve grip. A better diff would have helped a lot.
Cusco offers one for 1k
Had a Mazdaspeed 3 as it is called in the states for 8 years. Other than having a turbo shaft/seal go on stock turbo, car was fantastic little hatchback. Almost want to get another one just to trash about as a daily.
Misha goes into competition mode as soon as he sees the porsche 😂😂😂😂. That ms3 is fast for sure
Great driving keeping up with the Porsche with a car load of people inside the Mazda Speed 3.
that thing needs a good set of brake pads and a newer gen bb turbo from CN so it becomes a true weapon, well driven Misha!
People don't see this brand, I love it. It is very underrated. Here the Porsche was just better in suspension and I don't know how many were inside that car but the mazda was full😅
First to make it clear: NO OPEN DIFF. It has a LSD!
I was there the same weekend with my MPS BK, unfortunately the track was closed 3 times on Sunday because of heavy crashes.
Please don't drive over your limits.
My Specs:
1.5-2° Camber Front/Rear
Cup2 front
Potenza Sport rear
Bilstein B12
Stock engine
Whiteline Anti-Roll bar
Ferodo DS Performance front
Hawk HPS rear
ATE Racing brake fluid, metall brake lines
GT Spec exhaust catback
Great specs! I'm looking into the brakes and bracing atm.
9:16 Excellently driven, perfect curve path.
true !!
I dont see anyone thanking you, so im gonna do it, thanks for uploading it earlier in the day, it used to be around 10pm, now its 7pm where i live. 👍
Love when you drive slower cars lol ❤
3 deep as well 😊
Slower cars .. 300+ hp :D
This car wasn’t slow
Comparing to lot of the cars he drives, thats what I meant, not saying this car is slow....
I go three deep sometimes, on a good day.
@@mediocreman22 in and you're at the balls
Thank you!! Really makes me second guess if I should sell mine.
I’ve driven a lot of Honda’s, Toyota’s, Subaru & VW manual transmission cars in the last 15 years & in my opinion the Mazdas have the best pedal positions of any of those cars. I just find the heel & toe is so easy for my feet. I own a mk8 golf r now & I’m really struggling with the pedals.
As a mazda 3 owner/driver I simply love this video.
I've been waiting to see a MS3 for so long, here's to hopefully seeing more!
4:42 OH NO. not the Foot Cam. was so nice to watch that heel n toe work there.
Nice sound, maximal grip ! This is my tire next Year.
Finally Sem, nice video with Misha driving your MPS around the Ring 😊
Boxster Complex.... They are the ultimate track car IMO, but to see 3 people catching up in a Mazda 3 turbo has got to make you question life a little haha
That was awesome. Love to see mazda pacing a Porche! Very underrated brand.
Als de eigenaar van deze auto dit leest. Wat een beest van een auto heb jij. 10/10.
Dankjewel🙏🏼
the Porsche driver probably really hated seeing that there were 2 passengers...
Ugh he has the Forge BPV and I love it so much.
WHAT A RIDE... i love when you take "normal" cars and bring out such a great potential.
Mazda MPS with 3-up chasing a Cayman - now that's a Misha Moment 😁
He wasn't chasing, the Porsche was blocking the road ahead. If he moved in the very beginning, he would never catch up to the Mazda.
It was a chase cause the porsche made it one. If Misha started in front im pretty confident we wouldnt have seen it after a few corners
Ive driven a BK MPS3 a few times and i love them, the engine is such a weapon. This looked super composed.
Bit more brake mods and sort out the rub issue and it will be perfect.
A Mazada 3 MPS is such an underrated car 🚀🚀
❤ Mazda 3 nice to see it and a good one for sure. Great drive
Never expected to see a Mazda 3 on this channel😭🔥 ZOOM ZOOM
I had a 2013 non turbo those cars handle like crazy i could terrify people on backroads.
I have one of those! The mazdaspeed3 platform is / was pretty popular here in the states. reallly really fun on track w/ a few mods.
Must be a beast with only one person in the car. Nice.👍
MPS mazdas don't get enough of recognition.
The breaks if the same as the us version are 320mm stock with a big single piston kinds surprised they performed great
Love the 3 MPS! Such a wicked lil hatchback.
my dad add a first gen speed and always thought myself that they are really sleep on really cool to see this on the channel
Mazda gang! 🤘
how to recognize a well engineered car? when you go full throttle on 2nd-3rd gear with 300+hp on the front wheels and it almost tightens its line, thanks to a good LSD and good suspension
The little Mazda 3 is hooked up. Of course Misha makes up for the lack of horsepower. The Porsche driver must have been, how do I not shake this guy behind me? Loved it.
Another great video! Please give us the wheel and tire sizes in these videos so we know a little more about the setups.
I test drove one of these. Didn’t really get to push it, but it seemed great. They’re kind of known for torque steer, and that was noticeable, but not a deal breaker.
Misha its a Master, and that Mazda is a beast
I had a 2007 Mazdaspeed3 with some mods. Was a fun car to drive.
Those speeds are crazy, looks so exciting.
