Having premiered during the Longest Night of Museums livestream, this documentary film produced by World of Warships in collaboration with veterans’ charity FORCE BLUE lets you tag along with four Navy SEAL veterans to the beaches of Normandy, where the principles of U.S. naval special warfare were forged in fire.

This needs to be on the History channel. Such a powerful and emotional story. Thank you all for your sacrifice.
That was an awesome video. It was well put together. I have been to Normandy, and to the Cemetary, and it will take your breath away. There were so many units, and so many young men that sacrificed that day, I just wished we had some way to honor them all, but that documentary would take weeks to watch, and people would never show it the honor it would deserve.
Funny story, Draper KAUFFMANN had a bad eye sight and had to use glasses. There are few photos of him with glasses in his younger years, most during his senior years in the service. The legend goes that when Draper was leading UDT 5 during the landing against Tinian island June 1944, he had his glasses taped to his forehead, while wearing his diving goggles. And also Draper was a volunteer bomb disposal operator during the "Blitz" in 1940/41.

My "favorite" Allied ship that participated in the Normandy invasion was the HNoMS Svenner. The Svenner was a Royal Navy S-class destroyer given to the Norwegian Navy-in-exile. The Svenner was supporting the landings on Sword Beach when she was hit by two torpedoes fired from the 5th Torpedo Flotilla out of Le Havre. The Svenner is the only Allied warship sunk on the morning of June 6th. The torpedo hits blew Svenner in half and she sank quickly. This ship is my favorite because her presence at Normandy shows how the Allied nations joined together in the fight to liberate Europe from Hitler and his cronies. So many people from so many nations were united against the Axis powers, and they sacrificed so much for victory.

Historically, what USS Texas did by flooding himself it's unbelievable.
But in game , since USS Texas is tier V battleship, I would prefer to use tier VII Colorado or West Virginia.
In game, my favourite ship for landing mission are tier VII Commonwealth Cruiser fast artillery Uganda for facing those torpedo boat, then Colorado & West Virginia.
While dffending mission, my favourite ship tier VII Leberecht Maass, because have 3 smoke screen, mean longer to survive.

@@zegrze There is currently an issue that displays as if the code has not been redeemed, but you should be able to see a D-Day container in your port!
