Her dad is dead too in the books he has a heart attack when she turns for the first time because it had never happened before. He thought Seth was fixing to turn not Leah.

In the books they say that evasion is Victoria's gift. She was a runner and James was a tracker, that's why they were together. In the New Moon they had a deleted scene where Victoria talks about how her and James would separate and spends months chasing each other as weird vampire foreplay. Gahhhh!! I was team jacob because I couldn't stand edward. Jacob was horrible too and made terrible mistakes but he was an actual TEENAGER going through two different sets of puberty...... All those hormonal changes going on, Of Course he was going to make terrible choices.... Hes technically still a child mentally with the body and hormones of a grown man. EDWARD on the other hand is OVER 100 YEARS OLD and he's making choices a teenager would make, but times 100. In my opinion, she is completely at fault with how hard he came at her. She would play this kid like a fiddle and then get upset at him for reacting..... I'm not saying his actions are right but he'll learn as he gets older..... It would take longer for him to see the truth if bella kept doing what she's doing smh.

Watching Rizzo react to Rosalie’s story was everything... you could literally see his pain for her. Rosalie’s story is one of my favorites because it explains so much about her, but it’s dark, and I appreciate that he treated it with the seriousness that it deserved.

That's an aspect of twilight I wish had been brought up more in Eclipse.
Suppossedly the person you imprint on is your soulmate. If Jacob didn't imprint on Bella, then clearly there's someone else out there for her. It's a bad idea for ANYONE, Bella included, to seriously date an unimprinted werewolf. And it's selfish for Jacob to do it, if he knows he might randomly fall in love with someone he meets on the bus or at McDonalds. THat alone should have been reason for Bella and Jake to just be friends.

Ok I remember when Jacob said the “I’m hotter than you” line and everyone in the theater gasped or cheered, I cannot stress enough how much going to see these movies at midnight was an experience

Alice can't see split second decisions. It's something Bella and the others do all the time to get past her. If my understanding is correct, Victoria made a split second decision or changed her mind very fast, told Riley and walked away. Alice didn't know about Riley so she didn't know to look for him. While he made the important decisions, Victoria led them on wild goose chases as seen in the movie. IDK, they never show anything from Alice's perspective so I'm not sure how it worked.

Really appreciated Rizzo's strong reaction towards Jacob, truly refreshing and reassuring.
All the side characters are so interesting and the eclipse book is really where we learn a lot about everyone's background. Some are in the movie obviously but it's so much more in-depth in the book. Like Rosalie in her human life had a friend who had a baby and a husband who loved her and she envied her friend. Then she found Emmett almost dead after being attacked by bears and the reason she decided to save him was because he looked like her friend's child. And some of Jasper's friends from the newborn army in Texas are talked about that become more important in the 4th book. And we learn so much more of the pack's backstory as well, for instance, Embry might be Jacob's half-brother. And they also give several Quileute stories at the bonfire, not just the vampire one.
Also, I don't think this is in the 3rd one and can't remember which one it is but Alice's storyline is also super interesting but is never mentioned in the movies and think :/

@@PinkPopcast Alice's background is soo interesting and I love her. I hate that they didn't put it in the movies. Basically she already had 'visions' during her human life (more like premonitions i guess and they weren't always true I think). She warned her friend that something bad was going to happen but the friend didn't listen, so when the thing (can't remember exactly what it was) came true, people thought she was a witch and had cursed her friend. She also had a vision of her mom being murdered and the mom ends up being murdered (but the death was ruled an accident) and the dad remarries pretty soon. Alice has another vision that her dad and step-mom paid someone off to kill her mom and she runs away but her dad catches up with her and throws her in a mental asylum where she is subjected to electric shock therapy (which is why as a vampire she doesn't remember her human life). While in the asylum, she has visions of James hunting her and wanting to kill her, so a vampire who works at the asylum turns her to save her.
Sorry for the rant, I just really love her story!

Jacob sexually assauled Bella, Bella cheated on Edward a day and a half after she got engaged to him, and Edward had Bella kidnapped. Jacob was probably the worst of the 3, but they all pretty much sucked in this book. I don't think she was doing anyone any favors.
i dont think its about that dude, there are so many indigenous characters in twilight that have complex personalities and are good people. people like jacob exist in every race and culture. also edward is also controlling, is literally decades older than bella, and creepy. its not about race or culture i dont think.
@@alexandriaking8544 I think an arguement can definately be made that Seth, one of the indigenous characters, is arguably the nicest purest character in the franchise. And in Midnight Sun, Edward described Jacob that way (though it was prior to him becoming a wolf). So their portrayal ended up a mixed bad, just like everyone else.

Eclipse is the movie I like least but the review I like most so far out of the Twilight ones. Highlights: Rizzo’s hate for Jacob - love it. He gets it. Also his reaction to Rosalie’s story was just amazing. But the one that got to me the most was Benji saying “they didn’t get to keep her” just killed me! 🤣 Also, Team Charlie🎉. Honestly the best character in the movies.

I think when Sam turned werewolf, Leah and Sam were going to get married. Emily literally came to Leah's house for her cousin's wedding. She was the bridesmaid. And then Sam turned to werewolf, disappeared to get some control, came back to visit Leah, imprinted on Emily, she rejected him, Sam lost his temper and scratched her face up, Emily was admitted to hospital, suddenly they were a couple. All this happened and Leah didn't even know that Sam was werewolf. She just thought Sam dumped her for her cousin. Then she transformed, her father got a heart attack because she was a girl and wasn't supposed to be a werewolf.
Also imprinting was literally to get the best babies to protect the tribe. So basically it was like a higher power saying, hey you and this random chick have excellent genes and your child will be a strong werewolf who will help in defending the tribe. It's not as much for love.
I can't stop laughing !!! Team Charlie for the win, the only character that makes sense.

@@PinkPopcast Though I mostly dislike the Bella character, one aspect I do strangely admire is that she knows what she wants, fights for it, and in the end gets it. She doesn't flip flop or second guess herself. You can argue she SHOULD second guess herself more ... but the fact that she gets what she wants and it works out in the end basically justifies her not compromising what she wants.

You might appreciate this, but I originally had the audio from the SECOND movie playing underneath the clip. It was the scene during the three-way-sword-fight when the Davy Jone’s crew emerges from the water. It was more in line with the ECLIPSE clip used.... but alas, I used “Underwater March” from the FIRST film because I knew the original version would have flown over people’s heads
The part where the vampires crack like actually made of mineral was pretty cool, from what remember of watching the movie with my sister. Also, Charlie remains the best character by leagues and leagues.
