there's a deleted scene where edward throws jacob across the room when he realizes he imprinted and i really wish it was kept in the movie. and yeah... stephenie was 100% messed up for that whole plot line
I really hate that Stephanie decided to explain Jacob's one-sided romantic feelings as some kind of supernatural thing where Jacob was...literally attracted to Bella's egg that would be Renesmee. Literally wtf??? As if you can't just fall in love with someone who doesn't feel the same way. Why does it need a supernatural reason? Lol. That's ignoring the child grooming...
Stephanie wrote a story about a 317 yo man who stalks a 17 yo young lady and enters her room while she is sleeping and an abusive 16 yo who don't know what NO means... She messed up since beginning 🤣
@@lilscenechick1995 I think it's a little different. But it's also genetic. Jacob had always liked Bella since he was human, and those were human feelings. Maybe. When he became a wolf, the feelings intensified, I don't remember exactly, but it seems they both have. And when she got pregnant, it got even stronger because Renesmee was here.
Aren't Sam, Leia and Emily the same? Leah is Emily's cousin, the closest relative of the right age, close to the wolf. I think if Emily didn't live on another reservation, she would have grown up with Sam and they would have dated from the beginning. Yes, still only human feelings, but it seems to me that there is still a little magic. Jared ended up sitting next to his soul mate at school (I think) and although he didn't seem to feel anything for her before imprinting, she was in love with him. Maybe he has not "grown up" yet, and if he had not turned, he would still have fallen in love with her.
Although... I was trying to remember Leah's family tree here. Is she a wolf only by her father? If not, does Emily have the gene too? Or they are more distant relatives.

I fucking love Seth. He’s definitely my favorite werewolf and one of my favorite characters over all. He’s so sweet, precious, and openminded. He isn’t prejudiced against the Cullens and his friendship with Edward is adorable. He’s just so pure, especially in the books.

Alice's backstory here, Since you mentioned it at 20:30.
Short Version: Alice does not remember her human life. She awoke as a vampire, having a vision of her future - Jasper, and their happy life with the Cullen family. (I believe her very first memory was Jasper saying "Alice." and that's why she chose that as her name.)
Long Version: Mary Alice Brandon was born in Mississippi in 1901. (the same year as Edward) Mary Alice had visions of the future even as a human. She had a vision of her mother being murdered by a random dude, and warned her family. Her father didn't believe her, but her mother took precautions for a few months with nothing happening. Eventually, Alice's mom let her guard down and was shortly murdered by a stranger, just like Alice's vision. Except that Alice's father silenced her about the visions and her mother's death was officially ruled as an "accident." Within a few month's of Alice's mom's death, Alice's father remarried to a young blonde woman. The new step-mom didn't like Alice, and Alice started to suspect that the new stepmom might've been involved in her mothers death. When Mary Alice brought this up to her father, He got mad at her and defended his new wife. Shortly after that, Alice saw a vision of her father and her mom's murderer plotting to kill HER. Alice ran to family to help, was refused, and ran to the town marshal. Alice's father had beat her to the marshal and had Alice locked in an asylum really far from their home. While inside the asylum, Alice's head was shaved (this is why her hair is so short and spikey, vampire hair isn't SUPPOSED to grow as we see in the movies.) Alice was also put through electroshock therapy that erased her memories, but also made her much happier since she couldn't remember all the horrible things she'd gone through. A vampire happened to work at the asylum and became really good friends with Alice. He would test her powers and tried to make sure she didn't get *too* horrible of treatments. While still in the Asylum, Alice had a vision of James (The tracker from the first movie.) coming after her, which occurred the same moment that James caught Alice's scent. Alice was James's "Blood Singer" (which means her blood tasted better than any other to James, Bella is Edwards blood singer which is why Bella smells so much better to Edward, if that makes sense.) Mary-Alice told the vampire that was taking care of her at the asylum and they planned Alice's escape, but Alice still saw James catching up to her and everything ended in her death, until the friendly vampire decided to change her. Alice saw this possibly working but they only had seconds before it would fail, so the vampire turned Alice and went to distract James. The vampire that created was killed by James, but by the time James found Alice, her blood was turned and she no longer smelled delicious to him. James left her to turn. When Alice woke up, It was like she was just born a vampire in 1920. She had no memories of her human life at all, The vampire that turned her, or James. She had a vision of Jasper saying her name, and a happy future with the Cullen family. Alice started as a vegetarian early, knowing she would eventually become one. She practiced being a vegetarian while waiting for Jasper. Alice finally met Jasper in 1948 in an empty diner in Philadelphia, the pair joined the Cullens in 1950. In Midnight Sun, Edward notes that Alice waited until Edward and Emmett were away hunting to introduce herself and Jasper to Carlisle, Esme and Rosalie, as Emmett and Edward were the family's main protectors.

@@nyashajoseph9684 It was lightly referenced at the end of Twilight (James telling Bella that he knows Alice and was surprised to see her again) and I think the beginning of eclipse or end of new moon (Alice talking about tracking down any living human family members) but most of the information comes from the twilight wiki & Stephanie meyers official website.
Thanks for the recap. I do feel bad for her vampire friend who died saving her and she doesn’t even remember him. And that she never got revenge on her father & the man who killed her mother.

In the books, Bella spends 3 days in the most excruciating pain. They tried using morphine in her but the venom in her blood would burn it too quickly. The only thing that kept her from going insane was thinking about Edward
Not only did it not work, but it paralyzed her too. She couldn’t even scream or move until almost the third day but kept from screaming after that because Edward was there and she didn’t want him to know she was in pain and that using the morphine had failed. Then she lied and said it had actually worked so no one would feel bad😂
@@BJGreene It's interesting that in the book she was resolved to tell Carlisle about the experience in case they ever wanted or needed to turn someone, because of course if that ever came up Edward would know about it from his thoughts.

Loved Rizzo's reaction to the CGI baby, it is exactly the reaction I knew he was going to have. Believe it or not, the CGI baby was actually an improvement from what the movie was originally going to do, which was a creepy Chucky looking robot doll thing, so between the two the CGI is preferable. Although I honestly don't know why not one of the writers or directors didn't go "hey guy, here's a wild idea, why don't we use a real baby". 🤯

I saw this in theaters with my mom and sister and let me tell you people were CRYING at Jacob imprinting on a baby! They were also literal SCREAMS people let out when she died, and when she came back. And me, crying laughing when Emmet punched the 🐺

Jacobs concern for bella about having a real honeymoon is extremely valid..... He could literally kill her. And yes some of his concern came from selfish reasons but the facts are valid . And I think that people forget that his irrational reaction to the news was due to the fact that he is a werewolf and hasn't been one long and they have severe anger issues and literally have to train for a very long time to learn how to control their anger and let's not forget that he's still a TEENAGER in a grown mans body with the MIND OF A CHILD/TEENAGER.
And that's one of the reasons Jacob and Bella probably would not have worked even if Bella did choose Jacob. Jacob, like Edward is very controlling. But while Edward will usually end up caving and giving Bella what she wants, Jacob will lose his temper and drive Bella away. Basically that's what kept happening in Eclipse everytime she visited him. It was hard for them to even just be friends. Until Jacob got better control, a relationship probably wasn't a good idea.
That said, Jacob seemed to chill after he imprinted. I wonder if that's the actual function of impritning. It it somehow helps a wolf gain better control. Intentional or not, it seemed to work. Jacob was much more chill after imprinting on Nessie.

Alice’s deal is that she could always see the future, even before she was a vampire. Her parents had her declared insane & locked up b/c she knew a secret or something? It’s a little hazy. Tbh I’m sad I have brain space dedicated to even that much of the story 😂😂😂
She was close to her mum, and saw her being murdered and tried to warm her. Turned out her dad had hired someone so he could marry someone else. They locked her up so she couldn't cause trouble for them.

I remember in the books, you'd just turn the page and it said nothing but "October" and then you turn the page again and it just says "November", then "December", then "January" and I beleive that both in the book and the movie the choices for that scene are perfect

It’s only the women vampires who can’t have babies. Our main family have only ever been with the same vampire.. until Edward. They didn’t know it was possible. The women are literally frozen.. so, why aren’t the men? ‘Cause Stephenie Meyer logic.
It wasn’t the morphine that kept her unconscious. The venom burned through it instantly. It was Bella. She remembers how hard it was when James bit her, and on top of everything going on.. she didn’t want Edward to know she was suffering, too. Y’all should’ve watched the extended versions.. a few good things in them. Like Rosalie making a meal for Jacob in a dog bowl.. he threw it at her head. After learning of the imprinting, Edward dislocated Jake’s arm, and threw him across the living room. Explains why it took Jake so long to come outside when it was Renesemee they were fighting for..

I'll never understand why they didn't just use a real baby for those scenes. There wasn't a need to create the child's features. Any random white newborn or month-old baby could have sufficed!
There unfortunately was a need. They needed the baby to focus on a face directly for a long time and to be expressive. Newborn babies don't do that - they can't focus on facial features because they can't see them yet, they're always looking around, blinking, unable to really see much beyond simple shapes in the light. They also can't express any kind of emotion, which they needed in the film. Newborn babies are either crying, laughing or looking vaguely constipated. They needed Renesmee to focus on Bella, to give certain expressions in each scene (showing her what memories she has of her, smiling at Charlie, etc.). They also needed the baby to grow extremely quickly which meant if they used real babies, they'd have to be constantly swapping them. And how do you get that many babies to look exactly alike?
Some of the best digital artists in the industry worked on the last few Twilight films, including Star Wars special effects alumnus Phil Tippett, who at that point was running his own studio. CGI could not at the time accurately and realistically portray a human face in motion - it suffers from the Uncanny Valley effect, where something looks human yet has something undefinable that just looks off to us. We can't put a finger on it, but somehow we know it's fake. CGI cannot even do this TODAY, it is perhaps the most difficult effect to pull off. Look at the Superman mouth as an example, and that's just a damn mouth. They had to do an entire face, and they had to keep that growing and developing face on newborns, older babies, toddlers and little girls to accurately portray the character.
So yeah, it's awful. Technically it's very decent CGI, but the film is nearly a decade old now and CGI today still can't accurately portray a moving human face without us being able to tell that it's fake, so it's no wonder older CGI like this can't.
