No one can tell me that twilight is not a comedy. I have multiple asthma attacks laughing at this movie. 10/10
It's even more funny when dubbed, because then you have the additionnal comical factor of bad lip syncing.
I saw this first one in the cinema (I got entrapped by my friends), and I literally choked with laughter in the middle of it. I was in full tears.
The movie is so cringe I also laugh a lot, but I must confess I unironically like the book haha
the editing is low key trash for this first film...omg...its so clearly cut up with shots that do not line up...ugh...the camera man and director was trash

No one hates Twilight as much as Robert Pattinson 😂 It’s funny how everyone was hating on his performance in this movie but now everyone is praising him for everything he’s done after Twilight. He’s come a long way and is such a great actor. Love your reactions as always 😉
Everyone? No not everyone. Twilight was a phenomenon and droves of young people and some older people rushed to every premiere to see the films.
robert doesn’t even hate twilight. yeah, he’s made jokes about it but recently he said he loves that it has become a cultural phenomenon and thinks it was ahead of its time in some aspects.
At least he remembers being in it unlike Anna Kendrick 😂😂
He doesn't hate the movie, he actually said multiple times that he is grateful for making him so famous.
I think less people hate on Pattinsons performance once they read Midnight Sun. He seemed a bit more emo and cringy than the version of Edward we see from Bella's perspective in Twilight. But when you get Edwards perspective in Midnight Sun, you can actually see how Pattinsons take on Edward fits.
Also, I don't think he actually hates Twilight (though I'm sure at times he hated some of the fame from it). I think he just has the sort of personality where he kind of makes fun of everything. At least that was my take on a lot of his knocks on Twilight. I think it's just his sense of humor.

Didn’t Anna Kendrick forget she was in this movie? My favorite thing about the Twilight movies is how much the cast hates them.
She didn't forget. She was in almost all of them, maybe not the last one. They jumpstarted her career and were huge movies. 🍿 🎥 ✨ If she forgot that seriously then I would think she has a bad memory tbh. That's four years, lost down the drain. She needs to drink some green tea or something.
She pretends to forget maybe because she’s ashamed. Don’t see why. No matter how good or crappy something is, if it jump starts my career, I’d be thankful & speak neither good nor bad about it. At the end of the day she’s winning in her career. To each their own I guess 🤷🏻♀️

when you've read the books you realize that the acting is actually spot on...thats genuinely how the author wrote them😆
No, she wrote Bella as awkward as in clumsy and didn't quite fit in and Edward as normal except for having a temper and being sulky sometimes. The Kristen stewart not being able to talk and breathing thing and expressionless acting and Pattinson's waaaayy over-brooding acting was not how the characters were written, I hate when people say that. Bella in the books was actually kind of funny, Edward had many moments of levity and happiness, he spoke with conviction as opposed to Pattinson who in this move said all his lines monotone and like he didn't care at all about what he was saying. Life was lacking from both of their portrayals.

Jacob sexually assaults Bella, and Charlie practically gives him a hi-five for it. Any guy who sides with the person who sexually assaults his daughter over his actual daughter neither deserves to raise a child or wear a badge.
I will say he is better in the Eclipse movie than in the book. He's at least neutral to Jacob sexually assasulting his daughter, rather than supportive of it.

I'm not sure the "acting" is bad, as much as the directing, or the editing. As if for each scene they had 12 takes and picked systematically the one where the actors were the most awkward, unnatural and at their worst. Weird since these actors and this director have otherwise been known to be good.

This is a really well made series, the source material is trash 🗑
I'll admit that when I first saw Twilight the awkwardness was a bit weird. But I grew to appreciate that. In TV and movies, teenagers talk so smoothly. Twilight is one of the few movies which actually captures how awkward teenagers who lack social skills can be. Teenagers don't always say whitty or profound things all the time. Sometimes you don't sound clever and cool. I appreciated the directing after the fact, especially when I've seen Robert and Kristen go on to put out some great performances in other movies.
It gives off the vibe that the editor had beef with everyone else involved in the production.

Plus she can't walk around without falling down or bumping violently into things so she might have killed herself accidentally too.
Not to mention she'd be dead from the van and the guys who tried to mess with her in Port Angeles. Given Bella is a clumsy danger magnet with no sense of self preservation, having an obsessive supernatural guardian angel fall in love with her is actually a lucky break.

watching this as a late teen and then as an adult were WILDLY different experiences. i don't begrudge girls liking romance or vampire stories - i still like them now, but some of the glaring toxicity in the relationship blew me away. if someone compares you to heroine, run.
