One thing: Bella was NOT using Jake's anger to get him to kiss her. It was the other way around. Jake was using the fact that Bella cares about him to manipulate her into asking him to kiss her. He basically threatened to go get himself killed because he didn't get the girl. It's the same as telling a girl that if she doesn't give him attention/date him, then he's just going to kill himself. It's manipulative as SHIT.

In Bellas mind she was using Jacobs feelings for her to manipulate her into not going into the battle. So there's a degree of truth in the criticism against her.
But this really was Jacobs being a manipulative bastard. Rather than simply sexually assaulting her for a kiss, he instead threatens to kill himself to get her to do it. Jacob is a real delusional bastard. Edward was a saint for not blowing up on both of them.
@@noelbernabe8704Yeah Bella acts really weird lol and Jacob acts like a classic abuser. The sad thing is I’m still team Jacob because at least he has an excuse unlike Edward. He’s a dumb teenager and hormonal werewolf. Edward is over a century old and acts like he’s older than that and yet is still threatened by a 16 year old boy.
Seems like their problems might be solved with a threesome and Edward doesn’t even seem that against it. Jacob acts like he would be, but maybe he just hasn’t thought of it yet.
I never pay attention during fight scenes, but having your reactions floating around in a bubble is a game changer.
Rosalie showed up in a wedding dress!! That's honestly the most amazing thing in this movie, and I love this movie. Ok Jacob kissed her against her will and than manipulated her by saying he was gonna himself killed so she would kiss him 🤢.

I came to the comments to say that. people hate on Edward for letting Jacob overhear the wedding conversation, but I feel like what Jacob did was wayyy worse. both of them were wrong but as I've said before, I will always be Team Edward because that's who Bella chose and everyone around her should respect her choice. #period
@@the_nikster1 tbh all 3 characters suck. Jacob kissed her against her will. Edward stalked her and watched her sleep for several months. And Bella continuous to have a relationships with both of those creeps. Like girl find a damn hobby and leave 💀

And at least he was the youngest one out of them, so it's kinda understandable that he acted stupid sometime with all of this teenage and wolf hormones lol. Unlike 100 and something year old Edward that shoul be wise enough, but didn't knew any better than being a creep around a teenage girl, stalking her and watching her sleep without consent! Manipulating and gaslighting her multiple times.
So it's funny how Edward' fans always act like Jacob is the only bad guy

@@victoriamellark sure he did watch her sleep but I don’t think that’s nearly as bad as literally forcing forcing yourself on someone and threatening to kill yourself unless someone chooses you over the person they’ve always chosen. please. I’m not saying Edward is perfect. in fact in my original comment, I admitted that Edward did something wrong my allowing Jacob to overhear their conversation. but at the end of the day, Bella chose him. who are we to tell her she’s wrong? she’s a grown ass woman. part of the problem is all these men telling a woman what’s best for her life when they need to let her make her own choices.

I was always irritated by Jacob because he should know better. He wants Bella to choose him when he knows he has not imprinted on her. He was well aware of the what happened to Leah/Sam/Emily. He tells Bella the story and then mentions it a couple of more times during the film. Sam loved Leah, but as soon as he imprinted on Emily, he left Leah. So Jake could easily do that to Bella since he hasn’t imprinted on her. I know how things happen later in the upcoming movies, but Jake can’t know all of that at the time of this movie.
It was never really discussed in the book and it really should have been.
It's not a good idea for Bella, or anyone else for that matter to get into a serious relationship with an unimprinted werewolf. You're asking to be put in Leahs position. Even if Bella didn't love Edward more, she frankly should have thought twice about getting into a relationship with Jacob.
@@noelbernabe8704 but a large part of the reason Leah's situation was so awful was because she was blindsided by it. She had no way of knowing she and Sam were liable to break up. She thought he was "the one".
If Bella had picked Jacob (not necessarily saying she should have, I mean, I ship all the ships, lol) she would have been going into it knowing that Jake was a wolf, knowing about
Imprinting, and knowing she wasn't his Imprint.
I don't think there would have been anything wrong with them starting a relationship, if they both knew those were the terms 🤷
Overall I liked this movie but it’s biggest failing is the way they handled the Jacob and Bella kiss on the mountain.
I believe In the book she was more terrified and desperate to keep Jake from getting hurt. And when they kiss Bella sees an entire future with him. Marriage, children, growing old together, everything. We see that she really does love him and knows she could be happy with him but the draw she feels to Edward is just stronger. In the movies Bella comes off as more selfish and inconsiderate of Jacob’s feelings but in the book she was struggling with her feeling for both guys.
The movie made Bella look a little worse, but he made Jacob look better. Which is probaby a good trade off considering armies of teenage girls were supposed to flock for Jacob AND Edward. If Jacob were as bad in the movies as he was in the books, he might lose his fan base. Hell, even though they toned Jacob down in the movie I'm still a little surprised there's a team Jacob after Eclipse.
There's a book about the female vampire that the Cullens tried to keep safe. It's called The Short Second Life Of Bree Tanner and honestly it is very good. It's a short book but it's worth it, you guys should check it out.

Ok the one problem i have with this movie is that Jacob literally sexually assaulted Bella. Which like I love you Jake but WTF WAS THAT?! YOU’RE SUPPOSED TO BE THE NOT TOXIC ONE! and also the fact that Charlie literally doesn’t care and still like Jake after he admitted to it. Like BRO THATS YOUR DAUGHTER YOU SHOULD BE PISSED! I love Charlie but damn mans should not be okay with that at all. So many people act totally out of character in that scene.
Charlie and Jacob were both terrible in Eclipse (though they at least weren't quite as bad in the movie as they were in the books).
I'm honestly surprised team Jacob continued to exist after he sexually assaulted her. Howe can people still support him with Bella after he did that to her? Not that Edward is perfect by any means, but Jacob really crossed the line.
Between him sexually assaulting Bella, and him manipulating her to kiss him by threatening to commit suicide, Jacob proved to be ten times more toxic than Edward. And Charlie isn't much better. He doesn't sexually assault people... he just supports it. Which is weird as both a father and a law enforcement officer.

Edward really does need to be credited for his self control. Between Jacob sexually assaulting Bella, and Bella cheating on Edward a day or so after she agreed to marry him, he had every reason in the world to lose it. But for the most part he showed a good deal of self control and understanding.

Yes, Jacob emotionally manipulated Jacob into kissing her. But Bella cheated on Edward the day after she agreed to marry him.
