    To be honest with you, I got interested with Gia Marie Carangi's story because i read she loved Girls and didn't care who found out. This was 1970's. The guts in this Girl's body is astonishing and she didn't even try to have that kind of flare.
    I'm bisexual and I live in this modern era but it's still hard sometimes. The more i know the details about Gia's story, the more i became interested. Besides the fact that her face is very easy to fall in love with. You're both right about the "Androgyny" effect that Gia had. Again, This was 1970's. That terminology hasn't been invented yet but she was strutting that style like it's nobody's business.

      Marlon Brando was the same way he was open about his sexuality even in an interview and that was in the 1950s. I feel like people that are gutsy and u apologetic with incredible talent and charisma were able to navigate. I also think artists and the field of art is more open to anything. You can’t be an artist and be close minded at least not a great artist.

    She wasn't just a addict she was a human being too who made some very bad choices & lost her life because of them. Apparently she was more than just a model because a lot of people loved her and still do.

    It is nice to see him defend Gia. I am sure some of the stories about her were not true. And she is not here to defend herself. Gia Carangi the most unique model of all time. Nobody was or is like her.

      I've heard plenty of people say Gia was very professional and always worked hard it's these users and abusers who are trying to leech off her legacy telling lies that she was some sort of trainwreck when that's not at all true

    I agree with and Sandy is NO better she used Gia and Gia allowed her to, she denied it and denied it about their lesbian affair, and now she sitting here living as if it was all good. The industry use these beautiful, shallow, and depressed girls and then spit them out! They didn't even know she was dead until a year later.

      Sandy did drugs along with Gia I don't believe she was ever really a lesbian but because she was attractive and showed interest in her she experimented playing for the other team but as soon as she got it out of her system dumped Gia like a hot potato I agree I don't think she ever cared about her like that

    She was special & unique in her time compared to the rest of the model's in her day. It says a lot about a person when 26yrs after her death people still talk about her still love her & she still has fan's so she must've been something special. She will always be remembered & I disagree that she's lucky that people do remember her. Gone way to soon. I pray she has peace & I'll never forget her & I'm by far the only one one who won't

      +Sandy Linter How can you deny someone you say you love?

    • @island-life
      @island-life 8 років тому +16

      Just Somebody What the hell are you on about? she didn't deny anything. I believe Sandy loved her as long and as much as she could. Gia was probably bipolar, Gia had damaging personal and heroin problems. You can't save people like that. They need to save themselves. Sandy was straight as an arrow before Gia came into her life. You don't expect someone to instantly know every little thing about their sexuality in a heartbeat and to mention, Sandy had a boyfriend, the woman was in a relationship. Sandy cheated on his boyfriend with Gia. Can you imagine how confusing that is back on the 70's? Nowadays, it's convenient to look for answers. Today we have social media and homosexual television shows. There's some kind of an outlet. Before, there was nothing they can turn to. Give her a little bit of credit. She's not a bad person.

I am so sick of seeing these blogs of people who knew the "Real Gia" While she was behind alot of her problems she could have used some help. So Sandy Linter and Harry King do not sit there like you were both so much better / smarter then her and wax sympathetic about her life while she cannot right any wrong.

    There have been a lot of models that have come and gone and the 1970's saw the birth of the supermodel, with Lauren, Cristina,Margaux and Cheryl getting the first cosmetics contracts (Margaux being the first to get a million dollar contract) and a lot of recognition began to happen but I am going to admit, there's been no one either then or now as beautiful and unique as Gia.

    When you live in that kind of lifestyle nothing but bad can come from it. When your living for yourself and don’t care what God the father who loves you very much thinks nothing good can come from it nothing at all. I felt for the woman but she was not happy at all because of her lifestyle. If she had received Jesus in her life wholeheartedly she would have been a different person. Yes, some other videos say she had Virgo in her astrological house ( I'm not sure what that means) but living in one's truth is what its all about or should be but according to some Gia wasn't fully honest. She didn't tell her gfs everything and for someone that preferred women. She had secrets or withheld information from her gfs about herself.

Gia was straightforward in her pursuit of women but you do know that she was also seeing men. Which puzzles me but I'm not Gia and it's too bad she didn't live to give incredible insight into her nature. That would have been fascinating. Gia was DEFINITELY a free spirit and lived life on her terms as she navigated thru it trying to figure it all out. She used her instincts which unfortunately weren't always the best and her street smarts didn't always kick in or so it seems as the shady and fake characters that inundated Gia's short life. Gia could be forgiving and she loved her mom, but Gia was still 11 emotionally. It was stated that Gia just fell in love with beautiful women and didn't care if they were gay or straight but it seems that many of her gfs were bi or not really gay.

      Keith Richards (Rolling Stones Guitarist) his wife Patti Hansen introduced Gia to Heroin. No1 made Gia do nothing that she didnt wanna do. Living Fast & Die'n Young. Things might have turned out difficult for Gia if she had Guidance a career doing something positive to better herself. Gia would spend 2,500$ a weekend on Heroin. Then it got to every day all day. She was a full blown addict. Heroin was the 1st thing she thought of when she woke up. Last thing she thought of when she layed down. Addiction is the 2nd most Powerful thing 1 meets in this life. The most Powerful thing in life is the "TRUTH". I'm a recovering addict. I've walked in Gia shoes. Bn there - done that. Saddest thing in life is- Wasted Talent. Gia was BEAUTIFUL like no other. She could have done anything until she meet the Devil (Herion) himself. It will take- and take until you have nothing to give- then he will teach you his ways- then take your life. I wish ppl would have Understanding that doing Herion- the rules to the game applies to all the same. Rich-Poor-Black-White-Male-Female-Tall-Short-2 Eyes-4 Eyes-Thick-Thin. Herion kills all. If you try it once he (herion) mite let go? You try him twice he will own your soul. I'm glad Gia straighten up before she past. To bad she didn't do the right thing when she was modeling. Gia got on the wrong lane when she was modeling & never exit it. Self Destruction it's sad for real. Gia her life is a perfect example why ppl Should Say NO To DRUGS. They will Destory. Your a Great Inspiration

      @@giamarie2494Interesting, because it was stated that Gia hung out with Mick Jagger and the rest of those guys. Also in "Born This Way" it was stated that "a nefarious person a villian" had introduced Gia to H" and also that a person or group of persons was giving Gia drugs to control her and make her cooperate. That's too bad and horrible. She's dead and those mf.ckers are probably still alive and thriving, whomever they are. Pattie and Jagger could tell a lot about Gia but if that's what was going on (IDK) then I see why they don't offer versions of Gia to these books and documentaries. Too bad and so very sad that Gia didn't know or understand her worth and that she couldn't see that these people WERE NEVER HER TRUE FRIENDS.
