This also works using a NAND logic gate. The XOR gate can work with only one input, whereas the NAND gate needs two. In this situation that would work fine.
can't wait to see what you got in store for us next! on a side note have you thought about doing morality vids on Fallout 4? maybe something like youtuber " Oxhorn " videos
on a side note I also have a youtube channel " V4Voluntariism " I'm not asking you to subscribe to me or anything like that just letting you know that I do have a few videos though mine are of a different kind
You've done a great job at making a thorough tutorial! Would you consider making more videos like these? Specifically, various ways to defending your settlements from attacks without relying on settlers. I ask because Fallout 76 is coming out later this year and will include settlements (which we'll be able to pack up and move with the C.A.M.P. device) as well as attacks on settlements.
Glad you liked it! I definitely plan to do plenty of stuff on Fallout 76. I haven't actually played Fallout 4 for quite a while, hence the lack of videos on it. But I'll be jumping in to Fallout 76 for sure.
I am trying to use 3 switches, 2 near one another and one higher up, to control my large traps. I want to make it such that flipping any one of the 3 switches changes the power to the cages that are linked together. I have an AND gate and a NOR gate, with all 3 switches going to AND input, with AND output to NOR input. NOR output goes to the cages. This is not working correctly and I am stumped as to how to get this right. Are these the proper logic gates to be using???
Not sure I understand what you mean. You want it so you can use any of the 3 switches to turn all 3 cages on/off? Why not just have one switch? NOR gates tend to be a bit buggy. You could try passing it through another AND gate first. So output on the first AND gate goes to the input on a second AND gate, then the output on that goes to the input on your NOR gate. Sounds daft, but it's usually how I get NOR gates to work. Some of the gates only work when you pass through another gate first. It's the best I can suggest without testing in-game.
I have an idea for you. Making a hallway with the doors on the left and right which conceal all your lasers. Then put your tripwire in the middle of the hallway. Then when the trip wires activated the door is open and the lasers turn on
nice video.. play with mods? ever thought about doing mod reviews? never been a fan of like gameplay videos(no offense lol) but I like settlement building videos and tutorials like this one.
I do play with mods, though most of them are for settlement building. I'm interested in doing mod reviews, but it's just been a matter of time. Might be something I do once I've finished the let's play. I definitely plan to do more more settlement building videos.
+Lefthandshake yeah I'm a big fan of Modding. got a Xbox specifically for it because PS4 mods well they are a joke in comparison. it's amazing what can be done with mods, entirely new gameplay experiences. and the settlement system is pretty incredible. I'd definitely tune into videos on either of those.
You REALLY have a GREAT voice for tutorials. Incredibly clear and informative.

You are amazing. This is my very first time watching one of your videos and I learned so much.
Thanks a lot!
I used this technique with the buzz saws and tesla archs in one of my raider settlements you're freaking awesome!!
Well done! Thank you for making this video; your tutorials are excellent!
I subscribed I just love tutorials & settlement builds like yours
V4VOLUNTARYISM Thanks! It's been a while since I've done a settlement building vid, but I've got some stuff in the works.

hope you make more of these videos they are very good!
+fabri rivera Thanks! I haven't done much settlement building lately, but I plan to get back into it soon.

Awesome! Hope you make videos about your C.A.M.P builds and defenses! :)
I want to do something similar but use a variety of traps and a few turrets

CyclopsRevolution Good idea! That would be cool.
