I actually don't like his voice that much. It's loud but I still have to turn the volume up to understand it if you know what I mean. But yes, very useful piece of work!
Oh god, one time he stole my power armor, had my rocket launcher, decised he wanted to kill me, somehow carla stole _another_ suit of power armor, somehow the damn cow got aggroed causing all 20 of my settlers to start killing said satan spawn cow, raiders wanted some of that action, and it was just utter chaos.
You’ve obviously gotten a lot of praise for what you’ve learned. I want to thank you for the time you took to learn as well as the time you took to share. You probably won’t see this but you’re appreciated
Cool tip if you cant build more drop a item from your inventory and open workshop go to a item /building you want and press store on the item you dropped and now you can build the structure to pass build limit
pi2dun and also for all the knowledge and going in depth with all the building strategies, methods, and techniques. Outstanding guide. Exceptionally well informative and organized video. I learned a lot. I’m new to Fallout. See, I’m used to Skyrim, where you can build houses in just 3 locations, and can add a maximum of 3 rooms on to the house, with only 3 possible types of rooms for each one. Fallout 4 has exponentially better variety, when it comes to building, and this guide helps to learn much of it in a single video less than a half hour long. I’ll be subscribing now.
Before I watched this video, I was pretty proud of my settlements. I'm off to scrap everything and start over. Fantastic presentation full of immensely, self-kickingly useful hints. Great job!
Dude, I have watched a metric assload of FO4 settlement building videos and these tips you are applying to vanilla only are honestly the best I've seen so far. You're a guru, Jug. Over a million views and 32k subs? Cause this is easily the most useful building video available for any kind of player.
No edits, no music, no sarcastic voice with lame jokes. Straight to the fucking point, thank jesus. One of the best Fallout 4 video guides on youtube today. I subbed
I am speechless. I don't know how you figured out all this stuff since November! I bet the DEVELOPERS have learned stuff from you! I have spents hundreds of hours in the build editor and your tips for snapping pieces and angling pieces to create seeming curves could have saved me a lot of frustration. For example, many of my buildings' upper levels have walls that didn't snap. I would nudge them for hours to get them to line-up. Your methods are better, to say the least. And getting objects to clip by putting them on rugs is particularly ingenious! You, sir, are a master! High praise and respect to you for your lessons and for your well-produced videos! Now, I need to go hit some vendors for some concrete!
Your Fallout 4 Build series is one of the best I've seen. Concise and to the point technique. Smooth camera. No jerky chicken head shots. No distracting changes during demo. No babbling about how cool it is, or intense storyline saga. Just a superior quality guide! Thank you!
I've reached my endgame and finally got around to messing with settlement building. Got a bit obsessed and tried to replicate a vertical Blade Runneresque city block on Spectacle island, which is the only place I can go to town without causing save crashes. What you've done with base assets and without mods or cheats is absolutely amazing. And the sheer amount of info given in just this one video is astounding. Kudos to you sir.
your videos and tricks are awesome, your tips on circular buildings helped alot even for wall defense.,can't wait to see what you come up with next. You definitely gotta fan here..
I thought I rocked the settlement-building world until I watched your work. I loved how you created stairs. Knowing that I can stack generators elevated my settlements to a whole other level. Good job.
I've only just started playing fallout 4, but in VR. This video blows my mind. I never thought any of this would be possible in the game! thanks for the video, awesome stuff.
I know I am quite a bit late to the party, but I just got Fo4 VR a few weeks ago and I've been really enjoying it so far. Here's hoping that we get Fallout 5 soon!
I haven't checked his channel yet as of September 2017 but last time I watched his videos this guy had the most intricate builds I'd seen and all in vanilla. Hey, just wanted to say i think this is an awesome video and is a must watch for anyone planning to get into settlement building, especially on PS4 due to the lack of mod support. I've been enjoying building my own bases\settlements but find the building interface\mechanics extremely clunky and inconsistent for all but the most basic structures. The tips and workarounds you share here have went a long way in removing a LOT of the frustration inherent in building in Fallout 4 and i want to say a major thank you for putting together this video.
Dude - the whole "purified water for caps" trick. Genius. I have been having caps issues and that will save my bacon. Thanks for that AND the 49 other awesome tips! Loving the videos!
Without question, the best guide I’ve seen for construction Fallout 4 settlements and the buildings that make up the settlements. I just wish I’d found this video before I wasted a shit ton of supplies when I started out.
Incredible work. I've been playing the game for ~5 years, rather proud of some of the tricks and workarounds I've learned, you schooled me on a vanilla game. Very nice.
Nice man, it's good to see others builds, and you are 1 of the few Fallout 4 content creators I follow, keep it up! It's a shame you don't have FO4 on PC, the stuff we could build together man.... It'd be unreal :D
+CursingWithCurtis Im subscribed to you and Jug, you both do amazing work. I have used ideas from yours and his videos to make some of my builds. I hope to one day get some vids up. If you have any recommendations for software to help me get started I would greatly appreciate it :)
+Don Evenson You know Jug, he is right. I've made it a point (playing on PC) on my channel to remain completely Mod/Console Command free to help those who are limited to Consoles, and I'm sure you've got 12000x the viewers I get that are super appreciative of this. Though, goodness, I couldn't imagine the awesomeness you could do on PC!
Outstanding video. Very well organized, informative guide to settlement building in Fallout 4. I learned a lot, and all within less than half an hour. I was initially bewildered by all the different types of objects, structures, and accessories this game lets you build. I like how it lets you craft specific pieces or parts and lets you put them wherever you want, at least, for the most part. You can actually customize your own house, as well build an entire settlement. I’m used to Skyrim, where you could build your own house, and customize it to a certain extent, but Fallout 4 just took it to another level. The guy who made this video covers the vast majority of building concepts, strategies, methods, and techniques too. I referred to him in the third person here because I don’t expect, nor do I need or require a response, but this is, by far, the best video I’ve found on building settlements and structures for Fallout 4. Again to the content creator of this video, outstanding guide, and thanks so much if you see this. You deserve more recognition, and way more likes than you have for this video.
I definitely don't have the creativity to make settlements that look remotely good and well put together. this is so impressive and thanks for sharing your tips!
Best tip i can give is if you get good with the brotherhood of steel, they give you vertibird grenasdes! load up on every bit of gear you can! dont worry if you move slowly because you are overloaded, you can carry unlimited amounts. Use the grenade to call a bird! use it to "fast Tavel" you will board the vehicle and it carries you to your destination! with all you can carry it should be easier to establish one solid settlement at a time!
While I don't like the massive monolithic monochromatic concrete slabs, there's a lot to be learned from your building style and this videos packed with great tips. Thanks!
I now know EXACTLY who you are. Thank you for checking out my videos btw. I believe my building credits should go to you because of the rug glitch. I didn't realize but I had seen this video before... and it wasn't until a friend pointed it out that I had to come check out your channel. My apologies.
No apologies necessary. I don't expect any acknowledgement for anything done here. After all, I've learned as much from all of you, as you have from me.
Just wanted to say thanks for the great tips. The water purifier trick is by far the single biggest cap earner I’ve found. I went a little overboard at spectacle island but it churns out tons of purified water that basically gives limitless caps as long as you empty the workshop often
So at around 7:00 you said settlements with more objects have a more constraining size bar. Which settlement has the LEAST permanent objects in it? Awesome vid by the way :)
Thank you for the tips and tricks. The water resource being placed on land is so useful for me since i don't like placing too many objects in my settlements.
I have over 1000hrs in Fallout and love the settlement building and I learned something new in the first 2 minutes of your video! Thanks, very good video!
One more tip from me that people might find useful: you can build stairs all the way up the water tower at Sunshine Tidings, ring the tank at the top with walls and floors and then build outward from there. With the draw distance all the way out, it's a nice view, and also useful for sighting/sniping attackers given how they come at you from low-visibility areas at that location.
On rocket turrets: I've found them to be fun and useful when facing outward from a settlement and carefully placed within an "L" of walls to keep them from firing backwards into my defenders. In most cases other turret types are still preferable, but with the right placement I've got them wiping out many attacks on Starlight before they get anywhere near what I've built. If turrets can't "see" something to shoot, they won't fire in that direction, so they don't blow themselves up either.
Great stuff! I've just recently started poking around online to see what other people have done with the game and your channel is by far the best resource I've found overall. Friendly and professional presentation and I really appreciate the touches such as the bookmarks in the description above.
This is a good tips guide for building. I've watched a few other "tips" videos and learned nothing new. I actually learned some neat new things with your video. Thanks for taking the time to put it together and share it.
There's actually 2 really useful places to acquire a few hundred concrete each time you visit. Irish Pride Industries Shipyard and Vault 114 both give about 16 bags for free.
+Deaf_ Gamer_13 Hello! The bags of concrete are scattered around the construction site in front of the Vault 114 door and as I'm not on right now I'm doing this from memory but Irish Pride is on the right side of the map a little above Bunker Hill (if you have discovered that) if not, go ahead and write back and I'll look what other locations are surrounding it. There are exact guides on UA-cam which show/tell you where they are if you need more help.
+Reece Thompson :-) and did you know that you can get bags of cement in Castle Tunnel near the red light then go right and you will see shelf with 7 bags of cement.
Love ya Jugg, you not only the bomb but you give comprehensive and clear how to's. I'd love to see you delve deep into the electric items in the build menu.
Your videos are very helpful. My settlement building has become much more sophisticated since watching these. Re shipments, I have 10 purifiers set up at Sanctuary Hills, and I just buy all of Carl's inventory whenever she visits. I have tons of materials and a massive surplus of water to sell. I still get confused when making curves though.
#37 fucking bethesda i knew there was something hidden there but i coulndt figure out a way to get up xD thanks man really learned alot from this video :D
I would LOVE to have a job at ANY pay scale. I'm 67 years old with bone cancer, so that pretty much narrows the employment opportunity field for me. Most assume that "gamers" are lazy young ingrates that have no form of income and live with their parents. I suppose that is true in many cases, but I really love RPG video games; partially due to my inability to do much else but mostly because I love the fantasy platform of doing what I can't in "real life". I believe that is the reason most people play video games.

First off, I'd like to just thank you for making an excellent, well shot/demonstrated video of all the things you can do in FO4 (on a console non the less.) I run the game on my XB1 and it can be irritating to find videos with clear explanations and easy to follow guidelines. Second off, you're a very creative builder, I thought some of my settlements were cool, but yours are on an entirely different level. Cool stuff man!
Wow, you've actually got me interested in settlement building! I became frustrated with it almost instantly. Really cool video. One note - I play on a pc and my attempts to replicate your "level" trick inevitably left slight, but obvious incongruities using a mouse, probably because they are much more sensitive to movement than a controller. When I attempted this with a Xbox controller it worked perfectly, first time.
You're the Bob Ross of settlement building: encouraging, informative, and helpful advise delivered through a silky smooth voice. Love the vids.
Lol yes. "now back to the happy settlement"
+The Agent Toast97 Now, were going to make happy homes.
Bob Ross? You mean Bob the builder!
+Universal Gamer no, Bob Ross look it up.
I actually don't like his voice that much. It's loud but I still have to turn the volume up to understand it if you know what I mean. But yes, very useful piece of work!
My favourite part was when you encased Preston in concrete. Let's see him tell us there are more settlements that need help now!
Lol good one!😊
Well, inside the concrete at least it's not raining!
Oh god, one time he stole my power armor, had my rocket launcher, decised he wanted to kill me, somehow carla stole _another_ suit of power armor, somehow the damn cow got aggroed causing all 20 of my settlers to start killing said satan spawn cow, raiders wanted some of that action, and it was just utter chaos.

pi2dun you’re basically saying “thank you for not showing your face”.
Yelling and speaking up or clearly are 2 different things. This guy is basically whispering. It was putting me to sleep.

"wires no long cost copper"
Oh sweet Jesus yes...
Amazing.... i want all my copper back!
+Lord Vivec I was excited about this too. One of my main problems is I would always run out of copper mid build because of the wires.

+Reece Thompson :-) and did you know that you can get bags of cement in Castle Tunnel near the red light then go right and you will see shelf with 7 bags of cement.
I really enjoyed your straight forward, no nonsense approach! I'll watch it again tonight and will be taking notes. Thanks
Bob the Builder ain't got nothing on this.
Love ya Jugg, you not only the bomb but you give comprehensive and clear how to's. I'd love to see you delve deep into the electric items in the build menu.
It sounds like i'm watching "how its made"
Your videos are very helpful. My settlement building has become much more sophisticated since watching these. Re shipments, I have 10 purifiers set up at Sanctuary Hills, and I just buy all of Carl's inventory whenever she visits. I have tons of materials and a massive surplus of water to sell. I still get confused when making curves though.
I came into this video as Jon Snow and came out as Tyrion
Sealing Preston Garvey into a concrete sarcophagus at the end was a nice touch.... Thanks for the extremely helpful vid!!
Your about to see your son, its beautiful, finally connecting with him after so long.
Preston: Got another settlement.
You should make mods for the ps4
Doesn't make any sense
How could anybody dislike this guide? Great job, man!
i one time saw a manikin do a cartwheel i freaked out lol
Legendary mannequin spotted bruh
#37 fucking bethesda i knew there was something hidden there but i coulndt figure out a way to get up xD thanks man really learned alot from this video :D
This is one of the best Fallout 4 building videos! Thank you, even after years I still come back to it for reference.
Falling Cow 4:24
I love the tomb you build at the end for Preston.
I would like to have a dollar for every hour you have played this game!
RonRay You know if you get a minimum wage job you could make that in no time.

Cool story. 100% true.
My jaw dropped several times... stacking turrets and generators? My eternal gratitude dear sir.
Why would anything be different on PS4...? It's the same game.
different hardware some glitches are only on xb or ps or whatnot and won't affect other console's, please consider research js.
14:27 The true way of getting a mountain of caps in fallout 4, got like 200,000+ caps
NEVER BUY FROM CRAZY MYRNA!
She's a synth...
@@RobZfisherman SPOILER ALERT!
I've been a fan since stumbling across your work back before mods. Tristan is dead on, you're the Boss Ross of Fallout 4 building. Amazing stuff!
The storing of weapons to drop the settlement size bar is awesome!
Well done! Most proper professional tutorial-ish video I think ive ever seen.
