This is awesome. As a regular pre-made/bought electrolyte consumer I always wondered about some of the filers in them like excess citric acid, stevia etc. I love the whole food approach and excited to try this out! Thank you!
It’s important to have electrolytes before and after drinking to replenish them because alcohol dehydrates you so, I’d say that’s counterproductive to add alcohol lol but at least you won’t be as hungover I guess.
I am turning 68 in a month, I started using electrolytes in a glass of water every day and I feel so much better. Leg cramps are gone, I sleep better and my stamina has improved. I use Real Salt in my mix along with potassium chloride and magnesium glycine, no sweetener, and it doesn't make my BP go up.
On top of REAL SALT, Actually a cup of coconut water already has rich potassium, calcium, magnesium etc and so we don’t need to add extra potassium etc
I have one suggestion. That solution of citrus juice with water is very acidic and it will demineralize your teeth if you drink it on a regular basis. If you're going to drink that you should drink it with a straw in the back of your mouth so that it has very little contact with your teeth. Don't ask me how I know this, but I know it is a fact.
and also share that magnesium will make you really sleepy.. really really sleepy.. and relax your muscles into noodles.. that's important to know for safety reasons. That drink looks sooo refreshing. I love fresh squeezed beverages.. :))
I believe electrolytes are so important I carry a lot of stress and have for decades and I don’t go to a doctor I just try to fix it myself and I know that if I could just balance my electrolytes and keep them that way I will feel so much better. My problem is I eat really bad because I’m so tired & too stressed to eat right, I think I keep getting adrenal fatigue. Im overweight & it’s a catch 22 -I don’t have energy to eat right or go to the store to get healthy vegetables so I try to get it in a powder mix. lately I have been eating fresh vegetables. You should use dark local honey purchased from a bee keeper. Your store bought honey has been heated to 140-165 degrees to flow through the packaging machines and pasteurize. The nutritional enzymes are killed at 118 degrees. Fall honey is dark and contains much more minerals. If your store bought honey is being sourced from more than one country it looses traceability and is likely cut with GMO corn syrup. Real natural unheated honey will crystalize in just months but will reliquify by placing the jar in hot water or my favorite is place the jar in the Instant pot for 24 hours on yogurt setting witch is 95 degree the same as the hive. Never use the microwave.
So look for local raw unfiltered honey from a local bee keeper. You may find it at the local farmers market or local health food store buying it from a local bee keeper.

Welcome!
I have discovered I have histamine overload for decades which causes nose running, fermented, aged foods, etc when eating certain foods like egg whites, avacado, bone broth, etc.
Ingredient 1 : Coconut water
Exactly!!!
What was the name of the potassium? I couldn’t find the links.
Did you mean magnesium bisglycinate? alimillerrd.com/products/relax-and-regulate
@@naturallynourishedRD no, it sounded like you said light show product. It was the first ingredient that was mentioned for the recipe.
@@nancybushman504 lightshow is a clean electrolyte formula we have linked in the video description
You did luteshow only you displayed a different brand
Thankyou for sharing.
My pleasure!
I try to avoid carbs, can I use whole leaf stevia? I have PCOS and Insulin resistance, I need to avoid all things that spike my blood sugar. Plus I have been using trace Minerals 40,000 volts but the magnesium makes me sleepy. Can't have that during the day. Any suggestions?
Learned a lot thx! And ummm what's the music please ❤️😊?
I have a big problem absorbing water and I’ve been taking water with electrolytes for long and expending a lot of money and I still haven’t feeling myself yet I’ve been using Himalayan salt sometimes Stevia but some of the electrolytes comes flavored just that I am also getting tired of the same flavor
have you tried this recipe?
@@naturallynourishedRD No haven’t try I could drink yellow lemon but not lima is to sour and my stomach a in a delicate situation and I need to be careful what I can drink or eat. So if you give me a different idea I a open to listen and thank you for answering so soon
@@sirenagarrido3836 I think they're confused by what you said. Or maybe they have an unconscious bias against those who's first language is not English.
@@kimcantswim174 I know that can happened but usually some people see my effort and encourage me to continue learning I am 74 years old and still interested in learning new things every day I know that some people are bias nothing you can do about that is their problem no mine and at least I find more positive people than not and sometimes this people have never met anyone from another race or language and they don’t know how to interact and is not their fault I don’t get offended by that I understand I just continue my journey the best I can, thank you o much it’s seems like you understand me better than anyone else
@@sirenagarrido3836 Bless your heart, Sirena. 74 is not that old, not in my book anyway. I think you become old when you stop learning so continue on your journey and keep acquiring new nuggets of information everday. By the way, here's an English word that you might find interesting - Opsimath. It means someone who is late in learning. God bless!
What a great video thank you thank you so much especially that first product. I’ve been looking for something for years without artificial sweetener or Stevia because I’m allergic to it so I drink Pedialyte plain so I’m gonna try there the first sample you gave.
I couldn't hear first product name and it's not listed.
There is also a risk with replacing electrolytes that aren’t deficient. The most severe symptoms can occur with high levels as well.
I drink lemonade/limeade from whole squeezed lemon/lime, and I add stevia instead to cut sugar down
4-5 days a week and one cup a day
Commercial stevia like Truvia is terrible for your gut. Make sure it's stevia leaf extract if you are going to use stevia.
Yeah I make my own, lime juice, apple cider vinegar, pink salt, potassium, 3 types magnesium, in 1 liter water. Drink it all day long.
Linda what types of magnesium please? Thank you.
@@paulaelliott47 first I looked up types of magnesium of which there are many. Then I looked at absorption and benefits of each and chose the ones I wanted to use based on that. I use ...
Magnesium Glycinate
Magnesium Malate
L-Treonine
All the above in powdered form and
Magtein or L- Treonate
these are the same thing and cross the brain barrier. Also the most expensive. The Malate is the one most electrolyte drinks contain. The potassium is also in a powdered/salt like form, Potasium Citrate. You can also use cream of tartar as it is also potassium and doesn't cost as much.
And I always add in Apple cider vinegar and stevia.
Thank you for that helpful post. I really appreciate it.
@@paulaelliott47 your welcome. I've been adding my cooled down cup of Hibiscous tea to the mix lately for a different flavor plus benefits of hibiscus.

Nicely done! Semper Fi
Always!
Well how are you supposed to do your own electrolytes with salt? Also if you have high blood pressure what do you do in that case
If you have high blood pressure, you need to go keto ASAP.
So is this recipe two servings?
Where do we get Relax and Regulate?

Thanks for the info
Any time!
Wow that's eye opening
Thanks!
I have a problem with Stevia and constipation and this magnesium supplement. Am I going to have a problem with the inositol?
My issue is I take hiv meds, that suggests not talking magnesium supplements. I have issues with sleeping. What am I to do ?
What about adding teaspoon of ACV?
What about sugar for keto folks?
There can be different reactions to lime! I can only use a small amount on an avocado! I can't drink it!
It would be instructive to provide a list of the key electrolytes and how much of each the "normal" adult should need. I don't know what country you are in, but in the United States most people get too much salt in their diet courtesy of the food industry.
Agreed. Well said.

No they don't, we don't get too much sodium,we get too little potassium, they need to be inbalance roughly
You are severely ignorant btw

Maybe too much salt. But not the nutrient dense kind. We get too much “bad” salt, if you will?!..❤
What about cutting the lemons and limes in half and boiling them? Would thr heat destroy any of the nutrients?
I'll second that cheers....
Cheers!
