Truly beautiful singing, thank you. Please can we have a pure acoustic album released? Ideally just you and any one of your instruments, played by you, on each track. It'd be great if they could be recorded in the rooms that you so often use, with all their interesting harmonics and nodes. The professionally produced 'recorded in a sound studio' tracks that you've released, are all great, but in my opinion, they've lost some of the sparkle seen here. I've my fingers crossed. 🤗

FIrst Of all, as an old man, I appreciate the fact that someone as young as yourself is singing this beautiful song... I don't want the old songs to die with my generation. Secondly, that was so beautiful. Your voice and playing do it justice.
I can tell you one thing sir, your songs won’t die along with your generation. Those songs will stay with us probably after generation Z dies out as well. I love this type of music and I’m glad that y’all made it, I hope you have a good rest of your life.

Honestly as a cellist the most impressive park is the singing at the same time. The chords are fairly easy but singing along, especially so beautifully, is impressive as hell

I hate to be like this but you pluck the strings (its called pizzicato its very common). She's undeniably very skilled and an incredible musician though. As someone who's been classically trained Laufey is the first modern artist that I actually enjoy listening to :D

I'm a classical composer and I have never seen this type of cello playing in the style of bossa guitar. This is eye-opening. Good job.

@@mikasa3465 The song is a jazz standard, but Laufey is comping on guitar (accompanying) in the style of a bossa nova guitarist. Listen to Stan Getz and João Gilberto's version of The Girl from Ipanema and you'll hear what I mean.

@@JohnDoe-xx8yw I got my full size one for less than $1000 on facebook marketplace, about 8 years ago. I'm a college music student and still play on it to this day. Highly recommend taking somebody with you that knows how to play somewhat well, in order to really hear the natural tendencies of the instrument. Good Luck!

To me, this style kind of sounds like bossa nova, so you could find a playlist of that or check out artists like Astrud Gilberto and Antonio Carlos Jobim. Also, if you're interested in jazz singers, check out Sarah Vaughan and Ella Fitzgerald! They have both recorded some bossa nova songs too.
