I'm currently studying at a conservatory for violin and to have a modern artist that's popular, plays the cello (and is good at it), has respect for orchestral music, writes musically complex works, was likely classically trained or at least has some background, and writes beautiful music; it's a DREAM. My dream came true. Now I don't have to be judged for only appreciating classical music LOL
So talented. This is incredible. Her ability is so far beyond most of what is mainstream today, makes me sad and happy at the same time.

I love how she sang the phrase "so with my best, my very best", not in a completely sinister way, nor carelessly boasting, but carefully, meaningfully, and with acceptance said "with my best, my very best"... too many songs about break up described as ugly or too emotional, but this one is a rare (and much needed imo) well meant post break up song

It’s not really that, just that most of modern music has come away from orchestra and concert band settings along with focusing more on the vocal aspect. So while yes she can play and sing very well, and I for one love it. Laufey sings and lives in a music genre that’s much different than what we have now, or at least what’s currently popular and mainstream. Musical talents come in different forms. Laufey has hers and others theirs. Plenty of good sounds and songs in other genres both today and back then.

I watched her video reels on FB! I've been an instant fan of her songs!
Asked her out and confessed to her and she didn't feel the same way. There's way more to this story but I have been in love with this girl for 4 years and it all came crashing down today. This song reminds me of her and I know this song will keep reminding me of today even in the future. It'll be a while til i can ever move on from the love of my life but it is what it is. Tears are streaming down my face but I don't feel hate, regret or fear towards her. I'll look back on this day as a major learning lesson in my life and the day I lost the love of my life. I discovered Laufey a few days ago and I broke down while listening to this song today. As a guy, I don't really express my negative emotions and find it hard because I know better and I shoudn't wallow in self pity. But this song reminds me of how I should set her free from my mind and simply wish her love. To whoever is reading this, I hope you never go through this emotion of hurt and pain, and I hope you find love.
