As I've been struggling for soooo long trying to figure out what to do with my life and ending up with work resistance as a result of me being so hard on myself to get into doing certain stuff and reading this now I'm literally crying, but thank you sooo much. ❤

Only realised recently why I was feeling so bitter and empty, because I wasn’t acting on the curiosity and ideas my brain feeds me. Past 3 years I followed others advice for my career. To do business, to get marketing skills. But I am only becoming more and more angry at the world. I think it’s because I’m not expressing my self through music.
As someone who is pursuing music because it’s their passion and is only looking into business and marketing now - those experiences certainly weren’t in vain they will serve you very well. All the best on your adventure! 😊

Being able to enjoy the work that you do is invaluable. At some point, it doesn't even feel like work.
Today, I began editing videos for the apprenticeship I just started and had a great time. And I'm always eager to go back the next day. When I got home, I sketched out a whole one-page comic that I was really happy with. Previously, it would take me a few days, because I get distracted easily. I'll be finishing that up and inking it later tomorrow.
That's awesome. I also started editing videos for businesses recently as I'm starting my videography freelancing. It was a lot of fun and didn't feel like work. I enjoyed it and so it went by quickly. Was a huge gratitude check for me. Best of luck w all the work, enjoy!!
I suppress it at night. Every night around 9 pm..... the magical ideas come into my field of awareness..... and I say, go to bed.... we will do it in the morning..... I inspiration is gone by morning. I can't even recall the idea. I waste the gift
yessss I resonate a lot, this too happens to me. What I try to do is journal and write down the things I am feeling in the night so at least I can act on something material in the morning. It will still be a challenge to act w will power but there's no obstacle around that. It just is and we have to confront it, but that only means it is our destiny to finally overcome it

Truly building a genuine relationship with our chosen craft is something that's been on my mind lately. And I completely agree it begins with romanticizing the process. Even if that means taking it slow at first, such that we can ensure we're having fun and become increasingly committed for the epic adventure ahead. All about cultivating that creative spirit! Many times, I avoid what I am obsessed with because I need to get to bed so I can get to work in the morning on time.
It's exactly what you are talking about.. except..... I am blocking it.
After work today, I do that one responsibility I need to do. And then, I do something that I am obsessed with...... photographing nature and finishing that beginners art course I began in 2022.

I really like how you talk about the creative spirit almost as if it is a separate entity. Because it kind of feels like that. Like the overthinking "you" has to step aside to allow the creative "you" to appear and enter into the flow state. Really cool video! I subscribed

YES! This is fantastic. this is all of why im an adventure artist. I love this share and how you shot this video! I'm a musician and artist but it's so hard to find ways to romanticize the process of making that work. Also, i think that what you describe here as "magic" is what Julia Cameron was trying to teach me in the artists way but i kept getting hung up on the language she used. But "magic", thats POWERFUL.

There is something about the process too that some people should also believe, the fact that they have the goal in mind or know what they must do deep down, that is something they should commend themselves for. All the time, I tell myself "no one can unleash your artistic vision and passion like you do, only you." and I think it's something to think about whenever one is losing hope or nervous.
Yes very true, no one else will be able to do this for you. You are seeing what you are seeing for a reason. No one else is seeing the exact vision in your mind. It's a calling and until it is answered, something won't feel right in the soul. We need to embrace it and realize that it's our destiny to pursue it. Like you said, only us. I believe God gives us these visions. It's not something to ignore. It will reward us, in a fulfilling way

yes I get you totally, I was in Florida the other week visiting family and it was difficult to be outside during the day because of the heat, what I tried to do instead was spend as much time outside during sunrise and sunset as I could, as well as short times throughout the day even in heat. Sunset is so nice outside w the breeze
@@tozakfilming hmm, I think thats probably a good idea. Usually I rush to work in the morning, but it’s really nice around sunrise. I’ll take some time to wake up earlier.
It’s usually the most humid then but the temperature is as low as night
