Great video! Been a purple belt for two years and it’s incredible how some of these basic but effective concepts can be ignored by instructors.
Thanks man! Ya the details are often overlooked and often make all the difference. Stoked this one was useful for you 👊
Wow, excelent video. I would like to give a sugestion: How to defend a stack pass, for example after a triangle attempt.
Good ideas , I have this problem from triangle attempts. I’m not big guy and I get stack lots of time
Repummel
Grab the shin, hip escape, and use your arm to hook the leg to prevent them from stacking. They'll either get stuck in triangle or you'll get the sweep and finish triangle from mount
These are the kind of videos that actually improve my BJJ…Concepts first = faster improvement! Thanks Jordan ❤
That's so good to hear. Happy that it's been of help, thank you!
Great stuff as always!!
Your Jiu Jitsu videos on UA-cam are among the best I've seen. You have a remarkable knack for distilling complex systems and concepts into easily digestible information. I always recommend your content to my training partners. Having an understanding of the effort that goes into creating such instructional videos, I genuinely appreciate your dedication. Thank you for your invaluable contributions to the Jiu Jitsu community!
Thank you.
Thinking of starting JJ and your videos are a great way to learn the important concepts.
Love this ! Great concepts and techniques
This is awesome! Thank you!
Always great videos. Thanks
Awesome breakdown!
Professor I was just watching this on your online JJ Theory course! I really appreciate the Q&A after each section to test my retention of the info 🔥🤙
Your vids are the best man! Thank you
Thanks Jordan your students are lucky to have you.
Thanks
great to learn back from basics again
Great Work
Thanks!
👊
Awesome content as always
Ooss from Australia
Excellent - thank you!
My pleasure 👊
Love these videos and this is a great one. I need to knee slice more and control their inside so I have options to possibly unleash more kimuras or head & arm chokes. Thanks Jordan!
Dang!! This video is awesome!! Thanks 🙏🏻 so much
Glad you liked it! 👊
Great vid!
Awesome instructional !
ps- just ordered the Jiu jitsu theory course also. super stoked !
Thanks for the support man! Please let me know how you're enjoying it 👊
This video is so good, thank you!!!
Thanks man! Glad it was of help 🙏
Great explanation!
Your the man Jordan!! Always premium content. I started watching your videos when I first started training as a way to have a edge over other white belts 😂 I’m a blue belt now and you’ve served as an online private for years now
Dude!!! You are an amazing Jiu-Jitsu practitioner and GREAT instructor, because of your UA-cam videos I have become a better jiujitero in every practice, I can even say I'm learning more from you than what I learned in live class at my dojo.
Merçi bcp
PLEASE KEEP GOING the good work you do.
Osss.
thx for sharing
Thanks for video
I am Working on defending knee cut lately
At the risk of sounding like an advert here, your theory course helps me see additional layers to your usual videos. Great work, Jordan!
Haha thank you! I appreciate that a lot. Stoked to hear that it's been so helpful to you! 🙏
This is the best video on this topic. I’ll be referring back to it regularly.
Thank you! 🙂
I need to get myself your theories course!
Great breakdown
Thanks man 🙏👊
Nice. I really like how you are laying down concepts rather than just instructions on moves and that is exactly what I am looking for to further my understanding of BJJ.
Thanks man! Concepts over techniques 🙌
Another awesome video! I would love to see how to defend the arm in weave pass, especially when a very strong opponent is using it against you
Great video! Thank you Jordan! How about making one about defending the over-under pass?
Thanks man! Great suggestion. I'll have more videos such as this one coming in the future. I'll do it 👊
Love it!
Thanks man!
This is really helpful
As per usual, fantastic tutorial
🫸🏼🤛🏼
Thanks man 👊
Awesome!
Thanks 👊
Always learn something 👊
🙏
Really nice video-super high quality, easy to follow, and with an ideal pace. A defense video for double under passing or leg drags would be a nice addition.
Thanks man! Ya those are both great ideas. Gonna have to record them for sure 👊
On top of that over under pass defense
I always enjoy your videos, and I'm loving the fact that I bit the bullet and bought your theory course. As per your request, I'm voting for defending the toreando pass. Thanks again.
Thanks for the support man! I appreciate it big time. And you got it. Seems like a popular choice!
Favourite BJJ channel👊
Thanks man 🙏👊
That’s a saver. I simply couldn’t progress any further without addressing this, I was stuck
Great video. I think I learned how to better execute the knee slide.
Glad it was helpful man!
Thank you.
Hi Jordan! Great video, there's a guy at my gym at always always knee cut passes me, so I'll definitely be putting this to use soon. Also I have a question, I'm starting to work on my guillotines, but I just do not understand the mechanics of them, are they a blood strangle or are they blocking wind pipe/trachea? Which type of guillotine do you recommend I start with? There quite a few!
Goooood.
🙏👊
Solid!
Thanks!
You are magic.
I tries this yesterday against some of the guys in my gym. I'm a 10 month white belt and the two blue belts that outweigh me by over 30 pounds couldn't pass my guard and a black belt had to get through some trouble to pass my guard.
Well done man! Once you learn the concepts, you become a real menace haha
Great stuff as always. Love your NPC voice
Haha thanks!
Hey Jordan what kind of strength training are you doing beside bjj? Would be cool to see your workout routine?
I'm doing a really specific program right now. Once I'm done with it, I'll make a video about it and strength training for BJJ in general :)
Hey Jordan, love your videos! You should roll with Devon larrett. Super humble guy, and would be a great test of your skills against such a unique grappler. Would definitely be a one of kind roll that would be very informative and entertaining!
Thanks man! Ya that would be a great roll. Would love to make it happen!
I'd say.. defending a torreando into leg drag, or a torreando that ends with passer's shoulder into defender's stomach (passer facing defender's legs)
What about your legs during an explosive smash pass from standing. It's very hard to guard as it's so explosive.
💪🏼👊🏼
👊
👊
I'm sorry I was so distracted. Please demonstrate the difference between you saying "leg" vs "lag." It's all I could hear 😩😅
Love your videos, love your content, thanks a million.
Ya I've always had issues with pronunciation and annunciation. Glad you enjoy the videos!
another reason why I believe some schools should do weekly reviews of techniques instead of, oh heres the next move of the week.
Agreed. So many schools don't have the best teaching practices. "move of the day" is so outdated yet still so common.
Sometimes the basic its not so basic, its Pretty important to know
Well said 🙏
Great instruction. You're a good teacher, it seems. Maybe add a little intonation to your narration. It can be a great way to add emphasis to what's important. I know monotone delivery is kind of a trend/style, but it takes away from the experience a bit. All the same, nice work.
Ya in always working in it. I'm naturally very monotone and have trouble reading out loud while being clear + using intonation.
👊🏼
💪🤙🏻
🤜🏻🤛🏻
🙏
Woo been here from the start!!!.. Just sayin'
Thanks for the continued support! 🙏
I would really love to see videos on what to focus in your game given certain circumstances. For example i am really flexible, what advantages can I learn in form of guards passes sweeps etc. and submissions?
Ya it's a good idea. I'll definitely have to make one like that.
algogo
Jordan stop don’t show them this I’m doomed 😭
Haha 😅 Better up your skills lol
Hey Jordan defense is spelt defense. Great video though!
Depends on what country you're from 🙂
@@JordanTeachesJiujitsu I stand corrected, and I learned something new. Cool :)
Love all your vids, and there's so much to learn from this. but one lil critique is that your personality shines more in some of your older videos. More informal script, the occasional joke, occasional flubbed word. I still love that you skip the BS and 3 minute opening monologue, but you could afford to be a touch looser imo!
:)
Wiltse disliked this video 💯💯
Why does this sound like an ai voice of Jordan lmao
Cuz it is
Haha it's not. Still my natural voice lol. But you're the second person saying that, so it's weird 😅
‘Like’ if this made you question how to spell defense.
Haha ya most Americans don't realize that they're the ones spelling it differently than the rest of us 🙂
AI Jordan needs some more learning lol
It's not AI, it's me lol. But you're third person saying that. Not sure why it sounds so AI-ish 😅
@@JordanTeachesJiujitsu exactly what an AI would say....
Toreando pass please mate. 🙏 👊🇦🇺
I'll get it done 👊
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
