Great stuff Professor. We trained together during a trip to NY many years ago at Marcelo’s when we were both still brown belts. You and the rest of Marcelo’s brown belts (Manch, Dillan, Matheus)sent me back to Texas very humbled. I learned a lot on that short trip. I wish you the best.
That’s awesome.. Thank you for watching

Sir, I remembered watching some of your videos before and subscribed and liked this one as soon as it started. I do not regret. This is amazing and hard to find. If possible, in the future I would like to see submissions from top of the knee shield. Oss!
Sounds good from there or I have to pass for submissions or I have to attack the foot if I am in the front of the Knee shield 🙌 tell me what kind of subs you like to see BIG OSS
@@BIGOSS.JIU-JITSU I want to learn kimura, armbar, triangle and omoplata from there or passing. I don't know how to set them up. I am still an amateur. Osss.
love the final one with the knee pin over the ankle. Never seen that one before! 💪
Give a try and let me know..
make sure you trap the hip holding the belt to they don’t hip escape when you pass your knee over the Ankle..
BIG OSS dont forget to Subscribe if works 😉🙌
That last technique is so nice and simple. Love techniques where it's really small movements to set stuff up.

Good stuff man. I think I'm going to spend some time starting from knee shield now. I seem to get caught with this pretty often.
you are not the only one to get stuck there a lot people does... for the person on bottom its their first reactions of guard recover/ defense, (thats why ) if you pass from the knees you are in their knee shield 85%, you need to stands up to pass will help a lot.. thank you for watch BIG OSS
@@BIGOSS.JIU-JITSU yup. I have played with standing up, but that is usually when I get off balanced. Or so much space comes in that they just go right back to reguard.
I'm big and strong but slow and top heavy. Hehe.
But I think your methods are solid, it's not that they don't work for big guys, it's that I just haven't practiced them enough yet. Hehe. It's gonna be some fun coming soon.
And thanks for replying. Big OSS right back atcha!
try to use this one or folding pass will work super strong for you 100% BIG OSS@@eschelar
@@BIGOSS.JIU-JITSU will give it a try. Next time on the mats I think is Sunday.

Great stuff professor! I know you get a lot of requests. I would like to see your guard pull to single leg X like you did in one of you Fight2win matches and finished with a straight ankle lock. Thank you again for providing great content.
Second that
gracias profe, tantos detalles
Big OSS. Could you do a video on guard retention? How to avoid getting into bottom side control.
Cool when you are in your back how they are passing your guard?
Keep it up and thanks for the content!
Commenting to get more people to see this, great jiu jitsu as always
Amazing details professor! What if he anchors his knee with the arm by placing his elbow on the mat?
Great stuff as always

Another great tutorial!
Merci Marcos!
Excellent information, as always. I have a suggestion: lately I've had a ton of trouble stopping the knee cut (or knee slice) pass. I usually play half guard, but opponents are killing me with this pass. What do you do to stop this pass?
this channel js great
Thank you so much BIG OSSS
Muito grato pelas suas explicações em cada detalhes, o bom de tudo é aprender inglês com a técnica de Jiu-jitsu. Sou faixa preta e levo sempre esses ensinamentos para aula e vejo a evolução dos alunos. Obrigado OSS. BRASIL RIO DE JANEIRO MARICÁ ITAIPUAÇU.

Awsome Sensei 👍
Awsome, thank you👍
#4 & 5 🙌
Thanks
Good stuff. I’d love to see you teach some attacks from closed guard chained together based upon reactions of your opponent. Being able to put 5 or so potential attack chains together would be good. Just a thought.

Had a question sir what advice do you have for a short older grappler to do again stronger younger guys to slow them down
I will do a video about that a lot people were asking me. The best I can say is get a hold of their Sleeves that will stop them really well or break the posture with their lapel behind the shoulder .. subscribe to the channel to don’t miss the video
BIG OSS
Appreciate the videos
Great help. Any suggestions to keep away from a Kimora grip while reaching for the shoulder collar grip?
Great instructions! Oss
Thanks on this
For the last one in no gi where should ur hand go instead of collar grip?
🤙🏼 thanks

You’re Amazing brother
BIG OSS THANK YOUUUU🙌
None of these methods the bottom guy has grips, not even a cross collar shoulder control. Would love to see your take on the realistic grip battle (breaking or negating it while attempting these passes)

How to counter when they stand up in your omoplata
Yes! I have this same problem dealing with this when they get their posture back from my oomoplata.
I will do a video cover up that situation can be very trick but the quick I can say is hold their collar between your legs that will prevent yourself from falling and they will feel really heavy to posture.

BIG OSS
In the first example, how do you prevent your opponent from getting the Kimura on the arm you're gripping the collar?
They’ll get a kimura if you let them break the collar grip. If they break it then its best to forget about pressuring the knee until you can free your arm from their sleeve grip and re-establish collar grip.
White belt here 🤙🏼 question is, would any of this work for passing in general?, even though there is no knee shield? Seems like it be effective in other ways for passing.
yes it would work 100%
I friggin HATE being on the other side of this as a new guy.
Oss
Professor question- I tried the back step variation (last technique in the video) and while doing that I got my back step leg caught. I think my opponent saw it coming and he hooked my leg with his ankle. Any guidance on how to prevent getting caught? Big oss!
I think he only way he can take your back maybe if you your hands on the other side like what you see in the video I always post around his back gives me a better control. If you back step and post on the other side looking to his feet you kind expose your back little bit but much. So keep your eyes when you post your hand hold his belt if you can and you will
Be fine BIG OSS
@@BIGOSS.JIU-JITSU Got it! Thank you so much Professor Marcos! Big oss
❤
Great stuff but nowdays when people is showing a technique, they assume too much. Like Kurt Osiander said when a guy is in your guard, you should harass him. With full resistance i doubt that is working. No hate just facts. 🙏
