    I did this, but i cooked the chicken and veggies separately. The veggies and the chicken both need seasonings compatible with the sauce. I used salt, pepper, complete seasoning from badia, tumeric, garlic powder, onion powder, and ginger (with coordinating teryaki sauce). Needs a good dose of olive oil too. Topped with some scallions, and brown rice and ...delicious!

      eddieisfiction Not really, breast meat has less calories in than leg meat due to the lower fat content. That’s not a myth it’s science. Eating keg meat isn’t “more unhealthy” however, you just need to take into consideration the additional calories and saturated fats and maybe cut some out elsewhere in you eating if your really that bothered(which you shouldn’t be)

    • @fayepatrice1672
      @fayepatrice1672 5 років тому +7

      JustGame It’s not as dramatic as you make it sound. A 4oz serving of skinless boneless thighs has 11 more calories than the same amount of skinless boneless breast. Also, dark meat contains more iron, zinc, riboflavin, thiamine, and vitamins B6 and B12. It really is only an issue if you are on a low-fat diet, which has not proven to be superior.

    • @reenajoubert
      @reenajoubert 4 роки тому

      The temperature and time they used overcooks it. 60 second sear on each side + 10 minutes cooking on low heat and 10 more to rest is all a chicken breast needs. (Pound it first so it cooks evenly, or else this'll yield over and underdone parts).

    Just some advice from personal experience: DON'T MAKE TERIYAKI SAUCE WITH HONEY. It tends to overpower everything else in the sauce. I would recommend, for a teriyaki sauce, using soy sauce, rice vinegar, sugar (i prefer dark brown), minced ginger, and if you want, sesame oil. I just guess all of the amounts and taste the sauce every addition to see what I should add next. It works for me.

      I think it would make a great slow cooker meal, and remain nice and moist. I would also use the paprika and garlic powder, and add some chicken broth to the bottom or a cup or two of dark beer. It really enhances the flavor of any long simmering dish, or roasting meals.
