finally some recipes where i can use a whole chicken! I like to buy a whole chicken and then cut it up myself (wings, drumsticks and thighs, breasts and carcass) and use it for different purposes, because it's cheaper that way and i can reduce waste that way. But most recipes call for chicken breast or filet, or the broth (where i use the carcass and wings) - but i barely get anything for the thighs and drumsticks without having to batter/bread and fry them! So thank you

J A Onions and garlic are used to season the oil in the pan which is what 2saleha suggests. You make a a flavor base for your protein or legumes this is something people do with curries and with rice and beans. You let it go for long and it creates a fond, you deglaze it with water or vinegar or wine if you have money.

Not to hard slice up a clove of garlic half an onion and cook them in a bit of oil change then add some tomato paste and crushed peeled tomatoes cook that a bit add basil salt and red pepper flakes simmer and stir for about 30-60 minutes

it does get fast if you prep everything so you have everything ready. keep a trash can close to your chopping and it won't get messy. when you're done with a pan/pot wash it immediately. that way everything goes A LOT faster and more organized :)

We tried the slow cooker honey garlic chicken, 4 hrs on high in the instant pot. It came out a little over cooked (we've never tried slow cooking in the instant pot before), but it was also super sweet. I would probably use 1/4 the amount of honey next time.

Made the first dish and it is indeed delicious. I used way more onion, garlic, and pepper. I also added yellow squash, red pepper, and spinach. At the very end, I added about 2 cups of crushed peanuts. I used a pinch more nutmeg than recommended, and the whole thing was great.

I made the cheesy chicken and broccoli pasta today. A lot of playing it by ear since there are truly no clear instructions. I'm no cooking expert, which is why I often seek quick and easy recipes online. For one, I don't think this recipe requires so much damn liquid (2 cups chicken broth + 3 cups water + 1 cup milk) that is never done and completely overcooks the pasta. I think I'll make the chicken and use no water next time, make the shell pasta separate (undercooking) and then just throw it in with the milk and cheese to melt at the end...thank God the broccoli did not overcook as badly or this would have been a complete waste of food...for this recipe I'm gonna have to go with ooohhhh noooo!!! 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️

Short of time today I made the One Pan Chicken & Veggies. I did chicken breasts, carrots, broccoli and potatoes. It turned out pretty good except for the broccoli, unless you like black crispy broccoli that is. I'll certainly make it again, without the broccoli! Thanks for the recipe.
