Mario Kart 8 - (N64) Rainbow Road w/original music

I've been playing a lot of Mario Kart 8 lately and it got me thinking, what if they used the original N64 Rainbow Road music for the remastered version in Mario Kart 8? How would it fit? and what if it was 3 laps instead of broken into 3 sections? well this is the outcome, I tried to blend the 3 laps as close together as possible.

Part of me wishes that there's an option to turn off the sections of N64 Rainbow Road. I miss the 3 laps for this course.

Tennisbubba13 Other than that, I prefer the Wii U Rainbow Road in Special Cup, the DLC Remake of SNES Rainbow Road, Mario Kart 7 Rainbow Road and Mario Kart Double Dash Rainbow Road more than the remake of N64 Rainbow Road, anyways.

You can't drive on rainbowroad through the fireworks over a bright city with some coin tossing fairy tale steam train beside you and have evil thoughts. This is my absolute favorite track and favorite music!

The remasterization of the Rainbow Road (Version N64) with the original music
For the old fans is the perfect combination (In my case it made in myself nostalgic)
Really I cried for this combination I remember with this soundtrack the hours I past playing in my N64 and I remember my favorite cartoons

Now see Nintendo used to be super faithful when it came to their musical recreations. They didn't really change any instruments or anything, they just made it sound better somehow. I kind of wish they had done that for this game honestly. Don't get me wrong, the full on remixes of the original songs sound really good, but something about just the train horn going by with the original music feels a bit more... magical I guess.

Hmmm, (to personal opinion only) I wish they just went and restored the original musics for the retro courses in MK8 (like they did in MKWII and 7) The original N64 Rainbow Road theme suits the remake of the track well and is better than the remix.
But then again that’s me.

Before this video, I watched the opposite Music swap:
The new music in there original track. I thought it sounded very peculiar.
Why does this music swap (The original music on the new track) sound normal?
„Because of Nostalgia“ would not be a satisfactory answer. I never played the original Mario Kart 64 (only the 8th one). If I did, „Because of Nostalgia“ would've been a very obvious answer.
