Who else falls asleep to these things so they know the audio but haven't seen all of the cartoons?
I started out with the animated series (I'm American and didn't know from Karl Pilkington until some friends showed me the HBO shows), then went back and listened to all the hours of radio shows and podcasts, so it was like a huge treat - all the unheard material. Some of it was familiar but in a rawer form.

Its wierd that Ricky didnt explode there. Dont know why they didnt include that into Ricky Gervais show, its so easy to picture a cartoony bomb going of with manhole cover flying into space, and a milions of people watching it trough the telly being completly surprised.

There was one episode when he mentioned that in the olden days when they had freak shows, they would get a bear drunk and shave it and advertise it to customers as a pig face lady. Not long after I was watching an episode of QI and they were talking about that exact same thing, and if Stephen Fry says it it must be true.

Karl's descriptive powers are incredible. He may have no understanding of how the world works, but he's brilliant at describing his own experiences. I'm only a minute in and he's already described touching Auntie Nora's mole-y back as being like "putting your hand in a bowl of Cocoa Puffs." I'm a writer, and I'm lucky if I get one metaphor that good in a whole week's worth of writing. Karl just tosses them off like nothing.
He’s got more idea of how the real world works that Ricky and Steve with their university degrees in useless bollocks like philosophy

I love listening to these while falling asleep but i find myself having to pause it because rickys laugh is sometimes too loud and karls voice is sometimes not loud enough. but beggers can't be choosers, thanks for the comp!
I joined a similar Christian thing but didn't realise until a few months in.
Every Tuesday and Thursday, I would turn up and play games, we had a few field trips, exploring nature etc. Then slowly each week they started including church visits, it changed from hanging out with your friends to 70% of the time in a church or being told religious stories. Looking back it wasn't dissimilar to being groomed by a cult, they trick you into it. I kept asking my parents questions regarding religion, basically what I was being told didn't make sense, and I stopped going soon after.
Here's a Xmas story that's true one year my mum said oh just get me a few small things so I got her a bic pen a small Brown comb and drawing pins and my step dad I got him a giant car sponge !! HE DIDN'T EVER HAVE A CAR and a shoe polish kit t hats totally true
