Join me as I take on the big apple trying to find some of the best stores and selections of liquor in the city! On this episode we visited Astor Wine and Spirits in Manhattan and I have to say I was very impressed by the selection. Stay tuned for more NYC bourbon hunting videos. Cheers!

Nice thing about Astor is they will ship.
Bowman Products are from VA. BUFFALO TRACE DISTILLATE distilled again in VA and aged in VA. All of their products are Great.
Over 20 years going to Astors and some of my best absolute bottles came from that shop such as multiples bottles of Port Ellen, Brora, rosebank, single barrel Macallan 37yo CS, yamazaki 18, 25, a Caol ila 30, 35yo and many many more. Prices have gone up and the rare ones are big bucks now.
Videos just keep getting better and better! Surprising finding bottles for reasonable prices in NYC!
Thank you so very much!
That Very Old St Nick bottle 18 year are the last of the old Bernheim Distillery Rye' s that were aged at Stitzel Weller and then bottled by Kentucky Bourbon Distillers. That is the same rye distillate as Lenell's Red Hook Rye, original Sazarac 18 Rye, Doug's Green Ink, Bitter Truth, among others. Truly a museum piece. At $10k, just for looking at though. They can keep the Blantons
The James Pepper cost $60 here in SC, I also think it's the best new bourbon that's on the shelf every time I go in a store. The flavors are really impressive
Damn I gotta try this
I picked up a Smoke Wagon Private Barrel from Astor last month!
I see a Bardstown Amrut, look for older Discoveries, I found a series 2 for SRP.
Better hunting in Brooklyn around the Bensonhurst area
Yo around the corner is a distillery the great Jones distillery. It's on great Jones place and Broadway. It's right around the corner there's also another liquor store on Broadway and Astor place !!!!!! Yeah whiskier welcome to New York City !!!!!!!
That Kentucky Spirit was about the same as msrp here in NC. ~$62 and doesn’t show up very often
Hey K nice seeing all those old collector bottles ,,, New York City Just don't buy any Salsa .... LOL Thanks
Nice price on the James E. Pepper --- you should pick it up, especially if its a low digit batch!
Some of the prices were not terrible considering NYC. Really awesome bottle selection. Thanks for doing this video man!
Absolutely! More to come!
oh nice hunt. cheers
If I had hundreds of millions or billions I would most definitely be buying a ton of these bottles in the caes.
nice vid bro. Gonna stop by today to get my pops a nice father day gift 😁
Surprised they weren’t mostly museum prices. Damn, I want one of those James E Pepper Decanter bottles.
Same!!!
The James E Pepper is a banger!
@@Wiskeyer If you don't by a JEP Decanter, I can give you a sample when you get back to COS.
@@bdsrf I’m back let’s do it!
Astor is the best! We went there on a trip to NYC and they had some of the most reasonable prices we saw across the city. What blew our minds was that NYC had all the Michter's allocated NAS releases just sitting on shelves EVERYWHERE for 200 each. Bag check was the only thing keeping us from taking home a bunch of 'em. Great video, my dude!
Thank you so much! Cheers
New riff single barrel rye gotta be a gem
That Kentucky Spirit looked like it was a Camp Nelson. Worth picking up for that price especially if it’s CN-F.
This is fantastic. Great vid!
Thank you! Cheers
Cheers!
NYC is really highly priced. I hope you are doing some distillery stops too. Widow Jane, Kings County, Great Jones. Great Jones is beautiful and has an amazing restaurant too.
So to Answer your Question….If Money Wasn’t a problem only reason I would pay for a dusty would be if it was my Birth Year. Cheers🥃
Great answer! Cheers 🥃
Rare Breed is $60 in South Carolina
Gotta try the Pepper I really enjoy that pour!!
Lfg my boy!
How did you completely gloss over the EW Single Barrel? That's a very good bottle, used to be about $27 before 2020. Then past few years it was KY release only. I think it's starting to be distributed in more states again.
Ah. My bad! "Spoke" too soon!!🤣🤣🤣
@@JM-0712 hahahahaha I was thinking the same thing when I went back to it! Cheers
