I'd suggest a more tactical approach. Instead of chaotically improvising tours for mixed results and the same type of content...this is an ideal opportunity to expand the depth of content.
Do more advance research to ensure youre return first off. Contact locations in advance, see about virtual tours. Also, instead of all the travel...pick spots that have other community appeal and relevance to the history of American whiskey, bourbon, rye and ale.
This way instead of driving twelve hours in a vague direction with many stops for similar content...you minimize travel essentially to a confined area, streamline efficiency, and have the luxury of time to actually EXPERIENCE the places you visit.
I'm gonna keep saying it til you do it lol...come to Sioux City, Iowa. We are equidistant from Omaha and Sioux Falls and are centrally located on I 29 north and south...and just 90 minutes from I 80 east and west. Thus, it actually makes a near ideal spot to hit no matter which direction you're headed around the country.
We have a very unique historical role in Capones prohibition operation, including his personal wine cellar....though mudslides have buried it now. We have a one of a kind bar in "The Whiskey Hole" that would be an ideal setting for a local sampling of only premium and rare bourbon, rye, straight whiskey, etc.
Additionally Sioux City hosts THREE local breweries that dabble in distilling and it's highly likely at the Whiskey Hole you would get inside information on all things bourbon regionally that you otherwise wouldn't know exists.
America is plum full of great communities like Sioux City...and Brewzle could truly take a major leap forward evolving from a novelty booze testing show to a bourbon centered focus on the communities and history of things like Appalachia moonshine, Iowa Corn whiskey, high mountain rye.
Matter of fact if you agree to come to Sioux City I'll even do your research and find ONE community in each state to showcase. This way everyone wins and the entire country can be represented while creating a superior product and brand. Brewzle is more than just booze, and it should reflect that right?
Hi Brewzle thanks for the top about buffalo trace!! But lease try Samuel Joe's Kentucky bourbon reserve.

I love how you are just standing in a liquor store and selling Benchmark to people 😂
Buy as much as you can for the price now
Really hate it!!! I can't find any at my location due to that.
Benchmark is definitely the best cheap whiskey in America
Peak bourbon dad activity lol
@@ItsBoogie. Admittedly I would buy that bourbon if someone told me that as well!
20+ min bourbon hunt videos are perfect! Keep it up Brewzle!
Hey can I come live with you? Please I’m thirsty for milk….
My wife & I love grabbing take out and watching your videos. She has started to gain an interest in whiskey because of you. We both would appreciate longer videos!
Thank you, that means a lot!
You’ve definitely got the best bourbon hunting videos on the net. Entertaining, educational and your interactions with others are fantastic.
Mf really said net
Thanks for stopping by Uncorked!!! Appreciate the mention! Stop back anytime!
No one wants a short Brewzle !
Love your videos TJ
Hey Brewzle, I’m a beer nerd new to this Bourbon’s and whiskey stuff.
You asked how long a beer keeps. It depends on the style. The reason why they are always stouts is because the high ABV helps that preservation as well as it being a style with no aroma or flavoring hops. Those hops would just come out grassy, green and earthy if aged past 3 months. Since there are only bittering hops added in the early part of the boil, those don’t really add as much character outside balancing a malty sweetness.
When talking about that beer specifically. I’d say you could drink it 5 years past it’s born on date, maybe more depending on how you store it. The only real enemy would be oxidation. Storing it upright would limit the exposure and an aged beer with a touch of oxidation isn’t necessarily a bad thing.
I like my aged beers around year 3. I feel like you get a lot more vanilla and cherries, maybe a little oak while still being able to taste the base beer and the bourbon.
I don’t like whiskey but I enjoy seeing your enthusiasm to cover a country the size of yours to find hidden gems , love from 🏴🏴🏴🏴
Don’t change a thing with the videos brother. Great bourbon adventures!
These 15-30min videos are perfect for lulls during the workday. #bottlekill
Was coming in here to comment basically the same thing. I think if they stay within the 15-20 minute window, most people are good with that, and I think UA-cam likes videos that are around the 15 minute range if I remember correctly.
Happy to see you commend the guy earlier on int the liquor store who didn't drink. Very respectful, very thiughtful.
I love these bourbon hunting videos! So cool to get a peek inside liquor stores all over the country.
I like the editing. I like the interaction with other customers while shopping. You are doing great.
Holy cow, $15 for a pour of Weller 12 lol... I need to make a trip to that store just for their sample cabinet lol.
Seriously bro. Here in Buffalo a one ounce pour of Weller 12 is like 45 dollars. Plus you have to tip the bastard.
That first store is nuts. We have Specs down here and there are many of them.
There are a few that have stores like that, most of them are emptied out supermarkets that have been remodeled.
They are huge. I used to get a keg every 2 weeks for my palapa. I don't drink anymore but love your content.
Awesome videos! I can live my bourbon journey through you vicariously.
I always enjoy your content, from hunting and lotteries to barrel picks. I’ve been referencing your videos at my local bourbon club meetings every other month, and I hope my fellow members are starting to check out your videos. I catch myself going on random trips “just to browse” my various local stores for cool new bottles to try. Most recently I’ve found Luckenbach Road (now “1693 Distillery”) it’s a fairly nice Texas bourbon. Might have to join the Patreon for some of those special picks. Much love from Texas!
Great stuff TJ, I very much enjoy the longer format hunting vids, keep 'em coming!
Love the videos and the longer the better when it comes to burbon hunting
Man after watching this and living in Cincy it shows me my bourbon hunting experience is the same. Ohio does a state raffle on most rare allocated whiskeys and Kentucky most stores ask over secondary.
15-20 min is perfect. And I loved when you were giving recommendations to other people. Very fun addition. I think it could get old because you would probably give similar recommendations to many people.
Cheers Brewzie, for me this is like being on holiday & it helps decide if some US Bourbon is overpriced just because it crossed the pond in a Tote.
Glad to see you FINALLY made it to Northern Kentucky to hunt. You hit the big ones like The Party Source and Uncorked, but there are other great stores in the area as well. You could do a weekend trip and hit New Riff, Boone County, Northside Distillery, Wenzel Whiskey, and finish off by hitting Revival Vintage Spirits Shop, CHEERS!
I saw that they had a bunch of the Boon County Bourbon on the shelf. They make a bottle that is outstanding if you can find it. It was a limited run with the Dalton Winery and they aged their bourbon in the Dalton Winery casks. Absolutely amazing.
Just keep doing what yer doing Broozle
Really enjoy your videos. They could be longer and I wouldn't be mad about that! Thanks for what you do
Brand new to your channel. New to bourbon. Loving the content. Already joined the membership
Great vid and not too long. I’ve done a few bourbon hunting road trips and the interactions with the proprietors and other shoppers is the best part.
Love all of your content!! Truly enjoy watching you hunt all over America!
Wait, 2XO for $57?!!! Dang that's a good buy.
Pretty sure if you look at the tags on the shelf if was $99, think he might’ve overlooked it. Could be wrong though, that’d be the best price anyone’s ever gotten for it lol.
That 2xo is $99 everywhere I see
I think he was mistaken based on scrubbing back and looking at the tag.
Ok that makes more sense@@wood2040
What I’m saying, I’d get a whole case at that price 😂
Should go to Jungle Jim’s grocery store in Cincy, it’s got a huge alcohol selection and the store is quite the experience. Food and drinks from all around the world.
Plus you can drink craft beer and shop for groceries at the same time, ask me how I know
Good call on getting the two releases of the Bourbon County Brand Stout. Not only is each expression unique, but age in bottle softens the hops and highlights the malty notes. They're good for at least five years in the bottle. Vertical tastings of the mm at different ages are a lot of fun.
Length of the videos are good. Always a blast going shopping around and informative as a newbie!
That Dexter is good! I have a bottle of theirs I cracked open and currently really enjoying it! I would say these style videos are my favorite! Keep up the good work!
A new Brewzle hunt video! Woot! Happy Friday!
honestly - great pacing, great commentary and I love that you take the time to talk to other people and see what they like. Great content!
As a young veteran who misses ole Dixie your videos make me feel like home partner
Trying a bottle or two at the end is the best, really liked that addition.
LOOOOOOOOONGER! Love the buying videos because it shows me how awful and overpriced my local stores are.
Bud, try watching these awesome bourbon hunting videos while living in Canada. Sad times for me
Big ups to longer!!!!!!!!!!! Lets me narrow down my choices next time I head out.
@@michaelkorn6766 Same! Ontario is horrible for it makes me miss living in Alberta
Appreciate your videos! I'm a huge Barrel aged stouts, and the bourbon county stouts are consistently excellent and relatively cheap.
#BottleKill
Length is arguably perfect Brewz. We wouldn't be disappointed with even longer tbh, always a great and entertaining watch and hunt with you.
Buffalo Trace for $25 when you cant even get it in Austin anywhere and its over $70. Travesty.
Buffalo Trace isn’t readily available in Kansas. But when I find it, they’ll sell it for MSRP.
It is good for 29 or less. I love it but not paying more than it’s worth.
Love the videos!! The length is great but the 30-40 mins are my favorites!
I love these videos. Your channel got me started on my American Whiskey crusade. I put more weight on your pallet than any other Whiskey channel. Thank you. As a Scotsman I understand your concern about Scottish Whisky. The reality is it’s no longer for normal consumption. You guys have seen the market moves with Blantons, Stagg etc. imagine that market but add 100 years or so of interest. I’m sure there are exceptions but a Scottish Single Malt needs to be at least 18 years old to be worth trying and those are prohibitively expensive. I’d recommend Speyside Whisky as a good entry point as they tend to be more delicate. Avoid peated Whisky, if you don’t like Oak, you’ll hate peat. All the best and keep doing what you are doing.
You are the most genuine and relatable whiskey drinker creating great content.
I think the length of these videos is great. Really enjoy your bourbon hunting videos.
#bottlekill Perfect time for these hunts. Keep it up
I love long videos and the testing at the end is awesome, I love knowing immediately what you think.
I watched a video of you earlier today and saw somehow the Talladega video didnt do well. It was one of my favorite did you upload shorts of it? I dont really wetch shorts but just an idea on how many to get some more traction on it. Keep up the good work brewzel you really make my day better
fun hunting videos. thanks for taking us on the journey. cheers
If I had a bottle of bourbon for every time TJ said he's gonna be selective, I might have as many bottles as TJ.
We really need a super cut
#bottlekill Keep doing what you're doing Brewzle!
You should really make a compilation of your interactions with customers on these trips where you discuss bourbons/drinks. Would be a cool mini series.
Great job with your video dude! Love the way you helped the fellas looking to buy something new as well. 🍻🥃
That was awesome how you helped those folks with some solid picks and knowledge.
As i say every time you ask how the videos are. They’re perfect. I love it!
I was also hooked into the Dexter comments on the bottle when I bought one like you did, and I was not impressed. FYI, glad to see you’re in Northern Kentucky where I live. It was so cool to see you go into some of the stores I have never been into. Good luck in your travels.
Honestly it has always been on my bucket list to meet Brewzle. I don't have any friends and especially not anyone who likes or even drinks bourbon. I live in a bubble when it comes to whiskey hunting and it's always so disappointing when I find one I really enjoy I don't get to share it with anyone.
I recently had some people over and was trying to explain my collection and samplings to others, but they could have cared less 😂. After a few pours, they didn't notice the difference between a $200 bottle to a el cheapo $25 bottle.
Good length. Always enjoy these hunting videos.
11:25 11:27 yo, thunder cheeks should have grabbed that gladden! Their 2016 is off the hook. They were named best distillery outside of kentucky a few years ago.... some of their stuff is the best bourbon I have ever had.
My wife and I went to Party Source about a month ago and it was almost overwhelming how big their bourbon section was.
Good luck and safe travels! Excited for you to come through KC, I’m new to the bourbon game so I haven’t checked many stores out but I’ve been wanting to see a video in my area. Can’t promise it would be great hunting tho we don’t get much of the allocated stuff, so I won’t be offended if it doesn’t get a vid lol.
Great video! The next time you are in the Cincinnati area, lmk - happy to show you around
I always stop at The Party Source on my trips through Indiana to KY. The Owner of New Riff was the owner of The Party Source. He had to sell the liquor store to open up the Distillery by KY law. They usually have a huge selection of store picks. Innskeeper Blend is $99 everywhere and you got it for $57. I just picked up the 2XO Tribute Blend. It blows the Phoenix Blend and Innskeeper Blend out of the water. 🥃
Craft IPA and BA Stout fan here, Im just starting to learn more about Bourbon and Whiskey. Was glad to see you spot and respect the Goose Island Bourbon County! Craft Stout snobs and I agree that GI BC is the best bang-for-the-buck BA Stout out there. About 90% as good as some of the bottles that go for hundreds.
Not sure if you're familiar with the GI BC variants, but they come out every Black Friday and are usually very saught-after.
As far as a whiskey reccomendation, Id love to see your take on both Creek Water Whiskey and Blackened Whiskey! Cheers.
If & when you come back through Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky; here’s some places to stop along with The Party Source, Uncorked & New Riff… Bluegrass Liquor Store; Liquor Barn in Fort Thomas. Bars that sell some bottles… Revival Vintage Spirits (dusty bottles); Rich’s Proper, Old Kentucky Bourbon bar (all have Facebook pages to check out recent bottle additions especially Private barrel picks). And near MGP in Lawrenceburg, IN; Whitey’s they have several private barrel picks you can sample before you buy.
Minnesota is a hidden gem for hunting. Bookers in almost every store I visited while I was there.
Fun video to watch. I’ve probably been to all those stores in my hunts from Kentucky to Michigan
I dont currently drink, but when I did I was a beer guy. And I loved that Bourbon Stout. I remember when those where hard to find.
I don't drink that much liquor cause i'm dumb i just drink everything that has been poured in front of me. But watching all the hunts is the most interesting and fun videos i've ever watched it never gets boring and seeing B-Boss advise people on ehat liquor to buy is amazing. Big props to this series i need more alot more
I think right around the 20min mark is perfect for each video. Keep up the great work!
Big thumbs up for Brewzle hunting in my city of Bellevue, KY. Cool seeing you in stores I've been to before.
Oh man, I wouldn't have been able to resist that Woodford Double Oaked store pick. Only had the regular, and I freaking love it,
Didn’t know Ragged branch was good I’m in Virginia and I got the last John Bowman within 100 miles, definitely going to pick up ragged branch
Honestly, the longer the better! Makes me feel like I'm traveling w ya.
Lived in Covington Ky. Across the river. Spent hours at the party source. Amazing store.
My local store just started selling pours out of a machine and I friggin love it. Have a couple Taylors and Blantons and Bombergers in there.
When you come to my great state of South Dakota. Sioux Falls has some great stores JJs and Williquors. Or Yankton has Liquor Hot Spot they usually have some cool stuff.
We live about 5 miles from the Covington Liquor stores you were visiting. I was unaware about Benchmark being a Buffalo Trace Product, I'll give it a try. Great videos.
Just keep doin what you're doin TJ. Really enjoy the vids. Live streams, barrel pick vids to show the process AND all the hunting vids. Thanks for all of it.
Been to Uncorked several times. Worth being in the program! A few bottles are always out of reach but nevertheless I’ve gotten some nice picks. Love your videos! Cheers 🥃
If you ever end back up in Ohio, go to High Bank Distillery and pick up a bottle of Whiskey War Barrel Proof. It’s a blended whiskey but has a high rye bourbon mash bill. Gives off big salted pretzel and buttery caramel notes. Definitely one of my top 5 go-to’s.
Agreed, the pricing on those pours is phenomenal!
Those liqour barns in covington are hidden gems, ive see Old carter, Woodford BP, all the BT products, HH specials, you name it
Love that Party Source is in there. And New Riff shares the parking lot.
If you are driving through Minnesota, if you like beer and wine, I highly recommend taking a detour and go to Schell's brewery and Morgan Creek Vineyard!
The party source is my favorite liquor store. I was amazed at the bourbon selection when I stepped in there about 20 years ago. Too bad I stopped drinking.
While you were in Newport, KY. Newberry Brothers Coffee and Bourbon bar is an amazing place. Only open on Friday and Saturday though. Worth a look.
I kind of like a walk. Very informative.
My girlfriends father got me into bourbon and the first bottle he gifted me was that Dexter. I love it!
Nice to see Woodinville Whiskey on the shelves in other states now. It’s such awesome whiskey
Too funny! I had almost the same exact conversation with someone about Benchmark at a store a couple weeks ago. Same result, they picked up a bottle to try.
First video of yours I've watched. Personally not much of a drinker myself in terms of volume but I love bourbon every so often. Buffalo Trace is my go to and now I'm on the lookout for benchmark, thanks to you.
If you ever have the opportunity to hit a "Total Wine and More" do so, quite the big box booze experience.
Cheers!
14:30 left side of screen, left of the row of JD bottles; That EJ Curley Single Barrel is absolutely delicious and only available in KY. Aside from the bottle of Michters I got to fill myself at the Fort Nelson distillery, the EJ Curley SB was my favorite bottle from our recent trip to Louisville. Cheers!🥃
Great show. And stayed for the pour!
Makes sense Party Source was the biggest Liquor Store that you have seen. Largest Liquor Store in the country. Love that place!
I'm a new follower. I'm really enjoying your hunts. I live in California so definitely not finding the same selection but it's good to learn what's out in the wild
These hunt videos are awesome! Length is great. Could be a bit longer, but not “just because” only if you had a reason for it.
I live in NKY. Another big store is Party Town in Florence KY. It's not as big as Party Source but worth a visit I'd say. Also, the highest grossing liquor store for bourbon in the USA is the Costco also in Florence. You don't have to be a Costco member to shop in the liquor store (or the pharmacy). Safe travels.
was just at party source last Saturday got a few nice bottles! Followed by a trip to bobby Mackey's bar!
