- I wanted to evaluate my shelves, see how many books I own, and see how many of them are unread. conclusion: I need to read more of my physical TBR.

@@carmenjanae Ok, so I counted 375, not including my collection of Bibles and resource books. That would probably be an additional 30-40. I was guessing 500, so I have given myself permission to collect more! 😂 This was a fun experiment! 😃

I attempted to learn Italian a couple years ago. I enjoyed it more then the other languages I tried to learn.
I play the ukulele. Well, I'm a bit rusty now, since the guitar is more my thing, but it was really fun and I want to get back into it
I just think Italian is so beautiful. I love all things Italian honestly 😆 and I took Spanish in high school and both languages are fairly similar so I figured it might be a bit easier to learn the language … but it also gets confusing sometimes 😂

@@carmenjanae I buy books from different countries, too. Just never know when you may need shorthand in your daily routine. 😁 But it's fun to be aware these skills are even a thing. Have you visited Italy? Even better than your wildest dreams. Please go if you haven't.

Just think about like this.. firstly you need 1,000 books to have a library supposedly… and most of the books you buy are used so your not even paying full price!!! Which is the way to go!!! And you read a lot so if you stopped r buying you’d run out eventually!

We have a bookshelf in our bedroom which contains mostly Christian nonfiction. I consider it "my husband's bookcase" even tho it's both of our books and I don't count those at all. It's the other books I only want to keep my favs of and I'm working on lowering my owned unread books.
Yes, like I said I love how she analyzes books … but yes, I also use her had a radar for books not to read 😂
@@Thecatladybooknook_PennyD my husband also has a separate shelf with books on politics and sports 😂 so I don’t count those in my collection either!

According to my Notion where I *think* I have everything logged my total number of books is 658. 🫢🤣 I’ve gotten rid of books since this video and also got more. 🤣 my current unread number is 340. 🫢

We have tarantulas in CO too and I think that’s my biggest fear that one day I’ll find one of those in the house 😭
