@@AshlynnCalee just subbed, and i rarely see men booktubers; so its nice he's natural booktuber!!! i hope for more men booktubers, but... i agree this needs to be a series!!!
I feel like your husband would LOVE priory of the orange tree!! It’s 800 pages but honestly doesn’t feel that long cause you get so immersed in the world and the stories of the 4 pov’s.
oh my god, i'm obsessed!!!! this was soooo cute, please make this a series! it was so cute that you really liked his recommendation and vice versa. it's nice because you discovered many good books that you said yourself you would keep pushing it to not read it lol
Swapping 26 minutes of my time with one Ashlynn video. Review: This is my first video I've ever seen of yours, thank you UA-cam algorithm, and I have a lot to say. You? Immaculate, sweet, passionate. Your voice is so great, I could genuinely see you being a voice actress. It's very airy, gives off a lot of emotion, makes me excited alongside you. Your Husband? Immaculate, sweet, passionate. An INCREDIBLE beard, I couldn't go on without mentioning that. I was shocked in finding out most of your videos feature only you. He has such a natural way about being on camera. I think a lot of this is helped by your chemistry. You two are adorable, and I now have a new goal in life to find a partner/dear friend who would trade books with me like this. I loved your willingness to try out things you had never planned on reading, or had put off for so long. You balance each other shockingly well, both have insightful things to say about what you've read, and the video would not be the same if it was only one of you. Not because of the video concept itself, but because of how much presence you both have. I'll say it again, IMMACULATE. Also, as an added bonus, I now have a handful of books I'm interested in picking up! I really hope you do this again, I'd watch another video like this in a heartbeat.
I haven’t seen much make book tubers, but I would definitely watch him! He’s so passionate about the books. And this video of you guys together was so good. First video I’ve seen from you but I just subbed! 😊
I LOVED this video so much!! I think I smiled the whole time watching this!! Love when he joins your videos!! But now I want to read both of your 5 star books!!
Y'all are so cute!! And definitely adding Alias Grace to my tbr :D I feel so valid when you cried at Red Rising because I sobbed like what is happening? A book has never done this to me before haha
Six of crows is so good I'm glad he loved it! Crooked Kingdom is going to break his heart! I'll definitely need his reaction to that or hear his thoughts about the book. Also now you've convinced me to read red rising. It sounds so intriguing😇
Your video popped up on my feed and I watched it and instantly subscribed after watching. Great video and you guys definitely should do more like this. I LOVE when guys read. I always love when my hubby reads with me.
I LOVE alias grace. I read it in high school and it taught me why i love unreliable narrators as a theme. The whole book keeps you guessing until the end.
Great video! Loved everything about it. You and your husband are great together on camera. The way he looks at you is so sweet and he has a great camera presence. You should definitely keep doing videos like this.
I got into Red Rising through the dramatized adaptation produced by Graphic Audio. It was so well done. I have to finish Morning Star but I usually struggle to finish a third book in a trilogy. I've heard good things! Glad you enjoyed a couple of the books! The book by Atwood sounds really interesting!
This is the first video I saw from your channel and I liked it very much! I liked the way you two interact, and I loved the recommendations you gave each other. I now have lots of new books on my TBR 😅
i’ve just sent this video to 4 of my friends telling them they need to watch this. you guys are the cutest ever and i’ve never been to in love with a video in such a long time!
Thank you two for making such a wholesome video! I’d love to do this someday, this is great, so glad you guys are enjoying the hobbit, it’s great, the illustrated hardcover is a great edition to get too! One romance I’d recommend if you guys read manga is “horimiya” which I love so much, the first 3 volumes explain the main premise of the series 😊
Y'all are adorable. Some of these were on my list so i had to skip some so as not to spoil it for myself but i thought this was great. Im hoping to get my hubs into reading
7 minutes in- I LOVED THE SHADOW OF WHAT WAS. its such a fun journey. 25 mins: i am so glad you liked it! i've heard some mixed reviews but im glad to find someone who liked it as much as i did :)
I just finished my umpteenth reread of The Hobbit and I'm so glad to see you loved it even though you were hesitant going in! It's such a great, cozy book. If you haven't read it yet, The Wind in the Willows has similar vibes, except WitW is full on cottage core 🤭
I haven't come across your channel before but now I'm definitely subscribed! I love the way you both talk about books- and I have now been convinced to actually read the shadow of what was lost (it's been sitting on my shelf for like 2 years)
I just subscribed , you and your husband are entertaining and explain the books very well . I think I will check out some of the books mentioned here .
I enjoyed this video, but when I saw the work "swapping" I was under the impression that you would give him your books to read and he would give you his books to read. That would have been cool too.
I loved this video so much!! You both are the perfect combination of my book taste! This was so entertaining and you both are so fun to watch :) I’ve been watching your other videos too after watching this one and I’m so glad I found this channel ❤ love your videos Ashlynn
I'm so in love with how you both loved the books chosen by the other 🥹 like there was no complaining or disappointment. that's how you know you know eachother
Ooookkk why have you not popped up on my feed till now?!?? I think I could be best friends with your husband!! Just in case he is in the market for new best friend I’ll just be over here rereading red rising
I absolutely loved this! You guys should totally make this a series. I love you two together. I’m so glad your husband loved Six of Crows. I loved that book too. Even more so than Crooked Kingdom. I also have Red Rising but haven’t read it yet. The way you talk about it makes me want to read it.
Yes Yes Yes ❤❤❤ loved it 5 out 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩 love how you all compliment each other in the different reads. Booth if you all are open minded to try each other differently book reads and just love how E description of each book so refreshing as always really enjoyed your content ❤
Watching you read Red Rising and knowing it's heartbreaking just a few chapters in 🥺 I cried too. Also, Bilbo is the goat. The Hobbit is one of my faves of all time, so glad you read it!
I just subbed and this needs to be a series also your husband is such a good booktoker that he should start his own channel or do more collabs with you. ❤
Marie and I have fallen in love with the two of you. You are like us, when we were young. Marie has her genres that she reads, and I have my genres that I read, and every once in a while, we get the other to read from what we love. It's so much fun watching your journeys. I can say, that it has been one of the best things in our 25 year marriage, and when we were dating. We both read about 300+ books a year, so we are always near each other...reading. Then we share our love/hates/frustrations/joys with what we've just read. Marie love Horror, Romance, Historical Fiction, Memoirs/Biographies and I love Science Fiction, Fantasy, Historical Fiction, Thrillers/Military/Crime, Memooirs, and Lite Romance. She has tried other books/series...and it hasn't gone well (which is okay). I've tried to get her to read my favourite series, like The Wheel of Time (which I've read nine times), Mistborn and Stomelight Archive (and the entire Cosmere), but she hasn't read ANY of them, but she has read some Fantasy, but they are now called "Romantasy" and other books. Thank you for this video. Like so many of your videos...we are having fun watching your joureny. Thank you.
Unpopular opinion but Six of Crows was just ok, while it was better written then the initial Grishaverse trilogy just by way of having developed more as an author by the time she wrote it I think the story of the trilogy is better than Six of Crows. I did think Crooked Kingdom was a step up from it though and on par or maybe even a little better the the trilogy.
I am glad this popped up on my UA-cam homepage. A great video! You guys should do more together. I'll have to check out some more videos of yours! Also I am very glad that you read The Hobbit! I am glad this popped up on my UA-cam homepage. A great video! You guys should do more together. I'll have to check out some more videos of yours! Also I am very glad that you read The Hobbit! I can see how it is intimidating to actually start. I was in high school when the original Lord of the Rings movies were out, so we actually read The Hobbit as an english class in grade 11. We also read The Fellowship of the Ring in grade 12 english, then my teacher actually took our class to see the last movie in theatres around Christmas 2003.
