- Feels weird calling my work "amazing" but the UA-cam algorithm seems to really like that word, so here we have an AMAZING black bear carving haha! I have been working on making my carvings look more natural with their positioning, happy with how this one turned out!

Great work on this bear. These shorter videos are perfect to watch with my 1 year old daughter. Just long enough to hold her attention before she's off to play with something else. Keep up the great work!
Hahaha glad to hear! Thank you so much 🫶🏼
Makes it fun Tay when the camera i# on the subject especially when it comes to the dye grinder working away and the carve comes to life as you done with the bear! I like it a lot
I love getting to the hand tools! You watch the carvings come to life just like you said!
Really like the way you have him (or her) looking over there shoulder. Thanks for sharing.
Turned necks/heads add so much movement to the piece, makes the carving feel less rigid!
That’s AMAZING! I know someone else that says AMAZING a lot. That little bear is AMAZING!!! I love your new orange saws! Their AMAZING! Got to get me that little 2511P soon. Hehe! Thanks Tay a cute vlog 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻!
Haha you definitely take the crown for the word “amazing” 😂😂😂 Thank you Larry!

Very nice Tay getting better and better. Good luck with the new saws
Thank you 😊
Very nice black bear👍💪🍀🏅🇸🇰
Your bear carving is the best in details so far I've seen. Good job.
I appreciate that! ☺️
While I was sitting out at the fire pit a min ago, watching this one, I had an idea for you. 2, 3-4 foot tall bears. Totem style. One standing on the paws of another. Holding him up. While the one on top is reaching up and holding a beehive. Thought that'd be right up your alley of cuteness. Sure someone would love to have it under a tree in their front yard or front porch.
That would be adorable! I think I have seen a mini version of this idea but can’t remember who carved it! Would be super cute!
Nice to see you back Tay! Great bears! good to see you talking about the new saws to! ;)
So far I’m very happy with them! I do really want a 261c though, that’s they next on the list lol!
Excellent! how good is the mini one? the 261c? is that a 60cc chainsaw?@@TayMarie23
@@alid8646 The mini one as in the 2511? If so, I LOVE IT! Its so light and tiny, like carving with a pencil now that I have the 8" dime tip on it! And the Stihl 261c is just a favorite of most of my carving friends, it's a 50.2cc saw. Supposed to be a killer block out saw. Its a pro saw so its not cheap but from what I hear its worth every penny! Might be my Christmas present to myself lol :)
@@TayMarie23 yeah the 2511 im never any good at remembering model numbers..ha. Excellent! been always tempted to get it, just the cost putting me off and not essential.. ha. Ah its a stihl, i was thinking echo, i know what you mean! Good idea, or you could give hints to your boyf to get you the saw for Christmas! 😁
The bear turned out great! I like the pose you chose for the bear!
Went for an inquisitive look/pose haha! This one turned out cute 😁
I love my 2511 have 2 and the 361p is awesome for detailing, but very nice bear! Congratulations
So far I’m loving the 2511 with 8” dime tip bar, feels like I’m carving with a pencil!
@@TayMarie23 I’ve switch mainly to echo because the start right up, but I still use a few Stihl s, and husky’s. But echo is my go to. Very reliable!
Love ❤️ it
That is one of the BEST chainsaw carved bears I have ever seen. I'm not a fan of them because they all look to blocky to me. Yours on the other hand is amazing. Great job!
Oh there is definitely better! Some of the carvers I follow can make a hyper realism bear, it’s unreal! But I appreciate your compliment all the same! Working to get better with each carve :)
Beautiful bear your awesome Tay
Thank you ☺️
Very nice. Fun carve. Enjoy
i give a 10 out of 10 for this cute bear. great job right here.
I appreciate the high rating, thank you!!! I’m a hard critique of my work so I won’t tell you what I rate this one at lol! 😂
I love my 4910 echo saw for carving Works circles around the ms 250. Only gripe is the fact that the sprocket has a nut on it instead of a clip for easy bar change.
Amazing work by the way!
I believe the 501p has an exterior mount sprocket but the 2511p has the interior mount, had to use my neighbors impact driver to switch it over to 1/4 pitch. Definitely prefer the exterior sprockets with e clips but it’s easy enough to change the interior ones if you have the right tool!
Excellent!!
Really nice 👍
The look in your eyes when flame throwing a bear.
What a cutie 🐻 Quick question: do you use the eyeball bit on the die grinder? I’ve been debating getting one. Thanks!
Yes manpa eye cutters on the die grinder then chisels to shape the eye and lids :)
GREAR JOB AS ALWAYS
Thank you 😊 😁
@@TayMarie23 can we talk sometime about carving I would like to talk with you if that would be ok with you
Real sweet little guy, looks like was caught in the berry patch, great job as usual, he would look good talking at his little sloth buddy. My favorite🦥
Hahaha! He looks surprised, it was a fun position to carve!
Sweet 2511P! Just needs a nice 12" carving bar. How do you paint the face? Brush? Airbrush?
I have an 8” dime on it now, just didn’t have it for this video! Love it! And for faces and bodies it’s just a rattle can, then I hand pint the eyes, I need to get an airbrush though!
@@TayMarie23 If you can do it all with a rattle can then you are better off. Airbrush in a dusty work space is hard to use. It clogs up on dust and thinning the paint is a pain in the butt. But rattle can has overspray and lacks precision that makes it hard to do detail like the bear face. Looks like you managed to do it nicely without overspray thou.
A pro tip that someone gave me once is to use wood stain in an airbrush instead of paint. It requires no thinning and you dont even have to clean the airbrush after (or so I'm told).
Nice work as always.

I love your bear faces… would you consider a tutorial? Please😁
I plan to do a bear tutorial in the near further! I mostly do custom order work so maybe I’ll do a tutorial on the next simple bear order I get :)
