One word of advice regarding that orange sticker... Take it out from beneath the lighter and lay it on top of everything else. Basically move it up so that it's touching the lid of the box on the inside, if you are really inclined to keep that thing. Last year when the first batch of 2022 copper lighters came out I bought 5 of them. Back then all I did was remove the flint and replaced it with a small bright green piece of plastic, so I can clearly see that it doesn't have a flint and people won't be able to just strike against the brass spring tip. Anyway, I just decided to pull one out, to examine if any patina was happening despite my care. What I found was on the back side of the lighter, the sticker STILL managed to leave residue on the lighter. That's right, the orange sticker facing up left a "ring" of sticker residue exactly in the shape of the sticker on the back of the copper lighter. It happened to all 5 of them. With enough Time the sticker adhesive is "bleeding out" and manages to leave an impression. If this was a normal box I'm sure you'd probably use one of those little plastic bags to protect it because it's a glossy lighter, but with the display style box that isn't really possible. Just do yourself that big favor for the long run. At the very least move that sticker away so that it's not making anything you don't want to risk it leaving a mark. I really should go post a picture on Reddit and Facebook as a cautionary tale.
Another great presentation Jon, it really looks great, after me going yes no yes no , I got my arm twisted by a Tasmanian Devil, who showed me the way 😅😅😅 to get it from the States at an alright price too.
Good morning Jon. Yep, Zippo nailed it with this COTY. I currently have the USA version with the UK version coming my way at some point I believe. The whole package here is well worth the money, especially at the USA version price. I hope going forward that Zippo just produce the one version from USA at a sensible price. Tracking down three versions as you say is costly and for the sake of a different coloured crystal not worth it in my opinion.
How did you do that? I have the European and American variant but I am not able to buy the Asian type because I have no family members of there and they don’t ship over sea😢
@@JRO_Lights I’m in the uk where it is £199! I can’t justify spending that much on one lighter but I’m happy for those that can get them and enjoy them!
The super packaging the 90’s versions came in were cool, but personally I prefer a uniformed boxes that are easily displayed together. Easier to keep in order 😁
I really like this. I just would want to use it instead of stare at it on a box. Does anyone ever use the collectible of the year or would I be the only one?

Great advice! I remember you saying that in a live. Will need to act on it!
I’m very pleased with this years collectible and I agree the packaging is outstanding!
They did an excellent job!
Agree on every point Jon Zippo nailed it. Mine should be be here in a few days. !000 subs is just around the corner🔥
Woot woot! It’s a beauty!
Love the zippo car think the Jeep is about due for its own collector edition maybe not collectible of the year but definitely a special edition.
Yes! The Jeep is always easily overlooked.
I only have 1 Zippo that has the Jeep on it and it wasn’t even released by Zippo.
So cool. I read the story about the original Zippo car disappearing, I wonder if someone still has it hidden away 🤔
That will be so cool to find one day!
Mine will be arriving in the mail today🙂. Thank you again very much✌️.

That’s the best way to do it!

Yes, the US was reasonably priced this year, after the last two years of finding all 3 I agree with you on that.
i have the 1999 and 2016 collectable of the year and i like the 1999 better then the 2016 by a whole mile
Yup those are some good ones! I think you’ll like this one so much better
I expecting the all 3 variation to landings at my place...
Nice! Can wait to see pictures of people getting all three!

@@eliomba I have many good Zippo friends and they help me a lot...
@@rosger6808Nice man! no chance I withdraw you money and you buy me the Asian variant?😂
@@eliomba The prices got crazy now... I saw them at $400... very expensive 😳
Really like this zippo, sadly it's way too expensive for me at the moment but can't wait for when I can afford the COTY Zippo :)
Compared to previous ones, this one is fairly affordable. Last year it was about $160, this year you can find it for around $100

Love it, kinda wish they'd kept using tins but the boxes are pretty fancy!

I just got one as well but its probrably just gonna stay in the box
Same 😁😁
Which month do they come up with these? In January or December?

Haha, yes I understand your point. I love just looking at it. I do know people who purchase more than one with intent to use it and to display.
Got one - Beautiful!
🔥🔥🔥🔥
I wonder how much you bought the previous version during 1998?
I’ve gotten several for under $30…. Today they range around $50-$75
I try to search around ebay, look like the range start from $99 onward. Look like is a good investment.
