MASSIVE Zippo Collection of over 600 Zippos
Hey everyone, It's been awhile!
I have missed making videos, so I felt it was time to do a collection update video. (I was limited on music choices, so feel free to mute it or substitute with your own.)
If you have any questions regarding specific themes, Zippos, or displays, let me know in the comments. Future content may be based off of comments received.
Over the years I've been inspired by so many collectors on the various ways one can display, and organize their collection. That is what I hope to do when making my videos, inspire new and current collectors to grow and display their collection proudly. I LOVE a well organized and displayed collection and I am fortunate to have a space where I can do that.
The beauty of collecting is that everyone has their own taste, own style, and own opinions on what should be collected. I tend to have a wide interest of themes: Historical/ Replica models, personal Zippos, limited Zippos, random smaller themes, NASCAR, or just cool designs.
No matter if you think that it is overkill or not, that is what I enjoyabout collecting (especially Zippos). You do you.
I currently own around 800 Zippos, but keep about 600 displayed in my collection. The others usually make it own eBay or sold on Facebook groups to other collectors.

80 Years ago on June 6th, 1944, over 350,000 Allied Military personnel embarked on the largest land, air, sea operation in military history during Operation Neptune, commonly known as D-Day. As someone who is avid history buff, I enjoy collecting these pieces that honor those who served and those gave the ultimate sacrifice for their country. Zippo Review: 2024 Collectible of the Year
Переглядів 2,4 тис.5 місяців тому
The 2024 Collectible of the Year celebrates three Zippo milestones in an incredible display of artistry. Introduced as the Florentine in 1974, the iconic Venetian® pattern swirls on all sides of the Armor® case with our Laser Engrave process. The ornate design stands in gorgeous contrast to the Black Matte finish, which made its debut in 1984, while the Zippo flame icon is nestled among diagona...

This is the 1995 Zippo Swap Meet VHS tape. (Please excuse the lack of quality) In the 90’s Zippo’s involvement in the collector community was huge, and they invested in the collector community with huge events. Since the end of COVID Zippo has been slightly more involved by hosting special events at the museum that co-exist with swap meets (Lighter Palooza hosted by Widowmakers and Riley66), ho...

More than Lighters: Zippo Non- Lighter Items

Let me know in the comments what your favorite non-lighter item is in y...
Zippo Mail Call: They're Copper & They're Pretty ft. Riley's66

Everyone loves a Zippo with a story, especially when you are part of the "designing process!" The idea of this Zippo goes all the way back to Lighter Palooza 3 when Chuck was thrown off guard and is asked about copper Zippos. Being in the moment he said "They're Copper and They're Pretty" . After a few fun facebook comments, that Zippo idea is now a Zippo. The Zippo is limited to 30 and I have ...

JRO LIGHTS Zippo Collection Reveal: Over 500 Zippos!
Did you get these custom made from zippo with your channel name and art?
@@theamericangamer2696 Yes, they are direct from Zippo with my design. The UPC/ Product name says “JRO lights” They can be found on eBay or email me @ jrolights@gmail.com
Amazing. Can you tell more about a lighter on 06:55, which is placed above Drydene and to the right
@@oldmurk-eye Absolutely so the one directly above slightly to the right is Allis-Chalmers Dalrymple Equipment Co Amory Mississippi. (If that’s not the one) The one to the right of that is a Pastie with a seal from the Meridian Mississippi Police Department. Hope that helps!
sir will u be doing a give away soon
@@someone-mz4fg Maybe at 5k subscribers, only 2600 to go!
Really nicely displayed Jon, really like the way the first 2 displays of Zippo's are displayed with the information! Good to have you back on UA-cam!
Thanks! That’s the newest display set up. Inspired by the several people coming into the Zippo room and quickly browsing then being done. Put that display up and it gives them something to read and gain interest. It actually works! More questions and interest come from those displays now.
@@JRO_Lights Good to know! Probably going to implement it myself!
Fantastic video! Your collection is beautifully displayed 👏🏻
Thanks Chuck!
I get a big smile when I see those Spectrum Flames c:
@@SweetLittleAki those are my favorite. Hard to capture the beauty of those on camera lol
@@JRO_Lights For sure. Every time I take pictures of my collection, it never does them justice lol.
Your collection looks fantastic! Each display is so eye catching and unique! Love to see it! <3
As always great content and Ty, Ty for sharing and changing it up!!! Keep ‘em coming JRo!
🇺🇸🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥®️🤘🏼🤘🏼💯👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
The 10 and a half minutes went by very fast as my eyes were all over the place. You have quite the collection and the displays (your way of doing things) were well thought out and functional. This will merit another view or two from me and wanted to share that the description from you in the heading is very nicely stated. Thanks for sharing as we have wondered about you and hope all is well. 👀😇🫶
P.S.- I counted 1,374 lighters but she doesn't need to know. 😱
Yeah it’s hard to get all of them in the video a decent amount of time. As far as the number, my wife was actually watching the video (she doesn’t travel to the zippo room very often) and she was like. Since when did you get that? 😂😂😂
Good to see you putting out a new video. Room looks good, one of these days I really need to dedicate a room to my own collection, though I don't have nearly as many cool display cases for my lighters.
I look forward to seeing it one day 😄 My favorite displays are the non Zippo ones, I’m not a fan of the automatic rotating displays. I prefer the manuals any day. One of the next videos I do will be able display ideas
Awesome video!!! Your collection has really evolved since your first videos. Definitely have given me some ideas on how to display some of mine. Really like the solid copper JRO Lights Zippo!! Looks sweet!
@@zippolyonsden1623 thanks! that’s a “prototype” for the 1k subscriber giveaway. Didn’t turn out well so had to scrap that after a few tries.
@JRO_Lights looks cool to me. Makes a nice addition to your collection as well. A few tries, though? Sorry to hear about that.
@@zippolyonsden1623yeah that’s when the coppers were $35…. Now they gone up 😂😂😂
Your collection looks great Jon! missed you at LP4,wish you could have been there! Glad to see your Blaisedell book and lighter arrived. Hope to see you at LP5 in Bradford next year!😃
Thanks! Next video will be about the new book and lighter. I’ve been reading it the past day or so.
Hope I could start some fresh Zippo content off with a collection update. One thing I love about collecting is the various and different styles, and themes. What themes do you enjoy collecting?
I started getting scared when my two days old zippo didnt want to light up but after doing this it works perfectly
What is liquid things
Lighter fluid
I had a gold zippo with a buhda on the front i loved that thing carried it for like 3 months then i lost it
It's not a Zippo. It's a Zip po.
Sweet! 👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks for posting! Great tips. Now I've got to get to it!!
Fake zippo in a real ziploc?
I have both of my grandfathers' Zippos that they carried in WWII. One was bought in 1940 and was chromed brass, now it's more like brassed chrome. The other was bought in 1942 and is the three hinged variety. It's steel with almost no paint left on it.
Nickel silver not nickel plated.
care with the solid fuel cell, i do believe those year, and wickof same year contains abestos. all in all, mch thanks for the video!
I carry mine in my watch pocket on my jeans
Fun fact: You can use a zippo lighter as a slide for a guitar.
No to the gay Zippo
$4 - parts only lol you lucky dog, I’m with you on the don’t clean such a vintage piece of history 👍🇺🇸
Use anything but a screwdriver on the screw 😂
@@quernalt Didn’t have one near me, but kinda why I said “anything” so that would imply a screwdriver. Thanks for watching!
@@JRO_Lights no insult intended bro😃
@@quernalt Non taken 😁 I did kinda wonder afterwards why I didn’t say a flat head. Lol If I redid the video I would recommend using the new bit insert.
These days a throwaway Bic? Zippo's competition in the 1930s was more thrilling and exciting. They were not just flame devices. They were works of art. Various designs. Various mechanisms. It truly was a fascinating world of lighters back then when Zippo was founded: Ronson, Evans, Dunhill, Flamidor, Mouchon, Quercia, Lancel, Myon, Karl Wieden, Kaschie (Karl Schieder) and many more.
Someone send me some zippos so I can make a video
Thank you so mutch for this tutorial, my grandpa gave me his Zippo about a year ago and its been sitting in my drawer, but i will renew it now.
very informative yet concise explanation! thank you sir
Hello from Argentina. I just get a naval advisors to the united states Zippo, and your video results very usefull. Thank for the pasion
Such an iconic American company. Thanks so much for filming this video. I absolutely love Zippos and I enjoyed it a lot.
Lucky strike zippos mors reliable than stocks rn
Good info JR. I just got a new Zip and sure enough it had the red markings. Another box checked for lifetime questions I’ve had about Zippo’s. Thanks brother!
I,m ,B, zippo 23,
I would love a Niagra Falls Zippo. I visited there in 1991 and remember the giant neon zippo ad.
Go Rebels!
Sterling Silver Zippo, seventeen dollars. It works. Big Time.
Oh I like Black Ice very much. Particularly that 1941 replica, brushed with Black Ice finish. Swap a torch or yellow flame insert in it for the weight. It is both elegant and heavy duty.😍
You gotta stop its oxidation first, right?
Almost all Zippo reviews on UA-cam do not do the open-clink sound demonstration. Is it because it could damage the lighter itself? Anyways, I like your videos and this collectible is gorgeous. Thank you very much.
Another trick is to store spare flints under the cotton barrier flap.
How do you feel about the rubber insert
Will it hurt to add cotton?
What impresses me about Zippo is how simple and how durable it is. For this reason, it is enough to own one and enjoy its use over the years. Scratches and wear accumulate, while I change the flint and wicks, fill it with gasoline, and I'm happy. A Zippo for life that I love.
Magnet. Saved you 8 minutes.
Only if it had a pure gold cover and a sterling silver inside. I only buy Zippo's used at an estate/garage sale for $5. Clean them and put a new sticker on it like Snap-on/Mac Tools etc.
